Just an FYI... they are now calling and the caller id shows up as only 9 numbers starting with my area code. (phone numbers have 10 digits) so it is impossible to call back. And Verizon Wireless can't block using the SPAM controls  because they require a 10 digit  number. I had to download MR Number to block these calls. They call 10 - 20 times a day... many times after 9pm.

The BB has issued a warning of this Grocery Card $1000 free scam.

This lady keep calling my number. I told her not to call any more. She continue to call and then hang up. Is there anything that I can do about this harassment? They call all the time, I am sick of it. Help me!!!!!

I'm pretty sure it's the same company calling me too.. but for some reason, the numbers come through as missing 1 digit for some reason, and they're never the same. So I can't just add them to my contacts on my cell phone, and send it directly to voice mail. They keep calling me on my CELL, so I answered twice today, and told them this is my cell phone, and my # is on the do not call list. Both callers (one male, one female) hung up on me. I filed a complaint on www.donotcall.gov - they will get law enforcement involved if needed.

They DID verify that they were with Grocery Savings Direct though.

Here are some of the #'s on my caller ID (I'm in AZ, so they're an AZ area code):  480-152-142, 480152-329, 480-152-342, 480-160-013, 480-222-331, 480-222-348.. and so on. They obviously have some sort of machine that just rolls the numbers as they dial, changing it every time, and also leaving a digit off. VERY frustrating! PLEASE report them!

Yeah this lady started calling me at  5pm last  night(aka 7-12). answered the first one, but the lady couldn't say my name correctly.  Which is how I know it's a telemarketer. I Then hung up on her she proceeded to call me back every half hour after that. I just put my phone on viberate  She better not start calling me today....

I have getting calls also at least four last night and one today.  They never leave a message.
They have may have called me more, but I would not know unless my tv is on and the calling number flashes on the screen.
I agree this is harassment whether I answer them or not.
I did originally act interested in the coupon for groceries, but when they wanted credit card information I changed my mind.

We too have been getting these calls.  There were 12 calls today showing up from either 866-318-5148 or as "unknown" on caller ID.  Calls have been intermittent since last week.  Calls happened anywhere from 8 am through 9:30 every day.  Assuming it is coming from same source. Caller will hang up if call is answered, or a few times a female voice said "goodbye" in a very disturbing tone of voice (makes you wonder if someone is going to show up at the door with a gun, not a nice feeling).  Just one call the person actually asked for a name. Thanks to Andie for posting the name of the offending company.  This kind of harrassment needs to stop.  Below is some info found with the help of the Federal Trade Commission's website, hope this will help.  Let's all get our complaints in!

Know the law and your rights.  If you get a call and a live person tell them you do not want any more calls and hang up. If they continue to all they are in violation of the law.  If they call at hours before or after 8:00 am to 9:00 pm they are in violation of of the law.  If they call and you have been on the National Do Not Call list for 31 days, they are in violation of the law.  Suggested steps to take:

1.  Tell the caller you do not want any more calls.  Do not say anything on any further calls
2. If they keep calling, detail times, what shows up on caller ID and what happens with the call
3. Report to your local phone company and your state Attorney General's office
4. File a report with the Federal Trade Commission online at www.ftc.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP

The Federal Trade Commission cannot resolve individual consumer complaints, but it does log all complaints and this could contribute to the initiation of a lawsuit by the FTC against the offending company if enough people complain.

calling 6 to 8 times a day.

Someone from this number keeps calling me, I say hello twice and then the lady recording says goodbye.  How can I get them to stop calling me?

It appears that with my situation with this unwelcome telemarketer/scam phone number, I'm getting 3 other ph. #s appearing on my caller ID that is intentionally leaving out 1 digit of their return phone #'s so unable to trace or call back: 206072346, 206090028 and 206072315.  I'm speculating about this, but I'm sure they're related to the 866-318-5148 as I started getting these calls all at the same time, never leave a message and when I have answered, dead air, then they hang up and start calling all over again a half an hour later......per someones suggestion, logged onto the web-site FTC.GOV "Do Not Call" list and registered to have all telemarketers stop calling.  I understand it takes 30 days to take effect.....oh man, hope I can survive this incredible invasion of privacy 'til then..........

non stop calling my phone! pisses me off

I was called at least seven times from this "company" (unknown to me) and usually missed the call as they hung up after two rings.  On the 27th of May they called three times and I answered on the third.  I could barely hear the woman because of static.  She offered me $2000.00 in coupons that could be used at any grocery store I shopped at.  This offer followed a very short survey of about four questions:  Did I spend $100 a week or more on food, Did I purchase the store brand of food, and Did I buy sale items.  Then she went on about how people were all having a difficult time balancing their budgets, etc.  She verified my mailing address, which she somehow had correct.  And, then the shoe fell!  She said it would cost me $3.00!  Next, she asked what credit card I would use.  I said I wouldn't give out my number on the phone.  And she continued telling me how "safe" phone ordering was, etc., etc.  I kept saying I would not do it, and she would not stop talking, so I just told her "NO" and said I was going to hang up which I did.  Isn't this illegal??

