I got a call from my credit card company and asking me if I had made a charge for 2.31 with rising star and 12.57 for some learning center. I have made neither of these and they shut my card down imediately. Seems as though the thieves are at it again and have hacked into the system. If you see Rising Star or RS learning on your statement, call your CC Compnay right away.

I also live in Illinois and I visited the address Chuckie talks about in Aurora. All I found was an old office building. I could find no record of anyone named Monica anywhere. This is not a seller a purchased from, his name was Chris Lerner. Not sure where this information was found but it's inaccurate. On my receipt the address was in Addison, IL. Can't recall the address specifically but I think it was on Lake St. I went ahead and looked at my banking records and found the charge on my credit card. It was billed as L Partners. Just as long as things continue to work smoothly with my current product, I will be purchasing from this seller again. I don't think this seller is selling fakes, the product I received had everything it should, including the Audio Companion sets. All looks authentic to me. The CDs I received are yellow in color, the application CD has a Install Shield setup file that is digitally signed. I have even been able to update my product online. Let's be sure we are talking about the correct seller before we trash the man's reputation here. I bought from a man named Christopher Lerner and I have no issues to report. He is with an online shop called Learning Partners I believe.

I don't think you folks are talking about the correct person. The Christopher Lerner I ordered Rosetta Stone products from uses Google Checkout. I bought French Level 1 with Audio Companion 2 months ago and I received it in a timely fashion. A seller using Google Checkout probably can't rip anyone off. I'm not an expert on these things but I can recall vividly that my online invoice for my purchase had a button on it that said dispute charges. I think by pressing that button is about all it would take to get my money back. I would have pressed that button if I sensed any funny business. The Christopher Lerner I purchased from also had a package tracking site. I'll see if I can find the address to it. The package tracking site helped keep me at ease during the ordering process. From what I can recall, the tracking site displayed shipments going back quite awhile, somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 months or so. It was impressive. Can anyone be more specific about this seller to make certain we are talking about the same person?

these people are a public company (adex media) OTC:adex - it is all a scam... they sucker you into the game and then charge you $80 until you cry foul... of course the owner made $5M in selling to these people... if only there was a way to file SEC charges against this company... or if VISA would get a clue and do something about it.

Please someone stop these people! I authorized a charge for shipping and handling for almost $5. I then noticed my card had ben charged $78. A few days later. It was for a cheap learning cd. The cd shouldn't have cost anything not even the $5 for shipping I didn't get a chance 2 look at it before it was time to send it back. I will say it was my fault for trusting a web site that preys on parents that are looking for learning tools. I just wished I would have caught it sooner. I would have stopped payment on the charge.

I noticed that someone else posted about RSLearning@inbox.com with a Christopher Lerner advertising used Rosetta Stone software on Craigslist. I purchased the Spanish I & II via my credit card and will dispute it with them. I can no longer find the website and Mr. Lerner does not answer my emails. I just emailed Craigslist so we will see what happens. Any one else have an issue with this guy?

I WAS JUST VICTIMIZED BY THE SAME COMPANY.  WHEN I CALLED THE NUMBER TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES, THEY ASKED ME IF I'D LIKE TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT WITH THEM AND I REPLIED YES.  THEY THEN SAID THE ACCOUNT WAS CANCELED WITHOUT ASKING FOR ANY OF MY INFO INCLUDING MY NAME.  I THEN BEGAN TO RAISE MY DISPUTE TO ANOTHER TONE AND THE OPERATOR JUMPED OUT OF CHARACTER AND EXPOSED THE FACT THAT HE WASN'T A PROFESSIONAL.  IT WAS VERY OBVIOUS IT WAS A SCAM CENTER.  I THEN NOTIFIED MY BANK AND THEY CANCELED MY CREDIT CARD AS WELL AS SENT ME A FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AFFADAVIT TO SUBMIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT.  SOMEBODY HAS TO STOP THESE CROOKS.  THEY'RE GETTING AWAY WITH THEFT BY BEATING THE SYSTEM AND I CLEARLY SEE HOW THEY ARE DOING IT.

Same as above, reported them to BBB and the Federal Trade commission (1-877-382-4357).  If they get enough complaints they (FTC) will take action.  The BBB said they had quite a few complaints on file, but they have no enforcement authority.  But they also send this kind of stuff to the FTC.  I also called the colorado attorney generals office (consumer affairs) and left a complaints there as well.

I have unauthorized credit card charges from ONGenius ( or over night genius) and Grant Search, to name just two! These were the biggest scammers. I have reported it to the BBB, had to have my card replaced, made numerous phone calls, and filled out too many forms to mention! I'm still waiting for some resolution to this! These people are thieves. Report them!

My parents received a phone call regarding my credit card. It was an automated message and it stated that there was suspicious activity on my card and recommended that I call them at 1-800-327-8622. My mom called me and warned me about it and gave me the actual 800 number of the bank I use. I called them and my bank stated that no one from their fraud department called my parents' home.

I checked my account and there are some charged I did not make, including a charge for $2.27 from ONGENIUS and one for $2.56 from OVRNITEGN along with two larger charges to different places. I closed down my card immediately and will be filing for fraud with my bank.

Did not get a phone call from them. I have a small debit card withdrawal. I will complain everywhere I can to help some other soul out there from getting ripped off. I do get my statements online so fortunately I caught this one just 20 minutes ago (2:40 am). I will be calling on my friend at the credit union (before the doors open) to get a jump start on this. This is ridiculous! You can't make a dollar without someone trying to rip off a quarter.

I just sent an e-mail to a craigslist account that advertised Rosetta Stone Spanish levels I and II. I got an e-mail back asking for verification of my address from a guy named Christopher Lerner at an address called rslearning@inbox.com. I suppose it might not be the same rslearning, and there's probably loads of Christopher Lerners out there, but I figured I'd post this in case they're related. I was planning on paying cash, anyway, but I'll be doubly careful to not give out my card number.

These people charged me a fortune on my credit card. It's my fault for not checking. However, I have absolutely no idea who they are or why they're charging me. I called this number today but unfortunately it is Saturday and naturally they are not there until Monday.

They haven't called me. But when I Googled RISING STAR and the number that appears on my credit card, this site came up.

They didn't use rising star on mine, it is ovrnitegn and they ripped me off for over $160. They offered a free sample disk through mypoints.com and then said I authorized purchase of their program. My credit card has been closed and I will file a fraudulent charge claim. Hope it works.z

I have two debit withdrawals-one from Rising Star for $2.31 and the other from RSLearning 16-V 866441 for $2.56. I will notify the credit union-my suspicions are that a often used nail manicure chain called Nails 4 You may be involved. The Credit Union notified me that there was a high fraud alert out on this company.

I got debited twice, July 6th for $2.56/GeniusOn and on July 8th $2.27 Overnight Genius. I got something in the mail on July 5th.  I noticed it on Monday July 7th.  I called that company they said they got my info from a third party for point.  I told the guy Rob I didn't order anything he told me to send it back with the RAM number. I am glad I went to my bank on Monday to cancel my debit card. So hopefully these are the only charges I will get. I think they got my information from Intelius a company who does public records search.   This is so wrong!
