Called our number here at work (which we've had for 6 years now) saying it was an urgent message and to call Mr. Fields. So I did. When he answered, I said, "Who are you and who do you want?" He was taken aback and tried to say he didn't know what I was talking about. I explained he called ME on a business phone. He said he would take the number off but of course we'll wait for them to call next week, too.

I'm a victim too, what I did is submitting them to FBI, everyone, let's do the same, submit them! I'm sure FBI have other priorities, but when too many people complain about a company, FBI will have to start investigating, because FBI is now overwhelmed, it's become a problem for FBI too, and they have to stop it! This is the only way to stop them from harming more people!!!
The logic is pretty simple here:
They harass you ==> You turn around "harass" FBI ==> FBI turn around "harass" them ==> you will be in peace;-)

Today I received one of those same calls while I was gone. I have had my phone number for 13 years and have I am not a deadbeat. They didn't leave a name of who they were looking for and when I called back they just had me leave a message not wait for a person to talk to.
They should at least leave a name of who they are looking for so that I can let them know that they don't live here and then deal with them if they don't beleave me.

JC Christiansen & Associates is calling to conduct business with my father who is elderly, has a speach defficiency and is not "right" in the head. I have power of attourney, but they are not interested in it..they want to speak to my father. Since I conduct all of my father's business and know every business he is associated with, I know JCC is not one of them. After they see that they can't get any farther than me, they terminate the call. This company calls EVERY day in hopes that my father wil pick up. They are predators who pray on the disabled and the ignorant.  WARNING AND CAUTION TO ALL!!!!

I get the feeling that shotcaller works for this company.

I don't sound like a female as well as identify that in my msg "Cynthia."  The # they tell me to call is 866-319-8619 and now the msg is simply "Again, 866-319-8619").  So I called both nos.. using my landline and told them to stop harrassing me because of all these issues our family was having to deal with and that i don't have time for their s*** and i would sue them. she hung up on me and to this day i get at least one or 2 calls per day from them so what do i do now??!!! I simply hang up/power down my cell when i see their # and I delete their damn msg when I turn my phone on again.  Total idiots.  Whoever they are they better not even think of coming after me/us - we have excellent credit, pay our bills on time, taxes and try to "cut as many corners" as we can, so to speak, and struggling like many others...my husband was right, when i told him about this he just shook his head and said "what a scam!"  Sure is!!!  Peace and Seasons Greetings to you and thank you for sharing this info!"

After reading this and another site about fraudelent #'s I did my own research and found out they are in fact a collection company - they called me up until 12/22 just a few days before christmas and the day my husband's former friend and employee of 3 years passed away leaving a beautiful wife and 7 children....so i decided to just call the 320- # from my cell since the 866 # you all are right they just say all of our assoc are busy w/other customers pls hold and hold and hold...so i finally kept pressing 00000000 when they would ask me to key in my SS# (right! like im an idiot) then their auto system says "sorry were having difficulty w/your call..we'll connect you to (??)'s voice mail (it was a man).  Did i tell them off..after being polite and nice and asking them for over a yr and half..i finally just very firmly told them that they have my number since they have been calling it multiple times a day for over a yr, that i will NOT give out my SSN that it is private info and that i researched their co on the internet and found out they are a debt collection agency (however - fradulent i believe)...that if they EVER call me again i would report them to the FCC and guess what???

I have not gotten one call since then (but i figure it is most likely because they took off for the holidays)

I get calls back o back. I never get a real person and dont know why these people are calling me. I am ignoring the calls now.

Mandy, I feel for you and understand completely.  The # the idiots call me from is 320-534-4394 and they tell me to "Again, 866-319-8619.  There are many people that I wonder how they sleep at night, and these are such people.  btw, shot caller - bad call on your part (just my opinion). I JUST GOT A CALL FROM A UNPROFESSIONAL GUY NAMED LARRY WHOM SAYS HE HAD A BILL FROM MY HUSBAND FROM "SEARS" THAT WAS 4 YEARS OLD WHICH WE BOUGHT 8 YRS AGO AND ONLY OWE 400 OF IT!! I TOLD HIM I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH CHEMO AND VERY SICK AND HE STARTED TALKING ABOUT OTHER CREDIT MATTERS ON MY HUSBANDS CREDIT AND HE SAID THAT IF WE DIDNT HAVE TO PAY FOR A CAR THAT IS xxx AMOUNT THEN WE COULD PAY OUR BILL THE DAMN CAR HAS BEEN PAID OFF A YEAR!! I've got a mail box on the street. They can stop calling constantly- I'm wearing the paint off the "DELETE" button of the answering machine.

