Complaining on a board like this (and scambusters, where I originally posted this) is great if someone does decide to do their homework prior to working with a business. But attractive promises and easy qualifying sometimes clouds our logic a bit. So what happens is, people come here after it is too late, doing their 20/20 hindsight research and finding out that they are one of many victims. If you are a victim (or if you figured out their scam and stopped them cold) and want to truly keep anyone else from becoming a victim, they need to be stopped, not talked about. That means they have to be reported to all authorities. Someone knows where they are. They may not be a victim right now or they may be and just not know it, but they are aware of these people's whereabouts. There is a way to confidentially report them. Even on this page it is confidential. Ignore the "I know who you are" comments. That's a bully tactic. Goes hand in hand with their tactics on the phone too. I am using a private account that they cannot hack or trace, so don't worry about some IP chaser telling them where you are. If you email me with your story, I will provide you with all of the links that you need in order to report these people on the state and federal levels. These entities do require your name but will keep your information secure. I will also share some other information that you might find helpful in your reporting and also in pursuing any relief options that might present themselves to you including securing a restraining order in case someone wants to go all mafia/gangsta on you. I will not charge you for any of my help. You don't even have to tell me your real name. If you are one of the persons being accused, you can email me, however, you will not stop me from sharing the resources that I have. Also I will not share any data as to who contacts me.

They are still at it. Received a call this morning asking me to call Mr. Russell about claiming my prize, indicating it would be either a Ford Explorer, $25,000, a vacation, or a flat screen TV. Glad I checked this site. They are now using a different name. Sounded like Prize Services. When I called back, they wanted to have my husband and I go to a 90 minute Time Share presentation and then claim our prize in Branson, MISSOURI.

Another scam artist.

Another phone number to add to the list of Vandell Communications. In the past 2 days I have received 5 calls from Vandell and the caller id shows  708-898-1269. I have not answered any of the call 's and after reading all these comments I  am glad I didnt answer.No message was left on my machine. My friend  has also got several of the same calls.We are in Tn.

Received a call from Vandell Comm Group this evening. 708-933-0039 is the number on my caller ID. I said hello and the calling party said they had the wrong number, apologized then hung up.

Same problem, Same name, same extension..

Said I had one of the 4 major prizes in an Automobile drawing I supposidly entered in the last 18 months....
Also said he had been trying repetedly to reach me...
The phone, machine and computer have been working fine...

Same story as everyone else.  Received phone call today...call back number was 866-312-9553 x 243 for John.  Caller id identifies number as 708-898-0769.

Has anyone actually gone to their presentation?  If so, what "prizes" were actually given out?  We also have been getting many calls from Vandell Comm.

And another one! I think there are enough posts regarding this company that there is no need for me to parrot what everyone else is saying.

Vandell Communications needs lessons in communication!  They were extremely unpleasant when I contacted them regarding being unable to find the location.  We had a long drive to the location and contacted them to let them know.  When we got home after  not being able to find the location they THEN informed us we had to have the contact letter.  

When I informed Vandell that we could not recieve (computer issues) the letter, nor did we know prior to leaving the house they then proceeded to tell us they had informed us with is simply a lie.

I just have that call an hour ago, all the same. They are suppose to call me back next Tuesday for the presentation info and location... Let see if they call back and what happens.. will continue ...

Have had call from Vandell Com Grp 708-548-7155 from Christopher and from Mitchell Communications 773-358-1470 to call 866-312-9553 ext 109 and 133 to receive our prize, have not talked directly with yet.

Got the same call as the others but from Rhonda.  States I have won 1 of 4 prizes but to call back on Monday for the details.  Caller ID indicates Mitchell Communications.  708-933-0039.  Don't think I will be returning their call.  Never enter in things like that

I got a message that said I had entered a contest several weeks age and that I had won one of the grand prizes. He identified himself as Christopher from Vandell communications.  He said that this was his final attempt to contact me.  I called 866-312-9553 ext.243 as directed and got Michelle's voice mail that stated she was away from her desk but that someone would get right back to me.

