Received message on my cell phone and work number.  It's Wells Fargo Bank calling to verify that I wrote a check because it was out of sequence and for a very large amount.  My check numbers jumped from 5600 to 6001 since I reordered from another check company and didn't continue the sequence.

a Carol called saying they were from Wells Fargo Fraud Div. When I called it was an answering machine requesting me to leave my name ph#  and account number. I hung up immediately!

I got a call from this number with a different number to call back. 877-341-8536. I checked both numbers out and they looked ok so I called the number with my ref. number they left on the message. It was wells Fargo just verrifying a check. They just asked for my ref. number not any other info about my bank account so this number is safe in my opinion.
