I had the same issue from Jennifer King from this # ( Ed Overcash LLC ). They called my mothers house number and left a voice mail detailing my information and that there was apparently a debt I owe. I don't believe this is legal as you can't call and leave personal information like that on voice mails.

Jennifer King from this # ( Ed Overcash LLC ).. called me, asking for Me.... , we got into a standoff at the point she wanted me to say "YES" to identify who I was (which I refused !).... which you NEVER EVER do over the phone... because Scumbag companies like these, take your recorded voice saying "Yes" and plug it in Anywhere they want.... BEWARE of this !! She was so frustrated ( as well as arrogant, rude and obviously NOT educated !!! ) she states ... ready for this .... " Are you <my FULL name> at < my FULL address>,phone number <my FULL phone number> with a Social Security number of <my FULL social security number> ... ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME ..... ALL MY PERSONAL INFO FOR SOMEONE TO MALICIOUSLY STEAL MY IDENTITY ..... I will be calling my attorney Monday ... As a Nurse.... giving out THAT information to anyone, especially on the phone is ILLEGAL !!!!!!!!  I will not stop short of Jennifer King being fired on Monday as well as some other heads rolling !!!!!!!!!!!!

This caller claims to be a law office asking for someone other than me.  Then they should know the rules of the FDCPA. They are not supposed to be giving out the names of persons in debt to strangers.  They are calling any live number as they obviously do not have the correct phone number.  I have had nearly a hundred debt collectors calling my phone for many different persons.  EVEN AFTER CEASE AND DESIST letters to original creditors.  How the *&^% is my phone number listed for so many different names, all of which are supposedly in debt?  Are these callers just looking for personal information and compiling a list of names and phone numbers?  This caller also uses the number 888-401-2711.  Complain to your Congressman.  These callers leave messages about other persons' debts on the answering machine of persons that should not even know about their debt.  Complain to the FTC @ftc.gov.  Take pictures of the phone caller ID and get a lawyer (one you know).

Refused to identify self.  Looking for Raquel and could not even pronounce the name correctly.

I would pay if I could pay. But,  I think I would rather take a beating that give any money I might have to this type of obnoxious and harassing debt collector.

Name given by caller was Law Office of Ed Overcash. Collecting for someone who does not live here.  When asked, caller refused to give address for cease and desist letter. (The internet was more helpful) This refusal is in violation of federal law. Filed complaint with BBB, FTC, and South Carolina Attorney General.