Same as many others have reported...... I received a message on my answering machine from Christopher at Vandell Communications indicating I had entered a contest of some kind (which I didn't) and had won (yea right). a prize.  

The FTC needs to do something.  These jerks continue to get away with this (*&^%.  We need stiff penalties for these idiots.

It is a Sunday night here and there was a message on my recorder.
It does not specify anyone by name in this household as to whom the message addresses.
If this caller actually knows who he called, Mr./Mrs xxx. would  be a proper introduction.

I've made numerous attempts to reach you regarding an entry form that was filled out in your name
in the last 12-18 months to win a new car. This will be my final attempt to notify you
that your name was pulled as a winner and we are going to award you one of our top
four major prizes.It will be in your best interest to give me a call back as soon
as possible. My number is toll free at 1-866-312-9553, ext. 243. We're not a
telemarketing agency or timeshare; this is not a cold call so please do not ignore
this message. I am very aware of the do not call list so I wouldn't be calling
unless you actually entered. This is a time sensitive matter, I do look forward
to hearing from you. Once again, congratulations my name is Sean.

I have no idea what the call is about and from reading the many posts here, it is unclear if any of you do either.

My thought is not so much SCAMMER as it is CREEPS.
The reason for this follows.

A company that calls itself "ACME" has been harrassing us with a "Automated" call for about a year even though they have been told a half dozen times "not to call here." (They called yesterday at noon)
I have taken the time to speak with them and Acme has been told that the person they seek is not known to anyone here.
(btw Acme is a collection company)
I suspect that they  have switched tactics.
I once was a bill collector here and I am familiar with the lies and illegal practices they frequently use.
They do not tell you their real names, and anyone in the office is passed off as the "Manager."

Tactic: Bait em in with a "PRIZE" and then that person reveals who they are.
If he/she is the one who is being sought, he/she might reveal any assets they may possess or where they work or bank.

got a call from them myself same speil just her name was michelle and she knows about the no call list so wouldnt be calling if it was a scam... lol did call back and got to her actual extension but left no message I am on the no call list so they are really brave... What is the scam has anyone actually gotten a person????

I've received several messages from Christopher asking me to call 866-312-9553 ext 109, got another one today so he is still in business.  Caller ID said it was from Vandell Com Grp and # listed was 708-248-7174.  Hope this helps track them down.

Got the same message as everyone else, except it was from Michelle.  "you are the winner of a prize, we've tried to call you several times, blah, blah, blah".

Hey, got the same message as has been posted about winning a new car, etc. Subjects name was Christopher, received it at 1010 hours on March 3rd. He used an extension of 109, this time, tho. Appreciate all of your earlier comments, everyone. Many thanks!

Just got the same call from Christopher at 866-312-9553 ext 109.  Called the number and got a recording with a womans voice.  Think maybe Christopher is a recording?  Hmmm.

Found out 866-312-9553 is not a valid number?  What did we call?

I got the same call as everyone else, from Christopher at the Vandel Corporation. He called at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning on my unlisted Do Not Call number, saying I had entered a contest 12-18 months ago and I had won one of 4 prizes. I got another message this evening. This company needs to down!

thanks for all the good reading about this scam / usualy i found out its a collection agency trying to contacct you by scaming this phone call telling you , that you won something// its happened to me

The bast-ards called us as well, VanDell Communications so they say. We had been looking for a new car in last 12 months, go figure- they said we had filled out an online application for car information, well we did. The SOB's had all of out info!!  There has to be way we can blast these "low lifes". I'm certain they are just trying to make a living, but there is certainly a place for them, 6ft under!!! I've sent their scam artist bu***hit name to the FBI.gov website so some one of higher authortity can burn their a**es. I'm sick of these SOB's and just wish I could post by there hideout and make an example out of the pieces of s**t! SHUT THEM DOWN BEFORE THEY TAKE SOMEONE FOR A RIDE..
