I am on the national "Do Not Call List" so how come I am getting unwanted calls?  Aren't these people supposed to be fined when they call you?

I get 3 or 4 calls from these poeple each day....morning, noon, and night.  I just called them back and it's Sprint.  A woman answered almost immediately and asked for my first and last name NO THANKS, that's all I need is for them to have more information on me.  I hung up.  I'm actually considering making that a habit, calling them and hanging up.

I have received several calls from 866-233-2773 and when the call was answered there was never anyone there.  I called the number back and it was answered by Sprint customer care who said the calls where coming from Capitol One and the Sprit number was being displayed; a situation that was suppose to be addressed within the next 24 hours so the Sprint number would no longer be displayed when the call was received.  I was given a number by Sprint (1-866-309-7619) to contact Capitol One; Capitol One had me on hold for so long I gave up.  I will try again next time I get a call.

This company is Sprint.  They are a pain in the butt.  I called the number and asked to be taken off their list; it hasn't done any good.  I would never buy a Sprint plan, just because of their lack of marketing skills and rudeness.

I've been getting calls from the this number 4-5 times a day and I JUST got my phone line, the only person I've given my number to is my mom! Are people getting them on your cell phones or just your home phones?

I'm also registered on "Do not Call List" and keep getting calls from this number. When one of my girls or my wife answer the phone the ask for a known male person and they say he is not here at the moment. When I answer ( male voice ) they don't say anything? Scamm? Crooks? Sexual Predator? Whom those MF's are?

Most of you probably have an account with Bank of America which seems to be there largest employer.  The national no call list does not work because lobbyist had a clause inserted  so that if you are doing buisiness with a company then that Co. can call you for more buisiness. Now they are farming out are numbers to the same telemarkets we were dealing with before but Bank of America (and others) are skimming a percentage of the profits. So in effect if we have a credit card thru one of these companies we are paying them to bother us at home.  As to no one being there when you pick up they are now using computers which call (hundreds?) of numbers at a time and the first ones answered are switched to a live telemarketer. Remaining numbers continue to ring and if you pick up it will be a dead line or you will be disconnected.
I for one am canceling my Visa thru Bank of America and am attempting to find a more ethical Credit card holder (is that an oxymoron?)

They'd been calling for about 2 months and sometimes they hang up and sometimes they ask for my husband (in English) but, when I tried to find out what it is about they hang up or sometimes they say that is a call from Bank of America y when I ask in regard of what they hang up once and again...I called to Bank of America to find out but they said they don't know anything about this and that they will call me back and let me know if they find out anything (?)...I try to call back to the same number and the automated answer is that I should call the 800 number that they provided me in the phone call but I haven't gotten as far in the conversation with them...I avoid to answer the phone because they are driving me crazy...If anyone has an idea about how to make them stop, please share it...

they are looking to sell insurance to wetbacks and illegal aliens.

they wont answer if you answer in english.

BTW, it is an insurance company, a subisidiary of Band Of America. Isnt that a laugh.

I have been receiving calls from this number everyday for about 1 month now. Everytime I answer the phone, no one ever says anything and hangs up. They call in the morning, after lunch, and late in the evening about 9 pm. I am getting extremely irritated and not sure what to do about it. I am not sure if these posts are helping at all....guess I'll find out.

I have gotten calls from these stupid people for over 2 months now. They call every- single- day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. I try to be courteous, and have a little phone etiquette but they have really gotten on my nerves. They are persistent, and stupid. I get a blank sound for about a minute after I answer, obviously a computer generated call, then they come on line and ask for my husband never introducing themselves. When I tell them he's unavailable, they hang up and the calls begin again the next day. If I don't answer the phone, they will continue to call 4-5 times a day and when the answering machine pickes up, they hang up.

I have gotten calls every afternoon for about a week. They hang up when I answer. If I let it go the machine the dial tone kicks in. In the SF Bay Area.

I get calls daily, when I answer no one is on the line.

I also have been getting calls from this Caller ID: 1-866-233-2773, with a hang up as I say Hello!...Also on a do not call list with an unlisted no.
What's up! Think I will call the Phone CO. and have it traced back if I get it again. Is this happening to males or just females, I question?

continuous calls- won't leave messages- won't tell me who they are

This number has called up to 8 times in one day- but as soon as we answer it they hang up! This has been happening for almost 3 weeks! Please help make it stop.

I have received this call at least 6 times a day for about a week now. I used to get them and they quit for a while now starting again.. very upsetting.TIRED OF IT..

I called this number back because it is ridiculous, we are getting about 5 calls a day even after telling them we are not interested. I don't know if it will help, but to put your name on their "do not call" list, the telephone number is 866-233-2776. I entered my number and it said to allow up to 30 days!!! Good grief, how long does it take to remove a number!! Anyway, don't know if it would help, but thought I would pass it along.

Please report these callers to FTC @ https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
Then contact your telephone provider & ask for *60 service - you can block them from calling you ever again!

You can also contact your local attorney General office or other government officials.

I wish we were able to do something about these callers who do not respect the do not call list.  These callers need to be stopped!
