Got a call from this number.  ID says it is PCR.  They left a message with a reference number to call back.  I assume this is a collection agency since I've been getting calls for the the person who previously owned my phone number for the last 16 months (as long as I've owned this number).  My voice message states my name and the business they are calling (doesn't sound anything like the person they are looking for) however, it doesn't deter them from calling repeatedly and at times leaving messages.  

Just because you get calls from a collection agency, it doesn't mean that you owe anything.  Keep in mind that telephone numbers do not follow a person.  People change numbers all the time and in fact, those that owe money are likely to change a phone number even quicker than others.  Just because a number was attached to a debt at some point in time, it doesn't mean that the person who owes the debt is still attached to the number. This seems to be something that people (especially creditors) don't seem to grasp.

No matter how you look at it, if they have been informed they have the wrong person, any repeated calls are harrassment.  

it is pioneer credit they call left message for a Katie Romero saying she had $4500 student  loan . I have had this number for 4 years. and my name is not Katie Romero. but if I could find her I would testify for her that they broke the law by telling some one that is not her about the bad student dept.

Legally, unless someone answers the phone, they aren't allowed - by law - to state any additional information anymore in voicemails. That started early 2013 sometime for collection type calls. I used to manage personal loans in the banking industry, how I learned that. Makes no sense.... Even customers don't want to call back when u don't say the company name?!?!

It is a call to those over 50 for a medical alert system

This company rang line 5 at my office asked for same first name, no one knows line 5 it is a roll over. One comment, don't contact this office I dont verify anything over the phone if you have a mailing address mail for this person mail  info If it is me I will respond if you don't get a repsonse you must have the wrong person! it is legal to contact anyone at their job it can cause them to lose their job, good luck PCR! scum suckers.... let people be and stop buying up s*** that has been uncollectible and maybe you won't have issues or a bad rep! I know a bunch of folks with the same first and last name of mine once googled!  

Calls come 2-3 a day. Leaves VM. Asks for Marty Lindel(?). Unknown. Had my cell number since 2007.

Calls come from these people, I speak with them on the matter of their concern and tell them they law, however they are law breakers and do not care, so I sing out of tune in teach one ear. don't get as many calls as I did before.

Melissa called me from this number, said to call some 800 # and use reference I35923.  I blocked her (thanks iPhone for finally adding this feature!) to see if she keeps trying from another number.  I'm a bookkeeper and I stay on top of my sh**t, so don't be trying to call me saying I have an outstanding debt.  Nice try beeyatch, hehe!

If their company really wanted to collect debt in a professional manner, then they would not hang up and actually answer the phone. Glad you informed her of that.

Understood. But most of the people here reporting this call do not own any debt to student loans so they are out of compliance breaking federal laws.

Left a voice mail on my cell twice in the last week.  She asked for me by name, stating she was Rene Mills, and would I please return the call at 1-866-269-0804 and use ref # H82229.  Oh yeah.  I'll get right on it.

I had one phone call from them , a I hanged up .. I didn't know who it was . and I hope they don't call again  please stop them .. !!!

It was originally Ron Aycock's Loan Star Title Loans, they told me, calling for Esmeralda Rodriguez.

I am not Esmeralda Rodriguez. Now they have passed off to this number in NJ.  Lady calls asking for Esmerda re: 867845 and to call Gail Johnson at 800 242 1582.

For about the past year, my office has received repeated calls from a number that shows up on Caller ID as PCR 862-902-5110. It's not really every day.... anywhere from 2-3 days a week, and never less than 4-5 calls in a day. There is NEVER anyone on the line. Today I was annoyed just enough to have some fun with this. I called the number back. The first person that answered was Tanya - when I said I wanted her company to quit calling mine, she just hung up. Um.... WRONG ANSWER. I called back again, and I would have done this every couple of days, 4-5 times a day just to be a pain. The second time I called, I got Cheryl on the phone and explained the situation, but I started with "I would really appreciate it if you would NOT hang up on me. I am just trying to fix a problem. I was on hold for about 5 minutes before a manager named Jennifer got on the line, and she took down all 5 phone numbers associated with my office, but couldn't find any of them in her system. She tried to tell me that they have been having phone problems that may be causing missdials. She got really quiet when I asked her, "for the past year??" She tried to talk around that, but I let her know that I understand where she is coming from, and that she has a job to do, but I made it clear that our company has a job to do too, and we can't do it while answering repeated calls from hers that are just hang-ups. She kept trying to get me to tell her who they were calling about, and I kept telling her I would be joyfully happy to give her that information if people from her company would stay on the line when I answer the phone.

