This seems to be the business.  Anyone who is harassed by this company should do what I intend to do. Write a letter and send emails to them here  ssmorado@corporate-collections.com . Jack Grdina appears to be the CEO.

My mom has a cellphone I set up for her a year and a half ago.  She started receiving calls this month (March '08) from this number out of the blue.  She received about 25 calls in two weeks before she told me about them.  She had tried to call them and was either hung up on, or the people just talked and talked and talked but didn't tell her anything.  

I called 3/19/08, was hung up on twice before getting someone who would talk to me.  I gave them Mom's cell number, she asked me if it was the number for Josh somebody, I said no.  The number belonged to my mom.  I was told Mom wouldn't receive any more calls.  She had about 10 more calls over the 4 days.  

I called on Monday 3/24/08, was hung up on again.  Called back, asked to speak to a supervisor.  The supervisor told me that Mom's number wasn't in her system and tried to get my Mom's home phone number, (Which I refused to give her.)then suggested my Mom had her home number changed to a cell number.

I have no hope that she won't receive any more phone calls.  I wonder what kind of legal action can be taken.  Not because I'm into law suits, anything to make them stop the calls.

This number has called for 3 weeks now, anywhere from 5- 12 times a day! the only day i do not recieve calls, is on Sun. I have never answered the call but there should be limits on what people can do. I wish they would stop calling my cell phone for whoever they are looking for. Its such an horrible harrasment.

Update - Mom received another call since my last call to CCS.  I made another call to the company and spoke to yet another supervisor who told me he removed her number from the system and promptly hung up.  I wonder how he could remove what wasn't there yesterday?

This number called me twice today, once at 8:03am Pacific time and again at 1:42pm PT.  Neither of the messages left gave a name. They just said "press 1 now to be transferred to a customer service representative.  Otherwise, please call me back at your earliest convenience toll free at 866-247-4644" I am on the Do Not Call list.

They promised me for 3 days that they would remove my number yet here I am with 2 new voicemails from them. They used to call me nonstop 3 months ago too so I can tell you, it never stops.

I keep getting calls from this number...with the same voicemail as listed above.  I also am getting multiple calls from a Terry Sanford or a similar sounding last name which when I looked it up traces back to CCS as well. I have never been around when these calls have been received, always gotten the emails with the voicemail attached (I use a magicjack phone setup -- online VOIP phone).  I have NEVER missed any payments so if they're calling me for collections purposes then this is apparently some form of identity theft scam.  I would recommend doing more research on this Corporate Collection Services company and quite possibly file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I had another online company pull a similar stunt to this saying there were calling on behalf of Visa and were trying to get me to confirm a bunch of my personal information in order to get $200 in "free gas cards"...I filed a complain with the BBB after they started calling me 4-6+ times a day. They responded within a week or so and I haven't received a call since.

I started to receive phone calls from this collection company but they would have me on hold for several minutes and I would finally hang up.  They do this several times a day and will not stop.  They have been selling my address and phone number to other two bit companies.  They obtained my e-mail address and have been selling it also.

Like other I am receiving at least two calls a day from Walter Sheffield,  866-245-4644.  Have also tried to talk to the company and received the same rude action as others.  It has gotten so bad I leave my answering maching on all day and night.  Followed the advice of others and submitted a report through the FCC web site, https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do.  Don't know if it will do any good but it better than doing nothing.
