Annoying phone calls with no one on line when picked up.

Similar to Ashley's experience, hangup call to my cell number.  Google tells me that this number belonged, in 2004, to "ArKion Systems Advanced Water Management Solutions, 230 Union Street, New Bedford, MA 02740".

They called me twice today. I didn't answer either time, but they didn't leave a voicemail or anything.

I got a call from this number today.

They've been calling me for several days. If a weird number doesn't leave me a voicemail, I don't return the call or answer it the next time. I've been hearing about some scam on our local news that if you answer some number that calls, it's linked to a direct billing service. I don't know exactly how it works, but either way... I wouldn't answer it.

I called the number back... got music no ringing but when someone actually answered i asked who it was they said they are education consultants.

I got a call today they left no mssg.

Got a call from 866 275 4661 but I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize it and I was in class. Nothing on Google helps.

I recently sent apps for online scholarships. Did you do the same? That might be who they are if you say they said they were education consultants

I think Em and Amber onto something.  I, too, have received several calls from this number on my cell and did not pick-up since I did not recognize the number.  When I called the number, there was music playing in the background- I didn't have time to sit and listen further.  However, I also recently signed up for some type of online scholarship contest (which unfortunately did require your phone number). At the time, I thought twice about it, but figured oh well, what the hell.  If I win the 10,000, guess i still wouldn't care :)  But I'm guessing that is unlikely.  Anyhow, I think this is what it is.  If I were able to get a person, I would have asked them not to call me further.  Perhaps next time I will just answer and ask them to remove me from their list.
