The phone call is legit (albeit high pressure at times). It is Dunn & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. From Wikipedia on D&B:
"In August 2010, D&B spun off and sold their credit monitoring and management business to a newly formed company, Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp.[6] The company previously spun off Moody's,[7] Nielsen,[7] and Cognizant Technology Solutions (1996). Dun & Bradstreet also owns the business research corporation Hoover's."

We are a DBCC customer, in order to monitor our credit. I do not like dealing with them and try to do so as little as possible, but it is part of the landscape of doing business.

I received a call from someone saying they represent Dunn and Bradstreet.  866-257-4284 with the ex.: 0051.

Just got the same phone call, first thought was this is a scam. I may call back to just mess with someone.

PLEASE note: dnb.com is the legitimate Dun & Bradstreet (D&B).  dandb.com IS NOT.  They call themselves Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp - and they make you think they are the real D&B.  Don't answer their calls.  And if they email you, don't say YES if they ask for a receip.

We are receiving these calls from 866 257-4284.  Annoying.

I have received both an Email and Phone call stating the there has been activity on our business.  The email stated there was a "complaint" against us.  The phone message stated there was "activity" on our business "xyz" and listed the business Duns #.  We have NEVER applied for a Duns #.    I would not respond to emails or phone calls from them.

I have received these messages also.  I don't believe it is Dun & Bradstreet.  He said quickly (so i'm not completely sure) dun & bradstreet credibility corp.  We don't belong to Dun & Bradstreet and they gave me my "account number'.  Not returning the call - they do make it sound really serious!!  Thanks for the info.

I got several calls from 866-257-4284.  The person said they were with Dun and Bradstreet.  At first I thought it was legit but did my research and found out it was a SCAM.  I eventually had to get on the do not call list and notify the scammers that I had reported them to the FTC.  After that they FINALLY stopped calling me. Beware.

My neighbor got a call from this number with a reference number.  My name and his business name and his cell number.  You cannot get through to them by phone to clear it up.  Glad to see it is a SCAM.  Will not bother with them again.

We keep getting these phone calls from this number.  866-257-4284, ext. 3217.  We have not responded for months now.  There is no reason for us to be in touch with Dun & Bradstreet and NO REASON FOR THEM TO BE IN TOUCH WITH US!!  These calls are very annoying!  

I can tell it is coming from a call center, because I can hear many many other telephone conversations going on in the background.

PLEASE TAKE US OFF YOUR CALL LIST AND QUIT CALLING US.  YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN ANY INFORMATION ABOUT OUR COMPANY!

That what they call themselves, but the calls are a SCAM. Be carefull. Look up all the complaints about this company on the internet,

We received a call and voice message from an account representative at Dun & Bradstreet, which is a legitimate organization. This number 866-257-4284 is the number the rep left on the message.
