I'm actually not even sure if this is the number because I accidentally hung up before she could finish giving me the number which started with 866-392... Thank goodness I did.  After I hung up I was worried so I googled the number to call her back, and shockingly found that it all could have ended up bad!!! Wow I cannot believe people can do this, especially to people like me who know nothing about debt or how to pay them.

She calls and tells me I owe $800.00 and I know I left that bill only at $200.00.  She told me I had to pay the full price ASAP.  Then she tells me: Oh, well you can pay $225.00 by this Friday and pay the remainder next Friday. I told her I had no income and that wasn't possible. So she tells me to hold on and she'll try to find something else to help me out. She finds me a really good deal (or at least that's what I thought) for only $14.00 this Friday and $500.00 next Friday, and being the naive person that I am I was excited that the bill was lowered by that much, so I figured I can scrounge up fourteen bucks. But I'd only be able to do it in cash, so I ask how I go about sending it in, and she tells me that they only do billing electronically.  So then I was going to call someone with a debit or credit card. That's when I told her I'd have to call her back, and accidentally hung up.

It's been 20 minutes now and she hasn't called me back.  I feel so stupid for almost falling for this.  Now that I think back, everything was sketchy, to how much the bill was, only being able to pay electronically so they can probably steal my card number, even to her trying to get any kind of payment from me.  

I hope this can be stopped, and that nobody falls victim to these schemes.

I keep getting calls, which are recordings, asking me to call this number.  He says he's a collection agent and I had better call him as this is a timely matter.

I have been getting calls from this number for months.  Sometimes it's a person named Johnathan Mercurio, and lately they have been using other voices and names.  Thing is, this is my son's phone line (yes, I still keep a land line) and it's really starting to piss me off.  I want these people to stop calling.

these people are a nuiesances i get a call at least 3 times a dat i have know debts none these people are in violatins seriously.

Received call from somene id themselves as Jonathan Marcurio and part of National Action Financial services. They did NOT id who they were calling.
My caller id showed 716-650-6236 which i called and the voice answering machine id the person as Rob Bilson.
Since i only caught the last 4 digits of the number 2178 to call back to, it took me a bit to find the call came from 866-392-2178. I called the 866 number and the answering system id itself as National Action Financial Services supporting Chase, CitiCorp, etc. and most interesting "Bilson's Division". Anyone know who Rob Bilson is? No one at our telephone number owes any bad debt, so my inclination they either dialed the wrong number or they are fishing to get money out of anyone.

This number called my cell and left messages several time looking for someone i didn't know. i called them back and told them I was not who they are looking for and they stopped calling. They are a debt collections agency, I found their site on a google search. No big deal! By the way... the do not call list does not apply to debt collections agencies.

The caller id displayed 551-226-5760 which is a Jersey City cell phone, but the message says to call back National Actional Financial Systems at the 866 number.  They say they r looking for my son who hasn't lived here in 8 years.

When I answer, they hang up.

My daughter has been receiving calls from this number for the past 2 weeks.  She just graduated school and has never had anything to cause her to have to pay an old debt however when they call they ask for her by name.  Although everytime she has answered after 5 minutes of being on hold the phone disconnects.  Seriously believe this is a scam.  How can you call a child and try to collect a debt when the child has never had to pay for anything???

I called them back and told them I wasn't 'Donna King' and they took my name off the list to call.  The woman didn't ask for anything (even my name) except my number which they had anyway.  She said I shouldn't be getting any more calls.  Total call time was less than 2 minutes (including the on-hold wait at the beginning).

Just got this on my cell phone.  No one has this number on any documentation.  We have a land line for debt collectors.  No message was left.  So, not sure from whom or what about the call was.

Every day my phone rings from one of the numbers from (I assume from other posts) National Action Financial Services. Thank goodness for caller ID! I don't owe any old debts, so this is either a scam call or a wrong number. They always leave a message on my answering service (which wastes my time to clear). It is usually the same message, but one time they referenced a name (not mine), supporting my idea that it could be a wrong number. I doubt it, though, because of the experience of other complain postings.

National Action Financial Services. This company tries to collect on old debts. Don't pay any 'token' payments as it gives them the opportunity to sue for all of the debt. Check the statute of limitations laws in your state.

Says "All representatives busy.  Please hold and the next available representative will answer."  There is no identification what-so-ever.  Is this a cell phone billing scam?

Every time you get a phone call report the phone call to the Do Not Call list and other agencies. Also keep updating these forums.

If you decide to call them don't give out your name since they probably have the wrong number.  Make them tell you who they are calling.

If they know your name then make them put any debt they claim you owe in writing.  Do NOT admit to owing any debt and make them mail you a letter first.  

Do not give out your bank account number, social security number or credit card number over the phone.  They may try high pressure tactics to scare you and get you to pay over the phone but don't do it.  It the conversation sounds even a little bit threatening file a police report.

This is from National Action Financial services.  I am not sure if is a scam company or a collection agency.

They leave the same crooked sounding message with the same voice on my answering machine using different names and phone numbers  On another forum people were complaining because they were collecting for late Blockbuster video's from several years ago or you owe money on a closed Chase account.  Sounds like a scam.

If you call them don't give out your name or any other information.  Let them tell you who they are calling for.  Once you say your name they can make up some claim that you owe debt.

It stinks as much as the car warranty scam phone calls from two years ago.
