Female Voice leaves message on Answering Machine, claiming to be Wells Fargo Mortgage. .. She leaves a canned message asking me to "call back at that same Wells Fargo Number, blah, blah, blah!"

I have received a call ( a recorded message) from "Wells Fargo Home Mortgage" asking me to call. The call comes at the same time every day. I called back and a guy answered something like "hotline". I just hung up.

yea I got a call from the same # too - but nobody spoke, it was just blank!! sooo irritating..but the wellsfargo mortgage makes sense because I've got a loan with them and I just made a payment online
wierd

It's Wells Fargo Home Loan Department for sure. I have had a loan from them for about 5 years now. My payment isn't late untill the 16th, but every month they start calling 2-5 times a day around the 7th or 8th. And this is from someone who has never missed a payment.

Yup, it's Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They called me today to ask why I was late paying my mortgage. I'm not late.... never have been. They also asked me if my 'source of funds' was my paycheck. Isn't most peoples source of funds a paycheck? Sheesh.

I hate when I actually answer the phone and the stupid machine comes on. But even worse, it comes up as AACC, but it's Wells Fargo

The amount of calls is absolutely ridiculous, wehat can we do to stop it. I have heard that the "do not call" registry does not work for this. Also, getting calls from an 866-866405-8743 - also indenrifies themselves as calling for Wells Fargo
| Not Wells Fargo 2011-06-06 21:01:08 Unknown |
I receive the 866-228-3535 everyday sometime 3x a day. I have nothing to do with Wells Fargo(accts., Loans, ETC.) So I went to the Wells Fargo website and the number is not listed on their site. If you listen to the message it will not say what it is regarding. I also called the number back and it asked for my loan # or to type in my SS#. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! IF YOU HAVE WELLS FARGO ACCOUNTS GO TO THE WEBSITE GET THE NUMBER YOU NEED AND CALL THEM BACK.

it's a scam. as others have said here and elsewhere, do NOT give out any personal info on the phone or by mail or e-mail. if this were your bank, they'd already have the info and if there were any concerns, they'd ask you to come in to the nearest branch. this is a scam! plain and simple. i just got a call and i know it's a scam b/c the recording said for me to call wells fargo. i have no reason at all ever to call wells fargo b/c i do not and never have had an account of any kind with wells fargo. THIS IS A SCAM! warn your friends/family. DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFO OF ANY KIND!

The caller calls and does not identify themselves, but they want you to call them to provide personal information. This is how identity theft starts. So be carful.

I got a call today and yesterday at about the same time. No message left. I DID have a mortgage with Wells Fargo, but they foreclosed on me. They got my house, that I had had new wood floors put in downstairs, had a screened in patio put in, new overhead fans, etc. They got a better house than I had when I took out the mortgage. They have the house...I am now renting...but they still want to bother me. If and when they get too close to trying to make me pay for lawyer fees and whatever difference there is between what I owed and what they sell it for...I'll have to file bankrupcy. Five years ago I had very good credit...now I'm starting over again at the age of 70, with nothing except my car and personal effects. I do have a pension, for which I'm very glad. Trying to keep a good perspective and not let this overwhelm me.

A bank is basically a money dispensing industry. Not something that actually encourages physical effort. Once they have you "contracted", they resort to machinery (Automated Phone Equipment) to put pressure on you to return what they convinced you to borrow. Tut! Tut! If they would of made any real effort initially, a lot of people would not have to listen to their phone seeking their attention. The person who convinced you to act is actually now attempting to place others in your position.
