Only one  way to stop them,   never answer.
We all know what scam calls look like , from "unknown" to "private" , "name not found ", "toll free" & 000 prefixes..
Wouldn't it be great fun if no one in the entire US answered calls who's number they don't recognize? Even for a single day?!!!!

Received a call at 9:30 am today from this number, didn't answer because I was still in bed. They're probably very lucky I didn't answer because I DON'T LIKE being woke up!! They didn't leave a message, but according to what others have said, they more than likely wouldn't have said anything anyway, which would've really pissed me off!! Anyway, these companies keep calling and telling me that they are responding to a recent survey/questionnaire/application that I filled out, which I haven't! And when I ask them where or what website I "supposedly" filled this out at, they then repeat the same sentence from their script, "this is about a recent survey...blah, blah, blah! It's all scams, ways to get info out of me, or money...my number also is on the DoNotCall list, that was a waste of time!! I was getting calls from many different numbers, Fl, DC, etc...and all would be someone with a middle eastern accent stating they were calling from some dept from the US Gov't treasury and that I was eligible for a grant, after many many attempts at telling them to quit calling me, finally I told them that if they were really calling me from a dept in the US Gov't, then they would know that my number was listed on the US Gov'ts DoNotCall list! They've not called since!!! Hopefully it worked!! So try it next time they call you!!

I got a call this number and I don't know who it is

They are a Medical Supplies Telemarketer. I have asked them to remove me from my list. They didn't. I have now BLOCKED THEM. I suggest everybody check with their carrier to see what the options are. I have Verizon and have added a free 3 month trial of unlimited blocking. After 3 months I have the option of continuing with this service for $5.00/month. I figure after 3 months they will leave me alone (at least for awhile)

I  have  received  numerous  calls  from  860-516-8721   I  am  sick  &  tired  of  it  hey  NSa  WHY  DONT  YOU  SNOOP  ON  THEM  DO  SOMETHING  USEFUL  INSTEAD  OF  LISTENING  TO  HONEST  CITIZENS  CALLS.

I got a call from this number this morning for the first time. I'm sure they will make several more attempts. Normally I answer and sound very angry. When they start their spill about whatever it is they are calling for I say "NOT INTERESTED" then hang up on them! Some times I feel sorry for the person on the other end because it's just someone who is trying to do their job, and more than likely they are dialing blindly from a list they were given when they clocked in at work, and are reading from a script.  If you question them they as to what prompted them to call your phone number they get uncomfortable.  I find that they find a way to politely get off the phone when you as them questions about who they really are, and how they came upon your number, and who gave them the go ahead to call...

I keep getting calls from 860-516-8721. I answer the phone and whoever is on the other end hangs up. Very irritating. I've also let the calls go to voicemail but again, they hang up without leaving a message

It is very frustrating to get calls from   people who have time to waste. Why do they keep calling if they don't want anything? I do not answer calls from unfamiliar numbers but I don't want my phone ringing for no reason at all.

Got a call from 860-516-8721 - no message left. I'm getting really tired of this - 800/888/860 numbers should be required to identify themselves.

Reporting these calls does nothing. FTC does not care. That why the "NO-CALL" list is meaningless.

They have called a couple times over the last two days - never leaving a voice mail.
I answered out of curiosity today and the caller hung up almost immediatly without saying a word.

Same thing again.  They call but no one there. Pretty stupid to pay for a call and then do nothing with it.

Just received a call from this number. I answered but no one on the other end. I can only assume they are from the health insurance company others have been complaining about in the posts above. Seams like a waste to call someone and not try to sell them something.  Our number is listed as a business and therefore not on the do not call list.

When I get calls from unknown callers I simply pick the phone up and say nothing.  I've had birds squawking and dogs barking but I still just remain silent.  It confuses them and they hang up never to call me again.   It's a pity that the do not call list is ignored or they get around it with the teeny tiny print from your creditors which basically tricks you into allowing them to give your number to their authorized people/businesses.   If you don't allow, you don't get whatever it is you want so this is a form of entrapment and another way for the credit cards folks to make a buck at your expense.

If you have a smart phone like I do, I downloaded an App called Mr. Number. You can block any call with this app. It is great!

Got a call, no one said anything and they hung up. Called back and automated message about the health enrollment center came on. I spoke to "Steve" and he said he would take my number out, but he didn't even have it!!! I was calling from a blocked #. Called back again and he said its not his job and hung up. What the hell is wrong with these people?! I'm filing a report with the FTC, which I suggest everyone does.

I have a company investigator on the case right now, trying to get their real info.

I got one of these calls just now at 11:25 am CST.  I answered and there was nothing.  Don't PICK UP this number - I'm thinking it's a phishing scam to get good numbers?
