Im an office manager... after a dizen or so calls for an employee i basically threathened him and said " do not call this place of employment again".... And made him acknkowledge my request . A***ole scammer

Please be careful! Had to change everything! I received a call from officer kevin nash Friday morning indicating I was going to be arrested Monday due to non payment if loans and theft! I had to pay him $550 in order to stop thiz "legal" matter! It bad that i was stupid enough to give him my social because he said he had it on a message he left me! He also got a hold of my address! Thank god I refused to pay him!

this man called with a heavy indian accent stating his name was david cooper, now i do not know of any indian man with the name of an american man,  he told me that i took out a payday loan and wants me to pay him, but he doesnt want to send me a bill will not tell me who i took the loan with and keep saying that he has a warrant out for my arrest, the bad thing is everytime i call no matter what day i call he is always the one to pick up, yesterday he tried to call me several times back to back, and when i blocked my number and called him back the phone would ring 3 times and goes to voicemail, i called him like that 5 times and it did the same thing, when i unblocked my number he picked up the phone..... i wanna know wether this is a scam and is my identity in jeapordy, because i know for a fact that they cant lock you up for failing to pay a payday loan, they will levy acounts and stuffs but they cant lock you up..

It is a scam! The guy called me saying he was an officer Nash and somebody had accused me of selling them drugs, and he needed my SS# and other info to clear my name. A very persistent person, called my mom for weeks until she gave him my phone number.

Same thing happend to me today. A officer David Cooper and I am not sure if it was Andrew Simmons or Antru Simmons because I could not understand them when he was spelling it out for me. Said I would be arrested tomorrow. He had my address, place of employment, social security number and the last few digits of my bank account number. I did not give him any information or pay him anything. I called my local police dept, the FBI and the Attorney General of Texas and filed a consumer protection report with them.

I do collections FOR REAL- my clients have called me saying a Mr. Watson (thick Indian Accent) calls to arrest them if they don't pay $100 right now. Who on earth falls for this??? Sorry, but it's true- a fool and his money are soon parted. Why would you pay money to someone who can't talk civil to you and give you options, proof, etc... Just sad but there is ALWAYS a bottom feeder in any industry

This same guy called me and said he was Officer Alex Watson and said that I had not repaid a loan. Then he told me the last 4 of my social and said they had been trying to contact me through email. I told him that is crap you dont get court documents through email. I called him back after calling police and told him he was fraudulent and that I was going to pursue this. The police are also calling him.

They are a scam They have a system that allows them to have any random set of numbers show up on your caller ID any time they call me(BTW I actually am a private investigator and there is no record of any attorneys with these names or Bar numbers) I only give my attorneys info and they never call back

This guy named office Black keeps calling me on my cell phone and the office where I used to work.   I finally called him back and he said he was sending officers to arrest me because I had several reports against my SS# for fraud and such.  I told him I already contacted local law enforcement and he was never to call me again.  He told me he would call has much as he wanted and said a few choice wrods then hung up.

yeah, i got a call today from this number/ OFFICER TONY BROWN. dude had a very strong accent, so bad i hung up on him. he calls back and leaves a msg stating that a lawsuit has been brought against me by a payday loan company by the name of SOUTHERN US and that i need to call back to resolve matter. so i called back once i was able to let him say what he had to say. i asked how much loan was for , when was it deposited and into what accout? he couldnt answer any of these questions, said that info is in lawsuit documents and i would find out once i was brought to court . i said fine, take me court, you have my info, send over the subpoena and hung up.

i think they do this b/c people who actually have payday loans out may think its true, get scared, and go ahead and pay them over the ph. they should be ashamed. anyone with an ACCENT talking about some MONEY to me,  can kiss my you know what. EVERYONE SHOULD FOLLOW THAT SAME GUIDELINE. :) lol!

A man by the name of Peter Black with a very strong accent.   Could not understand but he said I was in a big mess something about a private investigation.

I am in the same boat as you. They called me from the previous number and now they are calling me from this most recent one as well. I also demanded they send proof of the debt to my home address and they told me they couldn't do that and I said well it's illegal and I went a long with it for a while not giving any personal information but they wouldn't give up too much information. This is a scam, fraud where they scare people and some people who are foolish give them a credit card number and they take them for everything they have.

