I'm getting this same harassing phone call.  I haven't answered yet, and don't plan too after reading the descriptions of the calls here.  

I can't believe no one has started a law suit against these pesky sob's yet.

These people need to have a serious wake up call. If I had their number I'd call them as much as they call me.x

It is Dell Financial. If your payment is due on the 3rd and you don't pay it on/by the 3rd, expect some harrassing phone calls. DO NOT ANSWER. The more you answer, the more they will call. Seriously. They still call a lot, but not as much as if I answer their call. They have several numbers. Will even call from an Austin based number with the area code of 512.

I too... am receiving the same call as everyone else here.  I think what I'm gonna do is hold down a number key, just to irritate the s*** out of them.  I have also told them numerous times, that the person they're looking for (Mary), does not have the number they're calling, and explained that I just obtained my new cell phone with that number (cell phone companies recycle unused numbers).  They just don't get it....

Started to receive calls from this number about two weeks ago.  The descriptions posted here all sound familiar.  This has to be some type of scam.

They have been calling every 20 minutes for the last couple of days between the hours of 8am and 11pm.

i work for a cell company- they won't do anything if enough people call in- they only care if it eats into their profits.

I keep getting calls two to three times a day.  I've requested that the calls be discontinued and erase my phone number.  I still get the calls.  This number shows as an International number.  What can be done to stop the calls?

The day I started looking for a new job and was applying for jobs I started to get this call from this number. They call me EVERY DAY up to 4 times a day usually around 10:30am to 12pm DAILY like clock work. At first it was some foriegn laungage asking something now its NOTHING just silence. It is very annoying. The only way I have been told to stop it is to put a block on my phone through my phone company which costs $5.00 a month BULL CRAP! They need sued if that is the case for the money I have to spend to not be harrassed. However I can't find out from anyone what the heck to do I am so done with it.

This number is calling me like CRAZY However I have not EVER done anything with Dell and owe NO ONE money. Clean slate...what the heck!

SO I have had it. I called them back finally got someone. I have had my phone number for 6 years and two years ago moved into this place. They reason they are calling is because they are looking for the resident that USE to rent this place that was 2 years ago and that resident NEVER had my number before so how the heck did that happen? If you are renting a place you might want to find out if that call is for someone else. GERRRR I have had these calls coming daily all day for weeks and weeks!

solution... if you have a cellphone that can use mp3's as ring tones, make yourself an mp3 of silence. you can use a program like audacity to pull all the levels down on any mp3 and turn it into silence. assign that tone to this number. walla! no more annoyance!

my phone shows their number as missed calls but it rings no more (unless im on it, then it will beep in your ear)

This is Dell (From HELL) Financial Services.  Not only do they suck, they are breaking the law in their collection practices.  Somebody needs to create a class action lawsuit so the bottom feeder lawyers can make a bundle and we can a 1% discount coupon.  This is all for Mr. Dell to continue to fill his coffers with our hard earned money.

DON'T EVER Buy from DELL.  Their credit practices are dishonest and with the economy in the crapper, they are doing everything they can to continue to suck money (like LEACHES) from us - the hardworking people of America.

This number calls me 10 or more times a day, EVERY day, including weekends. I have never purchased anything from Dell EVER. This "company" also sent me a letter in the mail claiming my account was overdue. The first 3 times I called to demand answers, I was hung up on. When I did speak to someone with a foreign accent, he tried to tell me he needed my social security number in order to give me the phone number to the fraud department. UM HELLO?!! BEWARE! THIS IS A **SCAM**!!!! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION!

they keep calling but when I answer it is just dead air- when I try calling back it tells me "your international call could not be processed" ?  who is this number??

They have been calling my number for about two months now. Mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

I got a live person one time who refused to identify herself, the company, or the reason for the call. Said she would take this number off of their call list. the calls continue.

Has anyone had any real luck in shutting these idiots down? If so, how?

They made the mistake of calling me while I was driving home yesterday. Since I had an hour to kill, i waited for the connection to a live person. Sounded like India. I explained that i do not have ANY relationship w/Dell in any of its guises.

I also explained that if i receive another call after the next 24 hours (starting from the jtime of the call yesterday), I will be more than happy to arrange for some quality time for Dell Financial w/the BBB and the AG of THEIR state.

When talking to these people, try to get their First name and first letter of their last name(s). Keep them on the line as long as you can (blow their phone stats. Ask to have the call escalated. Be exceeding patient. The longer you keep them on the phone, the mopre it costs them.

Remember: they called you. They have an obliagtion to clean-up their data and to be courteous. while you're at it, why not record them? You may want proof down the line.

oh i have search this 18663955011 its delll financial services and im not alone to this situation. dell made a lot of complaints as far as i know the worst company i have dealt. u se to be a loyal customer for 5 years but now i had it. i have been a victim of a scam by hard support to dell financial services that turn to dispute. the matter is that they did unauthorized charge on my dell financial card that i did not authorized although i did remember i did somne technical support online with my desktop and turn it after the team finish some check on my computer and they already try to sell and hassle me to get a $150.00 1 year support. i said no thank you for the offer and i know i have purchased my xps desktop with warranty on it. my computer is almost 2 years old and i have ask a lot of technical support without adding more optional american technical specialist. until they dont stop hassling me i immediately just hung up the phone. i have 0 balance payment on my dell prefferd account that doesnt end there after a week or so i recieved dell preffered account with charge of $150.00 i immediately call the the dell financial services 1800 and turn this to be hell in a pain disconnection and passing me to every department. i have been on phone trying to explain but it always disconnecting me. i spent hours after hours and even days. after 3 or 4 days finally i reach the customer care or hardware department. i have went to every single department and went back to dell financial service i ask to take of the $150.00 unathorized charge and yes they promised they would take care of it and called me to investigate. call every 2 weeks and turn to almost 2 month asking why no 1 calling me due another process and but at first they cant find my complaint or any request refund credit and i was so angry with the customer again they will notify me to email about refund. dell financial should be resposible for all the late fee for the last 2 months and asking me to pay on all of it for $21.00 but i refused until i made a dispute and i will fight till the end dell had commited fraudulent activities that consumer should be protected by law. after that dell finacial 18663955011 and sound like foreign accent that been calling me 6 time a day everyday. and i try o call the number and always disconnecting everytime i talk to rep. i change my Home # i have reported this to california attorney general about this scam.

Same for me.  It just started three days ago, and they have called four times today.  Exceedingly annoying while I'm at work.  Wish I could block this number on my cell phone.

I just got off the phone with my cell phone carrier, Verizon.  I told them about these annoying phone calls, and they added something called the Nuisance Call Blocking feature to my account FREE OF CHARGE.  They added this number in, and hopefully I will receive no more calls from 866-395-5011!!  Yahoo!!!!!!  I'll write back if it doesn't work. (Btw, NCB feature allows you to block up to 5 numbers).

It's the foreign country originated automated Dell Financial Services.  Their tactics are illegal.  All Dell computers and products are pieces of crap anyway.  Their entire company is shady from top to bottom.  Even if you answer their call, they have no idea who you are or why they called.  They're complete idiots, same as their whole organization.  BEWARE of any dealings with HELL, err DELL.

DELL FINANCIAL CAN SUCK MY NUTS

Not only do they call my home number numerous times a day, but evidentally they call my place of employment as well. This is getting really old. Seriously, they call like 6 - 10 times a day, especially on the weekends. Does anyone know of any solution?
