Caller ID shows Operation Divis

This is G.C.Services out of Knoxville, TN.  They are calling the wrong number.  Report them
under the FDCPA.

I receive a call from 865-687-8993 at least twice a day on my cell phone. I told the guy that he had the wrong number, but the calls keep coming. I just refuse to answer the calls anymore. This is beginning to become a nuisance.

I keep getting voicemails on my cell from "Nick" at this number.  I happen to work in a collections-based business, and the most recent message he left me was NOT appropriate to his line of business.  He did not speak in the message, he chastised me and tried to guilt trip me into calling him back since I've so far ignored his request.

I got a notice in the mail for my student loan advising that they hired a collections service... happens to be this one.  I'm about to call the loan place and let them know that they should not use this company as they aren't going to get anything from anyone by being rude.

They are called GC Services.  Their website is gcserv.com.  
Do not give them any information!!!  If they call you regarding a collection, I suggest calling the company the debt is with ASAP to get it straightened out.  If they advise you to call GC Services, tell them you would rather deal with their company directly and ask to speak to a manager.

This number calls 2-3 times a day.  I never answer and they never leave a message. When I try to call back, I get no answer.

Had a call from this number. Called it back because I did not recognize it. A woman claimed that she was from the Department of Education. She stated that the call was about a delinquent student loan. She told me that if I make 'x' amount of payments on it that they can wipe it from my credit report. Then stated that if I chose to just pay it in full it will still be on my credit report. I got an extension for a woman named Alicia Burnett (ext. 5322) who I am supposed to contact about settin up payments. I am definitely calling into the Department of Education first!

Caller Id said Operation Division. Lady asking for someone else with same last name,when asked how she got my number, she swore the person she was looking for gave her my number to call if her number ever got disconnected.  Lady was loud and frantic sounding.  Figured it was a someone trying to find a new number for someone and just calling around since I do not know anyone by that name.

Received 2nd call from them.  Did not answer 1st one.  Second one was somebody asking for "Chris" (my husband's name) and they needed me to verify his name and DOB (which was wrong).  I asked who was calling and they said "GC" but were unable to tell me anymore information and insisted I verify his name and DOB.  I just said no and they would have to call back.  
Sounds like a collection agency looking for somebody else that happens to have the same name as my husband.

They call a couple times a week fishing for information.  They leave messages which are generally vague.  No specific information given except they are with GC services and it is very important that I call them.  Sounds like a bill collector.

I keep getting automated calls looking for Katia Swchwartz. I dont know this person. It says press 1 if you are her press 2 if not. I pressed 2 but they keep calling. I dont know who this dead beat is what can I do. This also keeps putting this on my answering machine. I believe this person must have lived in my house before I bought it and there just going off the address. No peace, what can i do.

This number just called me asking me to send my children to my neighbors house with a note for them.  If you see this number on your caller ID report it and do not answer.

I keep getting calls from these idiots on both my home and cell phone numbers. I never answer on the cell, but we don't have caller ID on our land line so sometimes I end up picking up the phone. They're looking for the people who had our home telephone number before we did, but we don't know them. I keep telling them this but they keep calling. The calls started within 24 hours of giving our home phone number to Volvo as a callback number for roadside assistance. They recently connected it to my cell phone number and started calling that too.

I got a call from this number at 8am this Saturday morning, guy was looking for someone I have never met i have lived in this house for the past 25 years and have no roommates or relatives by that name, but they have called quite a few times. so i just stopped answering the phone.

Guy said his name was Eddy but wouldn't let me talk to his supervisor.  Just wanted me to confirm my address, phone number, last 4 of my social and year of birth which were wrong.  He wouldn't tell me what the call pertained to.  He was very rude and pushy!  Called late at night too.

This number is calling in here and keep calling in here all the time.  They asked if I was such and such person, so I figured, for the heck of it, I would just say I was, after all those calls prior.  They asked me for my last four digits of my SS#, but I only said, I don't give out that kind of personal information.  Haha.  The guy then started talking about student loans that were past due.  After he was finished giving me his riot act, I told him that I wasn't that person at all, but was curious why they called so much and needed to find out and thanks for all that great debt information on that guy they were trying to get ahold of.  The guy was really upset that I jerked him around.  I told him to just print more paper money and pay the damn bill.  Haha

They called me too about my student loans and was talking about hardship programs and say that I could make multi thousand dollar payments and get back right.  I told them that that didn't make any sense.  They have called here plenty of time to try and get me and has called my mother's house looking for me.  Like someone else said I'll only deal with the Dept of Education with this business.

Received a call from Operation Divis, 865-687-8993 on 1/7/2010 at 10:57 a.m., but no communication was made.  I don't have any student loans, past due debts, nor do I have any reason for these d*** folks, and other bill collectors to call my number and never ask for me, but somebody else!!!

Calls here early in the morning asking for a distant relative. Ask them to remove my number, the woman said "No, I'll call there till you or your husband tell me how to reach Nicholas." I told her again to remove my number. She said I could not do that yelled at me my husband would be more cooperative and hung up. I called 1-713-777-4441 (GC Services as mentioned here) and gave them the information to remove my number. I also filed a complaint with the ftc. Please file a complaint, it is the only way to stop them.

Stop calling us!

Just called here for one of our employees...told me it was personal business(we all know that means bill collector)...I explained then you need to use a PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER.  Hung up.

These people called and and asked for our-handicapped,learning disabled,out of work-son.When I Questioned them they turned,rude,crude,and socially undesireable.When I checked the screen on our phone I called the number,and it was a bank in Texas.I asked to talked to the bank supervisor-she called the number and got her bank switch board.She was perturbed that they were using her bank's number.They are looking into it.They are going down!

I just go 4 calls from this company within the last three hours.  They don't leave messages - so I called them back and told them they had the wrong number and not to call anymore, told them the person was deceased and they wanted to know when they died.  Told them I am under no obligation to give them any information.  the lady said fine we can look that up - and said they will not call anymore. we will see

They called me saying they are a financial institution and wanted me to put a note on my neighbor's door. First of all my number is on the no call list, second of all, they have the address and if the neighbor wanted to talk to them they would respond to a letter.

This number has been coming up on my cell phone caller ID.  I'm not waisting my minutes with this crap.

I got a call from this number from a guy who was claiming to be trying to reach a neighbor at an address adjacent to an apartment that I had just recently moved away from. He was looking for someone named Robert. I at first took him at his word, told him as far as I knew there was no Robert at that address, but later was suspicious and looked up this number here.

Probably some kind of debt collector looking for this guy is my guess. OR someone trying to confirm that I had moved, for whatever reason.

I tried calling the number back on another phone, and no one answered.

Definitely a bill collector. They are affiliated with student loan delinquencies.

865-687-8993 caller id shows Thomas Mize, no message left, probably a bill collector; lately someone has been trying to track down a relative through me; my relatives have enough problems without me narcing them out to a collection agency; besides, those guys get good money to trace people down.
