The company that I calling you isn't 'posing' as TD Bank. It's a research company called Corsential that was hired by TD to call about your most recent visit to the branch. If you don't bank with TD you need to pick up the phone and tell them that. When there is no answer, that basically tells the computer that no one is home and that calling in a few hours may work. That's why ignoring market research alls may be the worst way to resolve it. You have to physically pick up the phone and do a 2 minute survey or state that you're not interested and want them to stop calling.

Telescammers isn't a word first of all. Secondly this is a real job. I work full time and get thousands of executives a year to participate in our annual financial report. Greenwich is a reputable research company and I'm sorry you are missinformed about what research is.

You have to pick up the phone. It calls everyday because of the computer system. Not the company. So actually pick up the phone and say take me off the list.

Hello, I work for Greenwich Associates and when you don't pick up the phone the computer(not the people) are programed to call back. From my experience in being. Market research interviewer for the company, if you ask to be taken off the list, the interviewer is supposed to stop calling. Being on the 'do not call list' doesn't apply to market research. Hope this helps.

This number has called 4 times today. Interesting that the calls have always started within 5 minutes of going online - can't explain it but hard to believe it is a coincidence. No message - we have a 4 ring kick-in, always stops after 3 rings.

They called twice today ... I was in meetings so my phone was silent. I googled the area code because it was unfamilliar.

I don't want anymore calls from this number - don't know who they are and don't want to know.  They are invading my privacy -NO MORE STUPID CALLS.......

We have received numerous calls from 866-319-1118 from a woman named Shawna on behalf of Greenwich Associates.  Today I gave them their second notice to remove us from their list and to stop calling us.  They have tried to contact our financial officer in the past to participate in a survey.  We declined to be in their survey or participate with their program, but they keep calling.

I've been receiving 3 calls a day from 1-866-319-1118 for a week.  I finally answered the call today.  The caller identified himself as working for a market research company hired by TD Canada Trust to do customer satisfaction surveys.  This makes sense.  I had a problem with my bank branch recently and they wanted to know about the type of customer service I received and whether the bank resolved the problem to my satisfaction.

They call me at least 4 times a day.  I have had asked them repeatedly to take me off all of their lists....this is frustrating.

Got a call they hung up before I could pick-up the phone.  I use to live in Toronto 6yrs ago, But had a different phone number.  I now live in the U.S. with a U.S. number.

So I looked up consumercontact.com and called their call center supervisor.  This was mentioned in a previous post - it's Consumer Contact ULC, a company out of Don Mills Ontario whose clients include the TD Bank.

She was quite helpful, and though she didn't initially recognize the number, she said it could have been from an outsourced call center.  She took my number, and promised to remove it from their in-house database.  Apparently it takes 24hrs to process, but I believed her. We'll see.

The phone number is 1-800-461-3924,  menu option 4 "speak to a call center supervisor."

Hopefully this is a solution.

I get this too - 1-866-319-1118 - who are these people?  How do we find them?  I've tried calling back, but I only ever get a busy signal.  Next time I will tell them I am a police officer too, and that this call is being traced!

I live in Canada and am registered on the no call registry until October 7, 2013. These idiots called my house 4 times in less than 4 hours. WTF, do we have a don't call registry for if we keep getting calls? This number does not show up in a reverse search as to who it is. I am sick of this crap and this isn't the only number calling my house at all f**king hours, including Sundays.

Hello: I'am recieving " IRRATATING " and "UNWANTAD CALLS" from this area code and telephone number.Whoever has rigged this "Uninviting Telephone Number " to call my private residential home number always calls this unwelcomed number around the dinner hour.But there's no message.I had enough of this harassment.It could interupt with an outgoing call incase of an emergency to a family member,a family loved one.a friend or a neighbour.PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a brand new cell from TELUS, and within 2 days these f***ers are calling me!! Now, I'm actually a very nice, decent, and well educated person, but I have a completely non-tolerant, ballistically foul temper for these sorts of scum! I have NO idea why most of you people here try to be polite to these f***ing slime- tell them you'll butcher them and their families if you ever dare to call me!!! I'm going to TELUS tomorrow and tell them that if they don't f*** these people over and tell them to get off my planet I'l drive over my new Android and they will never get a f***ing penny from me!  Stop being polite people!!! Ask for their name & then tell them to hold on until you hook up your tape recorder so you can be sure you get all the facts right.

I thought I would find some help on this site but all I've found nothing useful-does anyone have a real answer regarding how to stop these harassing calls?
