They just called me, the guy sounded like an indian guy speaking english. Knew my business name but not my name, asked for my name to confirm (I refused), I asked why he was trying to sell me...
He said he didn't wanted me to sell me anything, but wanted me to wait till the correct data came on his screen. Same answer when I got angry and asked him how his boss would make money out of this if he didn't have anything to sell me.
After a while of "just hold on, this is much more important than you think", I just told him to stop s****ing me and hung up on him.

By the way, I don't own a single penny to anyone, so this can't be a collection agency (as some of you suggested). I call this fraud/scam.

They have been calling me for 3 weeks now. Leaves me a number I cannot call as it does not exist and when I finally talk to someone they say the reason is confidential so I say well my address is confidential. She gets pissed and says I don't have a choice and it doesn't work that way. I tell her that if she doesn't tell who she is and what this call is regarding I will not answer any of her questions. As she is ranting on the other end I hang up.
She did say that she was calling from Iqor canada but with no extra info. Like i'm supposed to know who they are.

Guys these guys are just a collection company in Canada they are not FRAUD OR SCAM they are just plain a***oles tat will bug you till you f****n pay ur account to the f****n company u owe money too... those sons of bi****s i hate them

They called this morning while I was at work. My son answered and he says they asked for me by name. They said to call back before 16h00. I called back twice from the office to be put on hold and hung up on after a ten minute wait...The message doesn't say what the company is, just that all the lines are busy and that an agent will be with me shortly...
If it so urgent that I call back, the least they could do is answer the phone...
I read a few reports on different websites for this number and my feeling is they are not legit...We'll see if they call back again but I will be careful. Thanks for all the comments you gave.

I get this call all of the time (866-351-9732) Sometimes there is someone on the other end and sometimes not. The first call that I got where there was a live person, she hung up on me when I told her 3 times that I could not understand what she was saying. So I called the # back and when she answered, she did not answer from a business, she just said Hello. What business would answer that way. I hung up on her.
Also the 3rd call that I got when there was a live person on the other end, I answered: "Good morning, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, How can I help you?" WOW, did I ever get a loud click in my ear that time.
This did stop the phone calls from that # for about 3 weeks, but have now started up again. I have reported it to the Do Not Call List, but doesn't seem to make any difference. Does ayone have any idea how we can get this # to stop calling us?

it;s a credit agency call IQUOR I have done some research they do collections on parking tickets and stuff like that also for bell and rogers I had an overdue parking ticket and got a call from them

These people call 5-6 times per day.  When I picked up, a recording came on the line telling me to hold on.  I then closed the phone and redialed that number.  I got a live person on the phone.  Asked what company it was, he spoke so fast I asked him 3 times.  Still not able to understand.  Then he tells me that he was looking for a person.  This person was not me but had my last name.  

Anyways I asked him again what company they were and he said, like I said, different people with different clauses, and that I was not the one that they were looking for.  I asked that they remove that number from their list.

This number calls often and when we answer, there is no one on the line...And like others, we call back and are put on hold...leaving us to hang up after awhile..

she said the same thing to me but she asked for my dad and she told me tht it was very importen tht he calls before two she asked for my name thts it should i tell my dad or justt ignore them everytime they call?

they are IQOR Canada..  they are a collection agency in Ontario..

DO NOT EVER GIVE INFORMATION to this IQOR company.  They are complete FRAUD!
I am receiving 10 calls a day from them and when I called them back from an unknown number and asked what kind of company they were, they told me it was
confidential.  They asked me for my phone number to remove me from their list but yet when they call they tell me that they are a collection agency.
I am going to have them investigated as this is pure FRAUD and SCAMMING.
DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY.  DO NOT give out any type of information.  I called Rogers to ask if they were associated with them and they said NO!

I don't know who this is, but they just called me, and I kept getting a recording that would say "Please hold for an important message" (2 or 3 times I think), then got a click and a dial tone......

These a**holes call every week, demanding personal information. IDENTITY THEFT ALERT!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number today too.  I have one of those distinctive rings on my phone that will tell me when the number calling is a long distance number.  I have a simple method of dealing with these - NEVER EVER answer them.  If they want me to answer, they'll display a number I recognize and if they think it's important enough to leave a message they will.  If I receive a message and I'm unsure of the origin (never dealt with the company) I still won't return the call.  They certainly have enough money to send me a letter in the email if they legimitately have business with me.  They haven't done it yet, so they obviously aren't that interested in contacting me.

Go cold turkey on answering calls from all centers everywhere!

They called for the first time today. let it go to vmail they left one but it got cut off so i only got the last 4 digits of the number i was supposed to call back.

They just called and hung up on the 3rd ring.
I think it's a scam. Don't answer. Don't call them back.

Anyone can pretend to be anybody on the phone.
How do you know what they are really up to?
They could be just information gatherers
for an identity theft scam or for telemarkleting lists resellers.

They called in a very firm and serious way that they need to talk to J.E. and I said I am, they try to confirm my address, and I said may I know what sort of business is what you are calling from, they didn't give any information, and they reply, tell that person if is not you to call 1 866 351 9732 before noon or that person will be in trouble.....? we are updating our files and that's why is an emergency, that's it....
Unbelievable the way that this crooks try to intimidate you...and also sad that the authorities don't do nothing to stop them...<grrr>

Got a call on my cell. It's a brand new cell number I've had only for 5 days

Calls my fax # at least twice every day.
Disconnects as soon as fax machine answers???

Calls and ask if I was LL, I said yes, she ask me did you stayed at this address.

I ask her who's compagny it was, she said IKAR or ICAR...  I ask her what do you do?  And she said she need the information before answering me.  She told me, ok, we'll keep calling.

A think that she tryed to steel my identity...

Calls every day, sometimes twice a day.  No one there.  Whenever I see the number on screen, I don't bother answering.

Getting these calls all the time, but no one there.  Does anyone know how to get rid of them?

The lady asked "Am I speaking to JJ?"  I replied "Yes".
She asked the question again.  I did not reply.
She asked the question a third time.  I said "I have already replied".  She said "Oh so you really are JJ! Are you living at (my adress)?"  I said "Who am I speaking to?" She replied "If you are going to be this much on the defensive, I will call you back another time" and hung up.

I get called daily by this number, whenever i pick up there's nothing at the other end very annoying, i just hang up right away now

Also rec'd a call from this number. They seem to be calling from a call centre in India. Claimed they were a collection agency and that I had something overdue at a company I have never dealt with. They had my address wrong as well. Most likely some sort of scam. They hung up after I challenged them. Beware.