Some Bi*** named Melissa has called every damn person that she thinks might know me from 1-862-902-5403.  If she comes across this message, I want to meet that bi*** face to face. Some damn nerve

I did hear the word "Pioneer" when I inquired about which company they represented, but they quickly segued away from that topic. I've been paying my son's Sallie Mae loan faithfully without one late payment since 2006.  I cosigned.  They had my name completely wrong.  They made no mention of Sallie Mae or debt or anything, just wanted my son's phone number.  FORTUNATELY, I didn't have it memorized and couldn't give it to them.  Thanks for filling us all in on what they're about.  I know Sallie Mae and I have no problems, so this is weird!

I received a call from this number by someone who is identifies themself as "Brian" looking for Brianna Sharpe with a callback number of 1-800-242-1582. I have received calls in the past from collection agencies looking for this individual. I save these numbers as phonebook entries and assign a  "Silent" ringtone. Problem solved. Thank God for caller ID and Voice Mail. "Brian" gives some kind of a service number beginning with the letter "G". I'll be happy to make this number public and post it on the Internet too if I continue to be disturbed with these calls. When I don't recognize a number I ALWAYS let it roll over to voice mail.

PCR HAS BEEN CALLING MY NUMBER FOR OVER TWO WEEKS.  THE CALL IN THE AM AND AGAIN AROUND 8::PM - EVERY DAY.  WHEN TRY TO ANSWER ONLY GET A RECORDING.  I HAVE FOUND OUT PCR STANDS FOR PIONEER CREDIT RECOVERY.  I AM 81 YEARS OLD AND DO NOT OWE ANY OUTSTANDING DEBTS.  I AM GOING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION IF THIS DOES NOT STOP

Called me on my phone, no message, and I am not even the legal age to take out a loan, only 14, so they have no reason to call me, my cell phone has no caller Id except for people in your contacts, so I can't tell who is calling by caller ID, and if this was a telemarketer my dad put my number no the no-call list, so f*** you however is calling me

Got a call from this number yesterday stating that I was listed as a reference for somebody! Ha, nice try.

This phone number from New Jersey calls me several times a day.  I don't answer unknown phone calls and they don't leave a message.  It's very irritating as they are calling up to 10 times a day.

I got a call from this number (682)902-5110 while at work today.  I was really confused, because they told me that I had been listed as a reference for a friend who is jobsearching, but I asked him, and he said he hadn't listed me as a reference for anything... and reading this comments, now I'm really unsure.  The voicemail didn't list a company name or say anything about why they were calling, aside from that I was listed as a ref, and to call them back and use a specific reference code.  I haven't called them back, and I'm not going to, from the sounds of things--and I hope they don't call again.

I constantly get calls from this PCR 862-902-5110. I can set my watch/clocks to them. One second after 0800 every morning Monday through Sunday all the way up to 20:59:58 at night. It is nothing for them to call a minimum of 6 times a day. I screen calls through my answering machine, the whole announcement plays then they hang up. Following this is a call from Huston TX @ 832-476-1739. Again, answering machine screening... get some male who can't speak up or clearly. All I can manage to catch is "Kathy, Call me" followed by unrecognizable speech. My phone id has kept a record all the way back to 6/3/2011, but they have been calling since the 20th of May when I answered a call blindly from a non-id phone. They were looking for my former sister in law named Kathy. I told them that she did not have permissions from this house hold to use any of our information for her transactions. That they need to stop calling here immedatly.... yet I am STILL getting them calling. Our son hasn't managed a nap in over two months because of their calling. I have gone as far to unplugging phones only to have my family call authorities to do a welfare check on us and learn we are fine... just unpluged the phones because of PCR and this Huston number constantly calling non-stop. I wish I had their contact information so I can legally rip them apart! ARG!

Recieving calls from caller...I want them to STOP.

This company calls incessantly every day, and they call at least 10 times per day even on the weekend.
