They are a debt collection company , with to much time on their hands since no one can affordt to pay off debt   =)

Caller claims to be from some outfit called C. R. Associates, looking for me and they have important legal documents concerning taxes I'm unaware of. 'cuse me? WTF?

I don't owe anybody.  Why are they calling me?

Oh, and I have to laugh b/c why on Earth would anyone send MY legal documents to a city and state that I do not even reside in!  Even if it was a creditor and they were going to sue me over a debt - I still would be the one receiving the legal documents - not a 3rd party collection agency.

How stupid do some of these companies think people are?!

They are C&R Associates.  I did not have time to speak with them as I was at work and thought it was someone else.  They told me I had "legal documents" that were "very important" and that "a partner" wanted to speak with me.  A quick google search will show you that they are a "junk debt" collection agency that has repeated violations of the FCRA with the FTC.  I found some helpful information from this link, which I am not trying to advertise or whatever - but it was helpful in the event you get a telephone call from them - http://www.banklady.com/Consumer-Recovery-Associates-scam.asp
