This number keeps calling me and hanging up too.  I'm pretty sure it's from ordering a Snuggie.  We ordered some for Christmas and ever since then, we've been getting calls like this from various numbers.  I have since looked at the website and the Privacy Policy states that they do sell your information to other companies.

I called Snuggie Customer Service today at 1-800-566-2888 and spoke to a representative.  I nicely asked how I could make the calls stop.  At first, the representative told me that they had nothing to do with it.  When I cited the online Privacy Policy and asked for a supervisor, he changed his tune.

He put me on hold for a few minutes, then came back and apologized, said he'd remove my information from the list, and credited my credit card $10!  I'd try it if you ordered a Snuggie.  Now we'll see if it actually works....

The caller identified himself as "Guillermo" from Capital Rewards Card, essentially wanting me to call another number to give information about my credit card so I may receive the "promotional package". Don't do it. They will have the last four digits of your credit as well as your name and address. They are fishing ("phishing") for ALL OF YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO!. They have gotten this leaked info about you from another online retailer (some people suspect Hotwire as do I) and now need the complete credit card number and security code on the back. If you call the number they ask you to in order to receive the free goodies, they will tape record your authorization to charge your card (for "shipping") and use it at their free will for additional shipping charges or purchase. If you contest the unauthorized purchases, they will produce the recording as proof that you ok'd the charges. They are very fast talking and will not let you slip a word in. By the way, I am on the National Do Not Call List, and they still called. They will avoid answering their policy for "Do Not Call" and will not provide an address or send you the policy which is in direct violation of FCC regulations. Tell them no, and tell them to take you off their call list. They are waiting to rip you off.

Heres a quick solution for iPhone users, theres a program called blacklist in cydia, download it, and add the number to it, there you go, no more annoying calls, and even if they changed there number every 31 days like mentioned earlier you can add the new number, its better to add a new number once a month then recieving those harassing calls 4-5 times daily.

This number called me 3 days in a row and never left a message, I finally answered

Them:
"Is this soandso"
Me:
"It is"
Them:
"We are calling about your capital rewards" *click*

Seems like they're pfishing to match up names to numbers for other scams, lists to sell, and/or get you to say "yes" in a recording.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!! STOP AND READ!!!!-Ok so, I got 3 or 4 calls today alone.  I kept messing with them BAD!  I would let them get all the way through the pitch and get to the recorded time and complete mess up my address and when they tell me to say "yes" i would say "uh huh" or yeah and they would get soooo mad because they need a "YES".  HAHA.  After the 5th or 6th call, I was getting ticked.  I decided to get some info out of this guy that was new at the company.  I pretended to work for them in the past.  I know these guys call locally to keep the phone cost down, so i asked if he was at the Clearwater Florida location or the St. Petersburg location.
Says, "no i'm at the Tampa location."
"Really? I worked at that one sometimes!  Is this the one on Kennedy?" "no this is the one on 22nd and Fowler ave."
"is that one called fundraising Inc. also?"
"No, this one is D&R Investments."
"Does what's his name still run it?"
"Yup, Ryan and Dan!"
"I know Ryan!"
"so do you want the rewards?"
"Nope!"
CLICK!

So there you go:
D&R Investments
22nd and Fowler Ave Tampa, FLORIDA
Owners: Dan and Ryan (D&R)

GO GET'EM!!!!!!

They offer free gift card, and a package in the mail explaining their offers from companies. They do not tell you that you will begin to see unauthorized charges to your CC account.  Some of the charges when you call the other company claim the charge is non-refundable like "ID Watchdog".  Your CC company then has to have you file a dispute against them to get your charges off your account.  They are definitely a rip-off scam.

Just received a call from this same # and they said we would be getting a 3 day 2 night trip and when my husband asked, "Why?" they said for being a preferred customer of Mastercard. She then asked for an address verification and he said "Why? Are you trying to sign me up for something?" and the phone disconnected. Must be a scam!!!

These a**holes call me too........let it ring "twice",  then hang up.......everytime I try to call back,(like immediately!!!!) the line is busy......GEE!!!!!, What a surprise!!!!!!!  THEY CALL JUST TO HARASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone getting calls like this,  it would be in your best interest to just "pick-up, then hang-up, as quick as you can.....or don't even answer it in the first place).  "Low-budjet bounty-hunters" is all they are........Try "do not call.gov" This might help some of you out if you don't want these annoying calls.......I've yet to try this.....but I'm GOING TOO, BELIEVE ME!!!!!!  I hope it works........thanks..........Don

I found their number.  They are a subsidiary of DR Investments.  You can call them at (813)983-1700.  After dodging the question for a while the goob I talked to finally admitted they were capital rewards.  He said he was taking my name off the list but we'll see.

As J.S. stated(and I agree)......I ordered from "Snuggies" too.......and they tried to "RIP ME OFF", by charging my debit card another $12.50/month without my knowledge,(that's the only way I could stop them) and OK............I had to change my account, and debit card number, JUST to have them STOP RIPPING ME OFF........I'd LOVE to meet with these CEO'S.......and discuss MY terms of agreement, heh-heh,.......DON'T ANSWER THIS NUMBER WHEN CALLED........THEY ARE A**HOLES, plain and simple.......after YOUR money, they don't deserve........