This number has been calling me all day, this person has left2 messages saying I am going to be arrested tomorrow morning but won't tell me anything else. I've called the PD about this and was told not to worry about it that someone is just playing game. It scares me because this person says they have my ss#. The person doesn't even speak english and won't say what police department he is from.

Just received a call from this number 864-556-0179 ext 157 for a David Cooper bad English could not understand him, he had the last four digit of my ss# and told me that I took out a loan for 350.00 and would have to pay 549.00 back and that I need to ger a lawyer. I ask him for the company and he gave me Southern USA 239-259-1649.  Called and they would not tell me anything told me to call David Cooper back. Will not be giving my personal info out to them.

I also received a call from this number regarding the same information wanted by them as everyone else.  I did not give them the information they wanted, instead reported it to the FTC where they are now on report again, because I am sure it is not the first time, I then called them back to remove my number informed them I have reported them and when they wanted my name I would not give it to them so they would hang up.  This is TOTALLY A SCAM if they call all I would tell them is that you have reported them, whether you did or not, to the FTC and maybe they will get the point that they are not getting any money and eventually stop.  The males that call have a very strong middle eastern accent and speak very little english.

I got a call from 864-556-0179...they have called both my cell phone and my work phone.  The man barely speaks English, but says his name is Officer John Matthews.  I can't relly understand where he says he is calling from.  He claims that there is a suit filed against me.  I asked him to please send to my home address written proof of this debt, and that I am entitled to that information according to the Fair Debt Collections Act, he got very agitated and from then on would not let me get a word in.  So I ended up hanging up on him.  I got a call from another number back in early June with the same scam....that number was 239-259-1649. Again, the man hardly spoke English, but said he was Officer Michael White from the Bureau of Crime and Restitution, but the scam was the same.  They stopped calling me when I demanded they stop calling my job or I would sue for harrassment, and when I asked for the information be mailed to my home address.  So I guess they just jumped over to another phone number.  This is nothing but a scam.

I received several calls today from this same number. Very nasty said I was going to be arrested tomorrow.  Said he had a deposition for my arrest. Very heavy accent. had the last 4 numbers of my social security number. Told me he was some officer of special agent. Then kept calling my personal extension at work.  I figured this to be some scam, but I changed all my passwords on my bank accounts. If he calls again I am calling the my local law authorities.  He was stupid enought to leave this on my work phone voice mail and my cell phone.

I had someone called me and couldn't understand them. He said I took out a payday loan  which was not true. He threaten to have me arrested on my job. They had information on me that I don't know where they got it from. I glad to have read the other comments which I also figure they were a scram.

He called me again as I was reading your post.  I called him out for being a scam and he said that he was going to send the police to come and pick up my hubby and that he was with the federal govt.  He said that he would just tell the govt that the wife says they are a scam.  I said,  "Fine...if you are the federal govt you won't mind telling me which branch you are with."  He said he was transferring me to his chief officer and then left me on hold forever.  I hung up.  I'm just waiting for him to call me back.

First of all you need to contact the Fair Trade Commission, the Social Security Office, the FBI and the Attorney Generals Office in your state and report this.  My attorney called them and they hung up on her and refused to give her an address.  They are clearly a scam.  The person that called me was a Chief Office Roger Smith with an India accent which I could not understand a word he said.  Somebody has sold them Social Security numbers so you need to contact the above as soon as possible and maybe we can find out who sold them our Social Security numbers and sue those persons.  Don't hesistate!

I have received calls from a guy that tells my wife to have me call this number when I get home.  The number that shows up on the caller ID is 239-259-1649, but they tell me to have my husband call the 864-556-0179 back.  He has told me that his name is Michael Black, Kevin Nash and with both names he has told me that he was an officer investigating a crime with my husband's SS#.  He will not tell me any more info than that.  He did call me once and asked to speak with my husband and said that my hubby used to work for him.  I told him that I was the wife and he asked was my name Amy.  When I said no it isn't he began to tell me that I was not the wife and that the wife's name was Amy.  He proceeded to tell me that my husband must be carrying on an affair or perhaps has two wives.  He asked me what was wrong with me for my hubby to be having an affair.  He asked me if I was black and I said yes ( I am not, but didn't want to give the person any personal info) he said that was what was wrong with me.  He told me he has a picture of my hubby and Amy and she is brown.

