JUST GOT 2 CALLS TODAY, SHE WANTED TO BUY STUFF FOR MY BUSINESS INSISTING PAYING ABOVE MY PRICE VIA CREDIT CARD. I KNEW IT WAS A SCAM, SO I OFFERED TO SELL HER FARMED FRESH T-REX EGGS FROM CALIFORNIA ALONG WITH WHALE MEAT . THE CALLER FELL FOR IT & I TOLD HER TO EFF URSELF!!!!

Had a ad for barstools for sale in craigslist and got a call from Alin? (female) telling me to call this number, legit???  if so contact the email address provided from craigslist, thanks.

I had a lady say she deaf. She said she was sending a cashiers check. Then she said that she was sending extra 50.00 for me to pay the mover. she asked me to make it western union. A friend told me she recieved a similar story.

The woman asked "Hi,is this a business?".When I said "No" there was silence. Then I said "Hello?", she said "I'm sorry" and hung up.

WE RECIEVED A PHONE CALL FROM YOUR SERVICES .. THE PERSON TRACIE SINGLETON USED A VOICE PHONE YESTERDAY.. HE IS IN THE ATLANTA GA AREA.. HE IS NOT HEARING HANDICAPPED.. AND THE OPERATOR WAS DOING UNPROFESSIONAL JOB.. SO NOW I AM THINKING WE WERE SCAMMED BY THIS TRACIE INTO THINKING THEY WERE USING YOUR SERVICES. I DONT THINK YOUR OPERATORS WOULD HAVE BEHAVED LIKE THAT OR TALKED LIKE THAT IN THEIR USE OF PROFESSIONALISM, GOOD MANNERS, POLITENESS, GOOD BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS..

Received call from this number at 7:30 am.  Asked if I knew her cousin, gave me his name.  I told her I used to work for him.  Then she wanted to know if he still was located on a particular street.  I told her to look him up in the phone company and call him herself, then hung up.

This is Sorenson Communications video relay service for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.  They are interpreting for a deaf or hard-of-hearing person using sign-language.  These people can't call people directly because they can't hear what the other person is saying.

It is a legitimate company,  Unfortunately, some people misuse the service to commit fraud or scams.  If you don't know anyone who is deaf and you are not a company, then it's probably a scam.

If you recently put an ad on Craigslist for puppies or a boat, and they are asking you about it, it's probably a scam.

If they want you to cash a check and send the rest of the money to their "Shipper Agent" then it's probably a scam.

If they are asking for the special at a restaurant or they are ordering pizza, it's legit.

If they are ordering 200 of something, it's probably a scam.

They are a legit service. We had had calls from them 3 times with a deaf person calling with electric scooter questions. That person has come into the store as well.

I just called the number back. It is Sorensen Video Relay services for the deaf. I have a deaf son and he has a video phone that is run by Sorensen. I do have a caution for those who left comments about scammers. If you know a deaf person, tell them to spread the word through the deaf community to be aware of scammers. Our son has been scammed from the Internet. And now I'm wondering if he was scammed from the video relay (not the company but a person who figured out they can access the deaf through this type of sevice). Never, never send money to someone or some company that you know nothing about or have never met, even an "online love."

i got this too, they said that it was from a friend of mine trying to ge ta hold of me to help them with math homework and asked for my address so they could come by after i said come to my place instead of theirs. i hung up when they asked for my address.

I posted an ad on craigslist regarding a car for sale. Someone 'anthony' called me via this number - clearly a deaf interpreter service but the level of questions being asked was progressively invasive and was asking about putting the car on hold for over a week (no deposit) and that they would definitely show up and pay cash. I stopped it short as I had stronger leads and I had heard scams operate in this way.

Received a message at my job from this number but they did not say anything.  I only heard someone breathing and they hung up.

This scammer called and left a message.  She knew my boyfriend's name, told me to call a different number, and then laughed at the end.  The only way my boyfriend's name would  be tied to my phone number is through etsy.com.

Called at 200 am on cell phone and left a message but hung up before saying anything.

I recieved a call from this number & it was a deaf person who did have a relyer on the line & they wanted to purchased a ticket from me. The deaf person did meet me & did purchase the ticket. This was a legitimate call for me.

I just received a call from this number and the caller was posing as a relay operator for a deaf or hard of hearing person.  They asked if we sold countertops.  I asked where the deaf or hard of hearing person was calling from because the company that I work for only sells locally.  That question was never answered but they wanted our business e-mail address.  I gave it to the caller and they sent me a "test" e-mail.  They were requesting pricing on granite countertops and if we accepted credit cards.  It all sounded too weird so I decided to check out the phone # on the internet and guess what...it's a scam!  Glad I didn't get "taken!"  Watch out everyone!

Some girl called me from this number and all she said was "Hey lover! Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you!" Then she pronounces my name wrong. My birthday was about a month and a week ago, by the way. Weird stuff.

I received harassment calls from this number, they did say they were relaying information from a deaf or hard to hearing person.  They asked if I liked jizz in my eye, or mouth. I told the person I was talking to (The relyer) that I will be contacting the cops and charging for harassment.  The company should have static ips of the people that are relaying for, which can be traced, and I hope I catch who did this.

Got a call from this number today and hung up immediately with out saying anything. Just flipped my phone open and closed.  I believe that this scammer got my information through craigslist

I have gotten twenty-three calls from this number today. I picked up most of them and nothing was said. I even waited on the phone for five minutes to see if anyone ever said anything and nothing was said. Its really pissing me off.

Left a message saying they got my letter about taxes and told me to call them back about it.

Received an incoming call on my cell phone from 866-327-8877.  I didn't answer, and there was no message left.

Received a call from this number, from a "Reverend" wanting to purchase
a substaintial amount of merchandise from our company. Then received an
e mail from same "reverend" with same request. We were told to contact
the freight company to arrange for pick up of product , but we would have to prepay the freight and be reimbursed for freight as well as be paid for material (several thousand dollars) by credit card. THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM
it's belived to be from Uganda. We were hit by this same scam last year, the cards are Stolen. We refused to ship the material until the money was transferred so we only out a few hundred dollars insteard of several thousand.

The lack of anything on your message machine is an interpreter for the deaf letting the caller know it is a machine. Machines have a limited time and the caller often decides not to leave a message. If they leave no message, the interpreter does not speak. This is why you don't hear a messsage that says = uh - no message.
