This is the first time I've received a call from this number but I missed it (thankfully) and it went to voicemail. I'm glad I found this page. Definitely don't be calling them back! They didn't give a company name only a file number but they don't say a file as to what. If this is a collection agency it's probably a scam considering I don't owe anything to any company, collection or otherwise.

Received a call early this morning from "NCO financial" (however they did not tell me that on the message they left). In the message they said I needed to call back before 5pm today for an important business matter. They did not ask for a specific person at our home nor did they leave their own name. Called back after reading up on the number and seeing they're a "collection agency". The lady answered right away asked for my phone number. Was hesitant to give it to her. Asked why would they have called me. She said they're a collect agency and that's all they can say. I have no debt and owe nothing to any company and don't have PayPal. As it seems a lot of you said this is connected to PayPal. Anyhow she looked up my phone number then said that our number wasn't in their system then tried to get my name. Told her I'm not disclosing that. And said goodbye.

They're a scam from what I understand and I advice no one to give out any of their personal information to this company or to any other creepy company for matter.

Update on the call : they called me back. Asking to confirm my old adress. I told them to tell me what it was about before i could confirm anything. He said it was about another adress. I said. What about this one ? He said he would call back said goodbye and hung up. He would not tell me what the call was about.

They called me today regarding a file. Left the file number on voicemail. Said his name was moustafa. I do not owe money to anyone. I tryed to call back. Ended up on moustafas voice mail saying he was buzy. Will never call back or awnser again. This stuff is ridiculous...this number will go to black list. 1866-378-2730 ext 5854

Got recorded message from 8663782730 said I was to call them back at another number. Message was part English part French, stupid if they think I'll call them back. I live in WPG.MB.

I received a call from Angela 866 378 2730 x5694, who with a french accent asked to speak with a persons name who sounded like my mother...I clarified by repeating the name, and indeed she was looking for my mother.  When I said I had absolutely no idea why they would be calling me at my phone number looking for my mother, who is in her 70`s, has had the same phone number in her name for over 20 years, and has never lived with me, she told me it was important she spoke to her. She asked me for my Mothers phone number.  When I asked what she needed it for, she simply said because it was personal she could not disclose that with me....I said my mothers phone number is also personal, and for the exact same reason I would not disclose it with her...Angela got angry and before hanging up on me said they would locate her some other way....I wished her luck

My mother owes no one anything, all bills are paid, she owns her home, and they must be hunting for personal info.

Called pertaining to a file number, was very rude, and would not give any information about what the call was for. Collection agencies that pretend to be one are worse than a real collection agency! All beware of both.
Find something else to do then to harass everyday people.
Leave us the hell alone

SCAM PEOPLE!!! they called claiming i owe for my hydro.. 1st of all im good with my hydro.. they had an address i had years ago.. it was the only listed addy i had.. and i lived at that house for a couple months... my "debt" came from those few months.. they had no other information on where i live.. they should ive been here for years.. i refused to give my addy they said they have my sin.. refused to tell me it... i called them back 7 times!!! like a crazy lady to drive those f****rs nuts... they now wont be calling me back.. or refuse to answer my calls lmao... tell them your calling the bbb you have their number :D

I'm glad I searched up the number, I have received many calls and have tried to call back as well but just keep getting voice mail. Apparently from what I've read here they are a collection agency, and I know I don't owe money to anyone. I have not received anything in the mail either so now I am almost certain there is something not right with this company.

They are a real collecting agency. They called and I talked to the guy and he asked me for a payment. I told him that I wanted to make a few phone call first so I hung up after he left me his number and I called the company in which I had money I owed them. They told me they can't take the money from me anymore and that they send the file over to NCO for collecting and they gave me the exact same number NCO gave me to call them back.

So unless Koodo mobile is in a global internet super scam, NCO is legit. Keep a copy of your transactions and ask for a recipe after payment and it's gonna be fine.

