Calls do not stop coming. Everyday one or two times and we do not answer. Will try to contact the FCC to check into this atrocity.

I want this friggin, incessant, annoying, life-interrupting call to cease immediately!  I also called the supposed "do not call" number.  What good is it???? Will try again.

I just called the privacy line to opt out of everything and will be anxious to see if it works.  I received two calls already today from the 6227 number and it isn't even noon yet!

Just tell them if they call again, you will cancel the card.

Calls and leaves no message.

calling several times a day.  I answered one night and a woman got on very excited that I answered.  I told her not to call me that late any more (it was about 8:40 - relaxing time!)  But they keep calling during the day. I did activate a card about two weeks ago.  They were supposed to send me a web link (didn't) and I told them I didn't want the protection plan.  I am going to log into their website and tell them to stop calling or I'm going to close out the card.

These creeps call several times a day...do not answer, have no idea who they are, I am on the do not call list, this list is worthless.

Call 2 or 3 times a day for the last several months.  No one there if I answer. What a pain these people are!

After many calls when I answer and there's no one there, I finally decided to wait until someone came to the line to speak to me.

In perfect ebonics, a sub-Neaderthal cretin tried to enroll me in a negative option plan by telling me that I could cancel my enrollment within 30 days and owe nothing.  I must have screwed up her recorded authorization by stating over and over that I would let them know if I wanted the offer and I did not want to have to cancel the offer by allowing her to enroll me.  This moron couldn't find a script option to cover what I was saying, so she finally cut me off.

Obviously the folks at Discover have selected the ultra-low cost option provider to try to sell their insurance-like service.  I am amazed that the person I spoke with is actually able to breathe without help.

I did call the 866-290-6277 and after a brief hold was connected to a service person. They seemed fine with taking me off their list, we'll see how that works out.

I am on the national do not call list but my wife has a discover card so they're exempt from do not call because of an ongoing business relationship.

They did request my name and address which I gve them once they mentioned my wife's name in conjunction with the phone number. They seemed professional.

866-290-6227 keeps calling here.  We do not answer.  Getting very tired of it. Would love to get rid of them. Too many calls at all times of day. We've been through this with Discover before. We will remember this when choosing which cc card to use.

I keep getting these annoying calls about 8 times a day, weekends included. I ,am a retired person & debt free.I do have ANY CREDIT CARDS or LOANS!for the past 8 years. How do you stop this s**t? There is absolutely no reason for a debt collection agency to be calling!

Discover has been calling from this number 20 to 30 times a day - when I answer the phone - no one is there - and when I don't answer - they don't leave a message

Calling more than twice / day and leave no message; very annoying!

I already called Discover Card's privacy line number in an attempt to have my phone number removed from their listing.  The annoying calls have restarted once again -- I thought after my phone call to them late last year would stop the third-party phone calls -- I guess not; however, I will call the 1-800 number again!

Got a call just now... didn't answer, and no msg left.

I receive frequent calls from this number. My Bang & Olufsen answering machine lets me block certain numbers (the machine intercepts the call and plays a busy signal to the caller), but still the calls keep coming. I've had a Discover Card since 1993 and I seldom use it. I'm reluctant to cancel the card because longevity factors into one's credit score, but this is absurd. I'll try the opt-out number listed above.

I am on the New York State do not call program and should not be receiving these calls every day.

They call me too, repeatly! I tell them I am not interested and they keep calling.

866-290-6227 keeps calling numerous times each day, for the past week, and never leaves a message.  Turns out to be telemarketers, working for Discover Card.

This number has been calling me 5-6 times a day. It is obnoxious!

Numerous calls every day from this number, and they never leave a message. I just called the Opt-Out number; hope it works. You'll need last 4 digits of your Discover card, last 4 digits of your SS#, and billing ZIP code to do it.

The menu is so fast that you won't have time to look any of this up, plus you need to push the buttons really fast.

btw, when I first called the number, a recording asked for my credit card number first. I hung up ASAP.

I would be very surprised if this is Discover or any other credit card company. The caller may be posing as a credit card company but probably phishing for information, or trying to sell credit card insurance. What is strange is that even if you answer the phone there is often no one there. It's almost as though they are getting paid by the number of calls (connections) they make. I put a block on their number but they have tried to call me 10 times within a two hour period.

I have been reciving thi scall and teh message said we are calling regarding a very imprttnatpersonal matter. Then they give us a file number to use when we call back.I decided to research the number fisrt and found this site. I iwl not return their call.

Discover Card wanting to sign me up for payment protection/insurance.

I receive at least 2-3 phones from this number each day.  It is driving me nuts.  I dont answer it because I dont know who it is.  I let it go to my answering machine but when it picks up there is about 15 seconds of no noise and then hangs up.

I keeping receiving several calls a week from "Discover Card". I notified them six weeks ago to take me off their list. Needless to say the calls have started again. I called today, and had to go through hoops to get them to finally say they would remove me. That after giving every excuse why I'm on the list. I told them I have a private number and it better stop right now, or else! I have just about every other CC, but will not use Discover Card, period.

Get calls from this number regularly.  We never answer.

This number came up on my phone and I did not answer it. The number came up on my caller ID so I didn't dial any numbers, i just hit the call back button on my phone. A man answered and said it was his private number and he said very rudely that he did not call my number and that my phone dialed it wrong, but it didn't.
