Got a call today from 888-852-0568. Answered. was told that I need to pay 249.00 up front I thought that was fishy. So i said that my credit card was at home. And dismissed myself to recieve their call later today. i left my phone on and didn't hang up. only to hear the person I spoke with making fun of me with one of his associates" Who leaves their wallet at home!!!  Who actually drives around all day with no wallet"this went on for a couple of minutes. he came back to the phone "Hello, Hello" stayed there for a while, as  I just snapped my fingers on the phone and stayed quiet. hung up.  No serious company would make fun like this of their potential clients. Along with everything else on this site I am convinced it's a scam! thank you all!!

Thanks for the information.  I received the same letter excited at first, then looking at it with no company name, no web address, no signature name, and no return address, excitement turned to frustration, it makes me wonder how much personal information they have.  I could never get through, the 800# but  I know they'll ask for money, and I wanted to give them a  piece of my mind.   Guess that's not needed, I'm better than that. Thanks for posting your inquires.

Re. "why couldn't they do the investigation and if they found there was refund needed deduct their fees from the refund," they really need your account info to charge you for the $49.95/month 30to8 Debt Software (wholly unrelated to the audit) that you will be enrolled in, possibly behind your back, when you buy the audit. Even if they find nothing wrong with your mortgage and you get the audit money back, they will still charge you $49.95/month for the software that you are enrolled in -- this is the real reason why they demand your account info up front. Also, the audit refund is a lie. It's actually a rebate, not a refund, so you have to find the rebate form on their website, print it, fill it out and mail it back within 45 days to get the rebate and who knows how man of them will be "lost" in transit.

Their BBB rating http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/loan ... ork-ut-22302183 is presently an A- but they forgot to tell you that:
1. AMT Auditing Services LLC is a DBA even though they use "LLC" in their registered company name https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=7968758-0151  See that "Company Type: DBA" in the second line?
2. They are illegally using the Wells Fargo logo on their websites and that Wells Fargo has told the BBB "Wells Fargo has no affiliation with this company. In addition, this company is not allowed to use the Wells Fargo logo without our express permission. Doing so is a violation of our intellectual property rights." I believe there are another 5 bank logos displayed on AMT websites -- does AMT have permission to use those logos?
3. The BBB says that AMT Manager "Colton Moody is also listed as a principal of The Summit Group of Utah LLC" http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-reviews/trai ... ehi-ut-13002802 that has a F rating with 1 settled and 1 pending Government Action (too long to paste here, go read it on the BBB listing) and 135 closed complaints. TSGOULLC's business license is registered to Colton Moody as well https://secure.utah.gov/bes/action/details?entity=5394161-0160  If you google around, you'll find lots of complaints on people paying several $thousands up front to TSGOULLC and its DBAs for coaching seminars on how to set up web businesses and TSGOULLC allegedly failing to deliver the training.

The FDIC is the federal agency that insures our deposits up to $250,000/account in member banks. It has *NOTHING* to do with mortgage audits offered by a private company (an unlicensed fake company in this case) and probably inserted into their scam letters for a veneer of respectability.

Agree, I just hung up calling the #888-659-2077. The guy seemed like professional and knows some of my mortgage inf, but I am sure they are the people steal people's $. He wanted me pay $249 in front and said 70% of the chance I will get $3k to 7k refund, and if I get no refund, he will return my $249. Sounds like reasonable, but I am sure my $249 will be gone forever. Shoud let more people know that.

Got a letter from AMT. They had all of my info as far as loan amount and closing date. Used all the fancy words etc like FDIC, reference case# and expiration of the offer. No return mailing address which is the first clue and no web site. Guaranteed to be a SCAM!

I got this letter with a different # 888-721-0371 and I took the time and actually called, knowing the whole time it was a scam.  I was curious to find out what they told me.  All they would tell me is it cost $199.00 risk free and I would get my money back if I didn't get a refund over $50.00.  They also said their BBB rating was an 8.  I don't know many companies who make a point of telling you what their BBB rating is.  I also don't know many companies who let me handle my husbands affairs without asking questions.  All of it sounds a little fishy to me.

You can try reporting it to the FTC https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ but it'll probably do no good. They get away with it because the products they sell are white elephants https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/White_elephant that their prospective victims won't recognize as white elephants until it's too late and the scam is structured to deny $refunds. Since victims receive products that work and aren't defective (though victims have spent a lot of $money), the FTC won't step in.