This is from a company claiming to send you a $1000 coupon for groceries if you'll give them your credit card number and pay shipping. My mother in law (84 years) has already told them we're not interested. Tonight they called for my deceased father in law (at 9:30 pm which is illegal) and my husband said, politely, that he is no longer with us. Same rep (female) called back 15 minutes later and said "(FIL's name)?" my husband was not so nice that time. Then she called back a THIRD time and I answered. This call was strictly to insult my husband and call him names. I told her to stop harassing us. Then I *69 for the number and called back. What do ya know? Same rep answered. I asked if this was the rep calling for my father in law because I would like to file a formal complaint. She hung up on me. I filed a complaint online with the FCC.

They called me every hour and today it's like every 30 mn but when I answer the phone no one in the other line so I contact a law firm today. I will sue them.

My elderly mother received threatening phone calls and she star 69'd and received the 866-318-5148 then called me.  I contacted the company and complained about the young woman working for them, who was threatening my mother.  The company didn't do anything because early the next morning it began all over again.  I contacted our local FBI and lodged a complaint, I was also advised by the agent that the more complaints that are filed the easier it will be to close them down.  Please call your local FBI and lodge a complaint.

My elderly mother received calls with a young female threatening to kill her, when mom star 69'd the call it came back to this number.  She then called and told me what was going on and I called the number which was answered with Grocery Savings DIrect.  I asked for a super and got some guy who I told what was going on and told them if it didn't stop I would lodge a complaint with the FCC.  So morning came and the calls to my elderly mom continued, so I contacted the Florida FCC, which is where the company is supposedly located, as well as the FBI.  I was told that a complaint would be filed and they would do their best to shut down this company.  ANYONE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY PLEASE CALL YOUR LOCAL FBI AND LODGE A COMPLAINT, EVERY COMPLAINT WILL HELP TO GET THIS COMPANY'S DOORS CLOSED FOR GOOD!

they have been calling me non stop! even when i am rude and tell them to stop calling me, they still continue to call! this has been going on for days and each day they seem to call more and more within minutes of each other. a couple times it even made it to voicemail when i am in class and its silent and then they hang up! im not picking the phone up to this number again, stupid indian telemarketers trying to get money from people and then straight harassing them. DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. its like a game and they wont stop its a SCAM.

Christina called to offer a food voucher totaling $1000 if I paid S&H. Said I had to call and check them out. Called Fry's and they were unaware of this "deal".

THESE A**HOLES CALLED TODAY AT MY MOTHERS HOUSE. AND OF COURSE SHE WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO GIVE THEM HER DEBIT CARD NUMBER AND EVERYTHING. ME AND HER GOT INTO IT OVER THIS TOO. NOW THEY ARE PROBABLY EMPTYING OUT HER ACCOUNT. AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS TO HER I AM ONLY GOING TO TELL HER I TOLD YOU SO. I KNOW ONE THING I HAD BETTER NOT FIND OUT WHERE THEY ARE AT.

866-318-5148 calls all day long.  Tonight they called at 9:14 pm PST and so I answered.  The guy asked for my mother.  I said, "Do you realise it is after 9 pm."  He hung up.
Other calls have been rude especially after we told them we were not interested.  The first time we said it the would call and hang up as soon as we answered.  They kept this up for 2 days and then we decided not to answer any call with the ID "Toll Free Call".
While I am writing this I just got another call @ 9:21pm from the same number.  That is 8 minutes between calls!  How do you make the calls stop?!

So far within a span of 3 days I have received 10 calls from this number 866-318-5148 on my cell. I never answer any numbers I do not recognize and thank God I do not. I've been reading up on people being bothered just like me. My advice is to press ignore if you do not recognize ANY number. These days you never know what type of scam is waiting for you on the other end of the line.

Beware these guys call all night and day and won't stop asking  you to do a survey and say you will need to send money to get money. I reported to the az attorney genrals office , recommend you call your local office. Alot of complaints already ,and phone company is collecting data now so keep filing complaits aganist this telemarket from india

Just got two calls. I called back, and they are closed. Couldn't leave message. I have no clue who they are or how they got my number.
