Just received a call. The man asked if I was ### #### and I said no. He said 'you aren't'. Well, Jeesch, I should know who I am. He said my number was given to him as an alternate by the person for whom he asked. I said 'no' again and asked who he was calling for. He said "Chase Mortgage Bank". Don't know what he was trying to do, because I told him I never had business with him and there was nobody by the name he asked. Wish I would have thought about sooner and I would have get him on the line for quite a long time. That way he couldn't bother anyone else.
I've listed my name for certain contests, so I do answer some 800 calls. When I get the 'click' meaning it's a rotary call, I just set the phone down; even if a recording comes on, and go about my business and hang up later. Maybe they will get the hint. At least I am blocking them from making other calls.
