They have called me several times in the past two days and finally I answered today saying "Hello? Who is this?" It was quiet on the other line and I heard someone but they just hung up! I want to find out who this is!

Looking from the comments below, I don't  know why this # is calling me in the U.S. I have never had an account of any kind with these people.

I know it's a late reply but it's 7 years. Bow I know how you feel cut I've worked for them before and it's bs. And now it's happening ti me where they claim in owe when I gave an arm and a leg to cut off all outrageous services....

I have the same thing occurring. This number calls me incessantly. When I pick up and say, "Hello," the call ends.

This number has been calling me several times a day ( 6-9 times) every day and even on weekends and yes on Sundays also. When I answer "Hello" there is dead air ( 15 seconds) then hang up. I'm sick of them calling.  They never say who they are or what they want. This is total harassment on their part. I will be contacting my lawyer to see what can be done.

This number started calling contiually so I decided to not answer and record how many times they called. Today alone this number has called 8 times every 3 hours. next time Im gonna answer. which should be fun

I've read these comments. They must be idiots because I donts have anything from Bell. Can't wait to talk to these losers then report them to the Consumer Board.

Hi For the past month I keep getting these calls from 1-866-206-8371 they say that they are calling from Bell Canada collection and when I have called them back they said that the Number I had given them was closed and they did not no why I was called I tried to explain to them that the phone was a pay as you go and I didn't under stand how the account could be closed. They told me that they would remove the number from their system. Later that night I had another call they looked up the number and was told that the number was not found they asked for the number and then said you are not Natasha. the said they would block my number. this worked for one day. I am tired of it and want the calls to stop.

I just call bell canada to ask them if its their number or their service and they answered me that this is a cell phone number not reliate to a bell canada service! So be carefull guys they r frauding u!

BTW Collection Agent, its called a Statue of Limitations.   Two years from the DLA, although they may report it for 7.   But it cannot be held against you by the Company after two...thanks for attempting to come out

At Collection Agent-   Actually I do, this coming from both Ontario government and the Federal level.   Either way, Imnot on the hook for the money, because a)2 years have gone by, and b) They deliberately did not cancel my service when it I asked it be disconnected.

if a bill is 6 years old or more, statute of limitations in Ontario, they cannot sue you to get the money back.   So if its past 6 years, have fun with them.  Dare them to sue you.  They can't do anything about it.  Who knows, it could be a new source of free entertainment for you!

Even better, if you are not the person that owes anything, and they have the wrong number, lead them along into thinking you are the person that owes money.  What are they going to do, sue someone who doesn't live at that address?   LOL!

Collection agencies are leeches, they pretend to have power, even when in some legal circumstances they have none.   Don't be bullied by them.  Just jerk them around for fun.  Why not?  they would do it to you!

I received many messages on my Rogers cell phone appering as "Bell Canada" asking to call
1 866-206-8371. I di call one and this is definitely NOT Bell Canada. They put me on hold and than started asking personal questions.I did not feel right and I hung up.

Its a SCAM. I gave them false account numbers and they said that I owe 200 $.

Dropped Bell as my telecom provider because of blatant incompetence and off-shoring their Internet tech support and billing divisions. The company has gone downhill (as their languishing stock on the TSX affirms). Company has been shopped around and was bought by the Ontario Techer's Pension Fund apparently.

They are remarkably stupid people at the Credit and Collections Center. The supervisor was rude, the agent was rude. Everyone is rude because they assume everyone they deal with is a deadbeat. There was only one tiny problem: they began calling to collect BEFORE my final bill was due. Automated calls would come in telling me there was an important matter with Bell Canada to discuss.

When told to stop calling me as the bill hadn't been received, they told me, "We'll stop calling when you pay your bill." I pointed out it wasn't even the due date. It didn't matter. A phone call would come daily from them, often without a message. I told them in February, "Every call you make to collect a bill that is not even due will result in a further day's delay in payment."

Point is, I had the funds to pay them. But every time they'd call and annoy me, I would add another day they'd have to wait.

When they lose a customer, they want to make darned sure that they got their final payment. In that final bill was my contract cancellation for my mobile account -- a fee of $400. I'll tell you, I enjoyed paying that cancel fee because I want that idiot company -- Bell Canada -- out of my life.

They've been told -- one more phone call on a paid bill (I provided them with a confirmation number from my bank) -- and I would see them in court for breaking Canadian telecom law. It is an offence to make annoying or harrassing telephone calls. A collection on a bill that is paid *is* making an annoying or harrassing phone call.

bell canada land line and internet collections as well. out of Montreal quebec. curiously when you call it from ontario you cant reach it. but the local number 514-798-1573 which I believe is in Montreal can be reached at cost of course. very loud. disinterested staffer named Johannes.

The  billing is so bad. They bill even after you cancel the service and ask to pay. They do not listen what you say.

Dont know who but suspect Bell,they tried their crap before& I gave them a mouthful of profanity, that was it.

I keep seeing them calling my cell phone number, which I give out to nobody (I don't even know my own cell number).  What's more, the cell is on a Rogers plan.  Go figure.

Phoned back (worked for me from Ontario) and got Bell credit and collections.  They were looking for someone I had never heard of.  Promised to take my number off the file.  The person was polite about it and apologized for the inconvenience.

It was Bell Canada.  A very french speaking man called about a minimal account balance.  I had cancelled the phone (using cell only), but the landline phone line is still active since September!

yeah, poor bell canada.  Used to be a really good phone co.  no.  it sucks. same for bell express vu.  they cut us off No 27/09; kept billing us for december, and now january!  they expect us to pay them.  well, watch this space - it aint' gonna happen!  changed providers (phone and tv) NOW WE'RE HAPPY!  have good service and no supercilious, sarcastic, bell canada people to deal with!

said it was Natasha from Bell Mobility collection department saying we owe $204.69 and that our phones had been disconnected.  She got very ignorant when my husband told her we did not owe anything and she was very rude.  We warned her not to call again and she started calling my husband names.  We then hung up

Yup, Bell collections. I canceled their land line after I moved out of a house and they have been billing me for 9 months more. The annoying thing is that customer department and collections department dont have access to each other which is extremely stupid because I need to contact 2 different departments to help THEM sort THEIR problem out. A few times I have spoke with them they are extremely rude and very ignorant. I understand that they are probably trained to be bitchy and pushy but it is insulting when they think that their tactics will work on most people, especially if they have at least mediocre intelligence. Trying to bully others into paying for something that was not provided for them? Screw that. Bell is just on a power trip. I hope Canada brings in other landline companies like that did with cellphones so there is SOME competition.

I haven't had a bell cell phone in 10 years. There calling me out of the blue now with a reference #?
