I got a call from these criminals (only the area code was 250). Honestly!!! Do they think we are all stupid. Of course I will answer a call coming from 123-4567 - in your dreams a-hole!

And what cheap boogers they are...they only let the phone ring 3 times and then hung up to avoid LD charges.

Clearly criminal activity - planned fraud.

Phone rang twice and I answered it.  There was no response for 5 seconds or noise on the line so I hung up.  After checking my caller ID and discovering the # was 866-123-4567 I became suspicious/curious of what might be up and decided to do a search.  I was provided this forum and here I am.  Who are these entities and why are they targeting me?  If anyone knows of any legitimate reason to use this caller id # I would like to know.  There are too many scammers out there for my comfort!

'been getting calls from this # foF several wks now - we never answer unknowns, it says TOLL FREE CALL on the called ID.  It keeps on ringing until answering machine comes on but no msgs left!  No doubt these are scammers & low-lifers, who don't know how to earn decent money!!!  They know they are losers!

Received my second call from 866-123-4567 last week.  At the time I remembered something a former telemarketer told us during a business meeting and immediately began pressing the # symbol on my phone.  This is supposed to have some very disruptive impact on the computer making the call to me.  Whether is works or not, I don't know--but, [knock on wood!] I have not had any such calls since.  Try it.

got a call last night, have had this call several times, didn't even pay attention till I looked at the number and became suspicious...left a voice mail for the first time ever, and did not understand the words.  We are on the DNC list but it doesn't do a bit of good.  We get more "spam" phone calls than anything.

DNC # and a Business at house get the Spam Robo Dialer Call, after 9-09 it is a serious $17K fine I believe and this is why I tried to get the rep from the "Philipines" I bet, engaged, repeating herself and elaborating on the great Free Vac with no strings attached, either a One Night Stay at La Quinta or another hoter or the free 2 night cruise to Bahamas, no she didn't know the provider, you sound so young on the phone , how young are you??  Is this for a Timeshare tour???  Oh, noooooo not at all no catch, offer, you interested or not you takking up my time,,,here in boilerroom in Manila.

We've been getting calls from this number for the past few days.

They call frequently. I never answer and they don't leave a message.
Last call was 4:00 pm today, 1/11/2010.

Called every 10-12 min from 11 am until 1 pm then between 2 & 5. probably from one of those traveling telemarketing companies that set up 100 phones in the back of a semi !!! Don't leave messages

Says they're the Global Travel Network...I just won and they want to verify my info.  Yeah, right!!  I'm on the do not call list and since they don't know my name...how could I have won??

Got several of these calls this past month now.  Never answer them.  Caller is unidentified, but it's so obvious the number is bogus.  When the calls go to voice, they hang up.  Going to answer the next one, then press # several times.  Someone said they'd gotten a tip from some "in the know" telemarketer who said it disrupts the robo-dialer.  She tried it and hasn't gotten another call from this source since.  Worth a try.

Always Answer These Types Of Calls - They Have To Pay For Completed Call.  Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.

Just got a call from 866-123-4567 .I was sound asleep and normally don't answer calls till I check the caller ID but I goofed this time A man with an Indian (?) accent started touting  some kind of vacation package.He sounded like he was reading off a card but his English was quite good unlike some of these calls where the ENglish is so poor you can't understand them . I let him ramble on ( it's HIS nickel) then told him I don't do business over the phone, am on the DO Not Call list and don't call me again. THen he started his spiel about how young I sounded and would I give him my age (???) I told him None of his business and hung up I am sure that IF i had given even that apparently innocent info it would have been given to some other scammer who targets ppl in my age group I hung up on him.

I get calls from this same number almost daily. It is some travel bu***hit. They said I filled out a form, and they are only following up. I never fill out anything that would have a call back to my home unlisted phone. I too, am on the DNC lsit...has not done a damn bit of good!

No message left. Do not know who called me.

Another Bon Voyage Travel call.  They just want money.  They tried to tell me they got my information from a list that they purchased or someone else (like a friend of mine) gave them my info.  Funny, no one I know would do that and I'm supposedly on the "Do Not Call List" and also have FRAUD alerts on my credit.  Sad how we can't keep our info from anyone!!!

They lied about who they are-Grant Education.I am going to find out who they are and turn them in to TX Att.General

here to report that i just received an unsolicited call from "grant education" at this 866 number. it went to voicemail but no message was left. i never answer calls from numbers i don't recognize, but will report any additional occurances.

Caller ID shows many recent calls received from this number - no messages left. I will update when I am here to take a call.

keeps calling and every time i ask to be taken off the call list, they hang up. these guys need to be reported to the FCC

Calls at least four or five times a night and late as well.  Called last night at 9PM.

Someone just called, but it was a woman who started singing a song, then hung up a few seconds later. I called the number back but a recording told me that the number cannot be completed as dialed.
