No one can do anything about these schamers? what is FTC doing, eating taxpayers money and cant hunt them down? Everyone in America knows these are initiated from capital of scheme, Ghana. Can't they launch investigation. Chriss Hansen from Dateline NBC did some great job hunting down some!
I hope they get burned.

All 3 members under my T-mobile account received the text message scam, wanting us to call and enter all our card information. None of us bank with Grow Financial. I am also seeing ALOT of other T-mobile customers saying they've received the same msg.

received test message from this number at 10:30 pm on 5/29. Same thing--not a bank I do business with. Entered absolutly NO INFO. Will contact my REAL financial institution tomorrow--today is Memorial Day--to inform them of this whatever it is.

I contacted my credit union-Grow financial-by email to notify them of the text. We'll see what they say.
I don't like the fact that someone has my cell # that is associated with my bank even if they don't know my acct #. Where did they get my & my husband's cell # if not from the bank information!!??!!

I got this txt like 5 mins ago, I never had a " Financial Federal Credit Union debitcard ", and did I mention this is 2a.m.?
Joe 2011-06-06 21:03:51 Unknown
A valid call would NEVER ask for your information such as cc #, pin, security number etc. NEVER
Chris 2011-06-06 21:03:51 Unknown
I had the same experience as George above also with a Grow Acct. I did have a valid call about a week ago when I made a large purchase to verify the charge.
George 2011-06-06 21:03:51 Unknown
I don't know, but I called it and it's a phishing scheme. I got a text from this number, asking to call it back to verify a Grow Financial account. I called it and it asks to enter your credit card #, exp date, CVN and PIN. I, of course, entered bogus information.
Why can't the Feds shut these a*holes down??!?
