Found this number on caller ID no further information. When I called back I got a recording saying the number was disconnected or no longer in service.

I suspect it was some type of scammer running a fraudulent sales or other scam utilizing spooftel or a similar service to disguise their real number identity and location.

It's Central Connecticut State University Intensive English Language Program.

I got a call from these people last Friday, they were soliciting funds for the CCSU Alumni Association. The number is a general CCSU number, it is not specific to any department.

I did attend school there, so it's not a scam, but I paid my tuition when I was there. It feels awkward being asked for money years later.  Not sure if the CCSU Alumni Association counts as a genuine non-profit organization, but it's not an outright scam either.

It would be nice if they had the courtesy to use caller ID...
