keep receiving phone calls from 866 219 2430 ... if this is database issue then it needs to be cleaned up .. as a person working in IT Network .. this is unacceptable .. not sure if this is a phone company issue or not but looks like happens often and should be corrected.

I got this call yesterday, same message like all of you.  I called it back, it was rite-aid calling about an expired rx, did they want me to have them call my doctor for a new script.  It was automated.

This is  a call from RITE AID. I've  received these annoying  calls every day for the last week.

You need to call RITE AID corporate headquarters to have them remove your phone number from their system. Just calling your local Rite Aid store will not work.

Rec'd a computerized voice message from 866-219-2430. The computer voice said my name asking for me to "call the number that shows up on your display."

Didn't say the company name or why they were calling. Just said my name and asked me to call the number that shows up.

This is from Rite Aide (the pharmacy).  Automated call reminding about some prescriptions that might need refilling.

Message from Rite Aid where I have prescriptions filled. When I called the number they said I won a two day cruise to the Bahamas. They wanted my credit card number to pay for docking fees, I hung up. Nobody at my Rite Aid store knew anything about the free cruise.

It's Rite Aid's prescription reminder service. Not sure why they called me, as I never signed up for a prescription reminder service. I got an automated message. I called the number back and got ANOTHER automated message that responded to voice prompts. I had to go online to riteaid.com and go into a live chat with a Rite Aid Customer Service rep to have the calls stopped.

This is an automated call from Rite Aid to inform you that a perscription is ready. It can't say so directly for privacy concern reasons

Not a scam. Just a "courtesy" reminder.

It's Rite Aid. The computer will call you to remind of a refill.

Also if you've asked them to change your phone number, it will call the new number (sometime a week later) to attempt to verify the new number was entered into their system correctly.

Not a scam, although sometimes the computer gets a bit loopy. Which, humans can get loopy too.

It is a legitimate call from Rite Aid. I called them back and only had to verify my name, did not ask for any personal info. It listed a prescription I have, and I refilled it. It is not a scam.

I recieved this call from "Rite Aid" and they left a message on my answering machine.  I called it and was asked to verify my information, DOB.  I did not give that information and continue, I hung up because it did not feel right.

I called Rite Aid, they have a system to review the calls to see if you were called by their system.  The Pharmacist got back to me that day and said they had not called me.  I gave him the number and all the information.  He reported this and has a ticket created for the issue.  He was informed by the admins that they would not be asking for the DOB over the phone like that.

So if you get this call please report it.  If this is indeed a scam they are very convincing as I use Rite Aid.  I'm glad I was on gaurd with this call.

It is Rite Aid Rx refill service or "automated courtesy refill".  I think you can have your name and numbre removed from this service if you don't want it.  Personally I like it and use it every month!

Call the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and your State Police. When they call back, tell them that you are aware they are running an extortion ring, have notified the authorities and hang up.

Just got a voicemail from this # (866-219-2430).  When I called it back from the same # where I received the message, it automatically identified the number and asked me to confirm (with a simple yes or no) if "Jeff (my last name)" was the person on the phone.  I said "Yes" and it then reminded me that I had previously filled a prescription for a certain medicine (which I had) and that it was now available to be refilled.  If I wanted it could have the prescription refilled and ready for pick-up at my local Rite Aid today.  I said "No" and other than reminding me that it was the time of year when the CDC reminds us to get a flu shot (which a Rite Aid pharmacist could administer), that was pretty much it.
This is a long way of saying, it's a legitimate # from Rite Aid Prescription Refill Service and it never asked for any personal information other than to confirm that I was indeed the person it named.

This number is from rite aid, calling to remind you that either you need to refill your prescription, or that you need to speak with your doctor about ordering refills.
For those complaining about the calls, get over it...they're not being corporate a$$holes, some people (particularly older people) have a hard time remembering to get refills sometimes, so their system just automatically calls everyone who hasn't had their RX refilled.s

They left a message saying "Rite Aid Pharmacy" and asked for my husband by name. Computerized. No other message. Weird.

yes this is Rite Aid, its a automated recording asking you to call this toll free number back from the number it was called on, not sure why?  I do get my prescriptions from rite aid but there is no reason then should be calling me at this point.  I don't have anything to pick up from them.  I don't plan on calling back.

It is an automated call from Rite Aid Pharmacy to remind you that a regular Rx you have gotten there in the past is due for a refill.   RE: Irked from above, yeah, it's their business.  Pharmacies aren't McDonalds stores where you swing by and pick up your diabetes meds and some Plan B on the side.  Pharmacists are medical professionals, just like your MD.  This kind of call helps to keep patients compliant on medications they may otherwise forget to refill on time (that's life - it happens!).  If one of them has been discontinued, fine, don't refill it.

In regards to many of the posts above, yes, it is a poorly constructed system and badly needs to be updated.  In concept, it's a good idea, though.

Recorded voice left message on my office voice mail.  First part was cut off because it didn't wait for my outgoing message to finish before it started.  At the end it said "Thank you for using RiteAid".  Well, I'm in Vancouver, BC and as far as I know RiteAid Pharmacy doesn't exist in Canada, and I've never used them while visiting the US.

A computerized voice said it was rite aid, said my first and last name, asked me if this was correct.  After I said yes, it tried to ask me to give my birthday, which is when I hung up.