I AM GETTING THE SAME TELEPHONE CALL FROM THE NUMBER 1-866-378-2730 EXT 5652. AND THEY ARE ASKING FOR A CINDY ROBINSON AND THE ONE THAT CALLS IS SOMEBODY CALLED MARIE FRANCE. AND IVE TOLD HER AT LEAST 3 TO 4 TIMES THAT THIS ROBINSON DOES NOT LIVE HERE AND NEVER HAS AND I ALSO TOLD THEM THAT I HAVE 2 DAUGHTER AND 3 GRAND DAUGHTERS AND NONE OF THEM IS NAMED CINDY NOT EVEN THERE MIDDLE NAME. BUT STILL GET THE CALLS. AND IF YOU ASK THE TEL COMPANY THEY DONT KNOW WHO THE NUMBER IS COME ON THAEY ARE THE TEL COMPANY THAT PROVIDES THE PHONES TO THESE PEOPLE. BUT MY FRIEND KIND OF FOUND OUT THREW GOOGLE THAT THEY ARE A COLLECTION AGENCY CALLED NCO OR SOMETHING. They are a SCAM.

They used a number that is not associated with my Paypal account.  They call me multiple times just like other people have reported above.   They never left the reason for the call or what it was about.

When I called back they said they are a collection agency for Paypal.   Which is bullock, my paypal account is in good standing and does not use my cellular phone number.  

Be careful  They are fishy at best and looking for dummies to loose money

I live in southern Ontario. I got 2 or 3 calls from them today, but missed them all. They all appeared as private caller listings. The msg left the number 1866 378 2730, and said to contact Krista at ext. 5618, and I was left with a 6 digit file number.

So this is what, a scam, or something, because I called back and I couldn't understand the msgs that were half english half french, I thought they called themselves the Seal Finances Company, not NCO. This seems really sketchy to me, at first I was concerned about my credit rating score, now I feel unsafe, information wise.

I got a call today from Mr.Carter, who told me that I have to call back urgently as it concerns my file. No file number was left and no details where from he was calling. This is unbelievable! These people are such scum.

Called, leaving message asking for son who no longer lives with us.The rest was hard to understand.

Ive been getting multiple calls with this reference as well. It is a restricted number that calls me on my phone and they are asking for some Marcella Valdakime or something like that. Ive answered the call before and told them that that individual is not at my number and for them to stop calling me and remove my number from their list, yet these calls have persisted. They recently left me a message and I was given this number to call some woman with a heavy accent back at 1 866 378 2730 ext 5652. It is becoming harassing and there's a few things Im debating doing, one being a report to the police about persisting phonecalls which are becoming harassing with reference to this number. I wonder if it is something that they can deal with, as I donot wish to change my phone number, espically considering that calls from this reference are evidently not simply restricted to me, but harassing to many people. The name they give for themself or the company is unclear in the message because of her super heavy accent.

When i called the # it said NCO.

They called me from NCO Finnacial Office 1-866-378-2730 ext:5627, and they said it is urgent toI called them back! when I Called them, I found out that is NCO Finnancila Agency (Collection agency) but the case number they left for me even was not in their system no either they could find my name too!!! Even they did not have my phone number that they used to leave messege for me!!!!!!!!!....
They asked me to call them back again to find out more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....... (I do not know what they mean? Find out about what!!!!!.....)

I believe they call multiple times a day.   However for the last few weeks it's been ringing on e and hanging up immediately - no messages left.
I haven't received anything by mail and I do not answer blocked calls, and have no intention of returning a mystery caller that harasses me without stating who they are from and what their call is regarding.

They've called here three times today leaving only one message. They do not say who they are calling for or who they are, just their number, an ext. and a ref. number. They always come up as private caller and my husband does not answer private or unknown callers. They've harassed him the first and only time he's talked to them twisting up his words saying that he doesn't want to pay when he clearly states he CAN NOT pay....watch out for the manipulation they will try on you..clearly state your reasoning as the call is recorded.

NCO is a collection agency!  They lie, and never follow governing laws that are impletemented to collection agencies.  They must always send you a letter first then can only call after 6 days after it is sent.(watch your date stamp on the letter)  if you have not received a letter call them back after 11 at night and ask for another to be sent and you will only discuss after receiving the letter.  Once receiving it, send them a registered letter stating that you wish communication only be done through mail so you can have a hard copy and proof of not getting screwed.  Send this to the collector - make sure you get the name - whether it is real or not as well as an employee number and ext.  Also send it to the President.  Upon this letter you send(KEEP ALL DOCUMENTATION)send in $5.00 a month to them by money order - never give them any bank information or employment information.  If they continue to call and harrass call and complain to the ministery of ocnsumer services - the agent can and will be charged and eventually loose their collection license!
