Same story here - calls from a person with an Indian accent, will not leave any details of the company other than occasionally (but not every time they call) giving the company name as Focus Management or Focus Receivables, gives 866-451-5827 as a call-back number.  The one time I did call back, I was told I needed to speak to Steve Weiss, and asked to leave my number so he could call me back.  

The calls are coming to a public library, so there's no debt that they could be calling about.  Our fax machine has been getting a phone call at about the same time every morning and I have a feeling it's the same people.

I have been recieving calls from "Unknown" ( my husband works for the phone company so we have made sure that unkown #s are blocked) though for some reason these people from "Focus Receivable" get through as unknown. Anyway, its always someone with an Eastern Indian accent who you can barely understand, the first time I would not validate my mailing address so he hung up, the second time i said that is where i get mail, & he went on & on about how i dont pay my bills bla blah blah, I kept asking for a number to call them back but he would not give it to me & said i would not call back because i dont pay my bills so i hung up. This time it was a woman, when i asked for a call back # she gave me 1-866-451-5827 and said her name was "Janet Green".  we do have some debt but this does not show on our credit report as a debt w/ this company--think its a scam!!

We don't have any loans, other than the federal one for our daughter's school. AND if it was past due, they would make attempts to contact us first, before turning it over to a collection agency.

I have demanded to know who they are, when I've bothered to answer. Was simply told "I'm a debt collector". To which I reply " F*** you and the horse you rode in on. I owe you nothing and you will stop calling me NOW". That lasts for about a week, and then they call under a different number.

They never really say who they're calling for or what it really is. All they're trying to do is get information from you. What ever you do, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

Have no idea who it is but they keep called my cell number which no one really has. they use my minutes and never leave message. if i call back it says to hold on a minute.

I think it's Aegis Receivables, which has an F rating from BBB and they call from India, thinking they can harass people all they want and get around U.S. collection laws.