I have been getting a call at my work 3 times now from this company and I keep telling them to quit calling me at work and he refuses. They threaten my job and has called my work and asks questions about me to the employees. I don't know who this company is but I will file a complaint if continues.

Try to report them to the No Call List People.  My kids legal age messed up with their credit now I am getting the calls.  The kids are gone for years now.

I have been getting calls stating "They have an important message for me" then the line goes dead.  Just today I received a voicemail message stating it is very imperative I call them back and they then said they were from J C Christensen and Associates.  I do have some old debt that I am in the process of clearning up...not sure what to do...

The work "OR" is the key here.

Suggestive solutions are to tell them in a calm voice that you do not know this person and the wrong number is being dialed.  You could also ask for their address and write them a note to tell them.  Or ask for a manager.  

Rudeness is usually a two-way street.

"All times of day or night"  would not be before 8am or 9pm, so you can stop with the dramatics.

You, in fact, may be the real idiot, since the assumption here is that most of us have numbers previously owned by deadbeats.  I've had my number for 3 years now, and have called this number on two separate occasions to tell them the person they seek no longer owns the number.  Guess what?  They get nasty, don't listen, and still keep calling and leaving recorded messages at all times of day or night.

Isn't it ironic how the people that post here wonder who is calling them, and are surprised to find out it's a collection agency!?!?  

Now, I know that some people here don't owe money and are still receiving calls.  Realize that some deadbeat probably had or provided the phone number that is now assigned to you.  

If you get a call, return the call-ask them who they are looking for, and respond intelligently.  If it's not you and you don't know the person, just SAY SO!  I am sure they don't want to talk to you if it's the wrong person.

Thank god the internet makes us anonomyous, because most of you posting are complete idiots.

These people are calling my home for a person I have never heard of and when I tell them that they say "Yeah Right"  The guy today told me that they will continue to call until I give them this person's contact information.  So, I have today reported them to the ftc and the phone company is changing my number.  The ftc will file a valid complaint and advised me to send these people a certified do not call letter.  This is a very unproffessional company and I am amazed as to how they think harrassing people will get them any more money.  If I were in fact the person they wanted or if I knew this person I would tell them not to pay these people out of spite.

Not only to I recieve calls from 866-350-8346, but also from 320-534-4307.  I googled that number and came up with Array Services.  I went to their web site and sure enough J C Christensen was listed as one of their companies.  These people are nothing more than Loan Sharks.  They purchase old charged off debts from creditable financial institutions then they start adding "interest" to the balance.  They never send a monthly statement, they only call and call and call and call....

I get this automated call everday sometimes twice. It is very annoying. No name to call and no info.

I, too, kept getting automated calls from this number, telling me to call back a "Kevin Fields."  I do not intend to call back, either.  If they have not legitimate business to call me, I will not respond.  They can spend all their dimes if they want, but...the cows will be coming home and I still will be "out of reach."  Annoyance calls, these are nothing but.

Got a call from someone who left this number. They (their automated dialer, I presume) began their spiel before my answering machine message finished so their message was somewhat garbled. When they repeated the number to call, I was able to dope out the numbers as 866-350-8346. The situation was very similar to other past calls whose number I did not keep but seemed worth a Googling. As I suspected, the number was reported to be from a bottom feeding muck sucker. I have not and don't intend to call this number. If they repeat calling me to the point of annoyance I will take action.

They have been calling everyday. On another site I found several links stateing they are a fraudulent collections agency. Do not giv them any information.

These goddamned scumbags call me every single day, sometimes twice. It's not even a person. It's a message that instructs you to call the number. I got fed up and called, wondering just what the hell these people want. Well, the person on the other line refused to tell me the name of their business, what they do or why they were calling. He wouldn't tell me. Finally I asked him again, 'what the f*** are you calling to speak to me about?' He hung up. And they still call every day. Today I got an answering machine saying the company was 'JC Christianson and Associates.'