I have received calls since then from 2 different sherriff's departments (one in Califormia and one is Georgia) that said that someone is calling from my number to local businesses (with an indian accent) and using my husband's name to make lewd comments to the ladies who answer the phones.  Phone company said that it was impossible for that to happen.  Apparently the phone company doesn't know as much as these guys do.  I would love to know how to make this stop.  My hubby is worried about identity theft.  He knows my hubby's SS#, our address and his home and work phone numbers (he has also called him at work). I will work with people to catch him (or them).  If anyone has any sort of lead on how to do that I'd love to know.

This man has called using the name Officer Alan Alan Jones stating he is coming to take me to the police station. He goes as far to tell me my address, ss#, and date of birth. He has called my cell and my work. I have reported him to the police and they are working on tracing where the number is coming from. Just recently they felt as if they were getting very close.

On 3/23/2011, at 12:55 pdt, I received a voice message on my personal office telephone from a from a person who identifed himself as Stephen Davis (broken East Indian accent) from the Legal Dept of LCS. He stated there is a legal lawsuit filed against me and my SSN is under federal investigation.

The message demanded I contact him at 347-562-5022.

Reverse Directory identifies the number as a unpublished land line from Staten Island, NY

On 3/23/2011, at 1:03 pdt, I received a voice message on my personal office telephone number,from an person who identified himself as Officer Jamison or Addison (broken East Indian accent) informing me there is a complaint against my SSN. He stated I must "call before something goes wrong for you" and "your situation is a legal mess".

There was a busy sound of voices and clicking in the background of the voice message.

His message demanded I contact him at 845-556-0179 x 569.

Reverse Directory identifies the number as a cell phone from Anderson, SC

This person by the name of "Peter Black"  and he told me that he was an officer (never said what type of officer) badge number 152. He told me that I took out a loan online and did not pay it back and that there are now criminal charges being brought up against me. I had a very hard time understanding what he was saying. He told me that I could settle outside of court. What I needed to do was to "fax" him a note stating that I was sorry for defaulting on the loan and write out all of my credit card information for the amount of $545.32.The fax number was 206-350-1619. The thing that bothered me the most is that this person some how got the phone number to my job and spoke with my boss, so my boss was under the impression that I was in some legal trouble and he (my boss) called me to ask me about it.

Got a voicemail on my work's main number.  I'm the receptionist and a part of the HR department too.  The voicemail was a very heavy accented voice, and identified himself as Officer Nash.  Stated there was a lawsuit against "you" and your SSN was under investigation.  The issue is, I answer the office's main number and so he only knew what company was called.  We do not publish a staff listing publicly.  We are also in a location near the US Federal Gov't and we constantly work with all the various departments and companies and he surely did not call from one of them.  If he had truly done so, he would have fully identified himself, the company and department he worked for and barely given out any information.

It is a scam to get you to give personal details so they can get your money or steal your identity.

I got that same call notifying my local authorities as well.  this is a real freak.

This man that claims to be Mikel Wright and has been harrassing my work phone and my personal phone claiming I owe money.  He will not give the name of the company.  It is a scam.

Got a phone call today saying I would be arrested tomorrow.  He couldn't tell me why I was being arrested but said I could read it in tomorrow's newspaper.  Steven Jones was this officers name.  He has a thick accent that I could barely understand.  When my wife took over the call, he was very nasty to her and hung up. Calling him back, I let him know that I was on the loud speaker where all the neighbors could hear as my witness.  This is a scam, be careful to give any info to these people over the phone.  I don't owe anything. All I do is go to work and church. What trouble could I get into?  This is a call that don't make sense.

I recieved a phone call from this gentleman saying he was a detective  saying I took out a payday loan said it was for 300.00  and told me when I took it out and I know I didn't and that I need to show up in court.  Won't give anymore information, I told him I he is a liar and hung up.  I believe this comes from if you applied for any payday loans on line they get all your information and just reroute you to another page.
