MONTH HOSTING FEE 866-214-6082 WA - appeared on my credit card. When I call the number, a recorded message says to leave the last 6 digits of my credit card number (yeah right!) or press 2 to talk to customer service. Which then goes into la la land cuz there is no customer service dept....
I contacted my credit card company and they sent a letter saying that they were unable to obtain credits to my account from the merchant. (because they can't find them either!) Luckily I disputed the charges so I don't have to pay it but still.... I don't know if it's random or if they really have my credit card number associated with my personal information. - I don't know what to do, but I will contact Clark Howard to see what he has to say.

Same thing as most of you - mysterious month hosting fee charged.  I called and got the same response that a charge was made on one date and a refund made a few days later.  Well - it's now 3 weeks later and - surprise! - still no refund.  Called today and disputed the charge and cancelled my card.

If you have this charge CANCEL THE CARD NOW.  You won't get your refund!

this number was given me to dispute a charge on my credit card. An automated system answered and told me that a charge had been made on blah blah date and a credit for the same amount was made on the day before I called. I wonder if the credit would have been made if I had not called.

I have a monthly hosting fee of $12.50 from 1-866-214-6082 in my recent credit card statement. I called my credit card company and have them refund the credit for this authorized transaction. I also have them cancel my current card and issue a new one.

MONTH HOSTING FEE - $12.50 CHARGE  - same as other posts above...don't call the 866 phone number - they ask you for the last 6 digits of your credit/debit card number...this they can use to say you "authorized" the charge...don't bother calling.

This happened shortly after a purchase made from Amazon.com online.

Called the bank, but no information except the time and date the charge was posted.  Disputed it.
They cancelled the card, issued a new one.

Act immediately to cancel your card.

MONTH HOSTING FEE is an attempt at identity theft. I had a $12.50 charge, disputed it and MasterCard took the $12.50 off, but they also suggested that the credit card be canceled and a new one issued.

I agree!

I have had no contact with MONTH HOSTING and have no idea how they got my credit card and personal information, but THEY DID.

CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD AND GET A NEW ONE ISSUED, then watch your other credit cards for this same activity.

States that you won a Lincoln Navigator or the retail value, a $2500 cash incentive, a two-day trip, or a flat screen TV---don't go & don't believe it!   Nothing but a scam.  The 1-866-214-6082 is pre-recorded message from a prize coordinator named Bill. Bogus!

Actually, Mr. Russell is now using a different telephone number: 866-259-8425.  I think that cautious has nailed it as far as what Mr. Russell is up to.  Mr. Russell is a con using the winning of a Lincoln Navigator to lure customers.  His appointment setter is Christina Lee (at least on my call) who initiates the call.  She sounds so very young and innocent.

If Mr. Russell calls back, I'm not answering the phone.  I think there's been enough evidence here to report this as a scam.  I don't like the idea of someone entering me into a contest without my permission.  That's definitely fishy and it stinks.

This is February 25, 2010.  I just received a call from Nguyen Hoa at 773-629-8045.  She stated I am a prize winner of possibly a Lincoln Navigator.  I told her I have not entered any contests and inquired as to what contest she was referring to.  She stated that Mr. Russell can explain further as he is the prize director.  She gave me a toll-free number to call (1-866-214-6082).  Out of curiosity I dialed the number and got a voice mail stating Mr. Russell would call me back between 12 noon and l:00 p.m. the next day.  Without thinking, I left my name and number.  Then I immediately went on line to investigate.  Mr. Bill Russell is associated with Global Vacations in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  IT IS A SCAM.  I've been through this sort of experience before with Castaways.  They offer you a prize (which will probably not be the Lincoln Navigator) and in return you sit through a 90 minute conference of being pressured to sign up for a vacation club and pay high fees.  I believe that's what is about.  If anyone else knows anything, please let me know.

ok they did call me back this is a company called Global Vacations, they are celebrating their Grand opening in Ann Arbor, you have a go and sit in a 90 minutes or less brif discussion about their company , then afterwards, you will have to pick a scratch off ticket to claim your prize.  1 of 4 prizes will be given away , everyone walks away a winner, so I will either get 2009 Lincoln Nag, or $45,000.00 cash whichever I chose if won, $ a bahama vaca, $2500 cash, or a Sharp 32" LCD TV.  Pretty cool for an hour or so worth of listening
