A Frank Tedesco called with a case number and asked to call him back at the 1-866-397-1612 phone number.  Sounds like a scam.

A Mark Sloan called and left a message threatening that I would be summons to court. He said he is with WCS?

They are debt purchasers.

Tell them that you are herby warning them to issue further communication via writing ONLY and that if they call you again they are breaking the telecommunications act and you will report them to the police.

Also make sure you tell them you record your calls for security purposes - even if your actually not.

But try recording them. This company will make your life hell if you let them.

Do your research and be in control. If your not comfortable doing this tell them what I said above and hang up. If they call you more than 3times in 1 day this is breaking the law.

Do your reserch search "The Consumer action group" on google, you can find all the laws and info put simply on there.

BEWARE, DON'T EVEN CONFIRM YOUR IDENTITY/NAME TO THEM ON THE PHONE.

they called me about a credit card that was not paid off from the year 2000. they told me that they have been trying to subpoena me and were unable to locate and good thing that they did because i already had a court date schedule for me and that if i did not show up there would be an arrest warrant issued and that i was convicting a felony class D which meant i would serve 3 years in prison. they told me the only way to avoid the courts was to pay them 2021.23 and they needed my info right away. they also called my mothers home and told them they were calling from the police station and that they need to speaking to me urgently. i reported this to the FBI and BBB of upstate New York. when i told them they were very upset and told me if i wanted to play it the hard way we could and to wait n see what happens.

Well i fixed their conniving a**es. I recorded the phone calls from WSC. The so called investigator MARK SLOAN accusing me of two crimes!

I filed a complaint with the police and they are monitoring my phone.

Got a call from a "Shawn Ryan" stating all sorts of legal action and that he'd have the sheriff to my house in 2 hours (it's been 12, no sheriff ;) ) to arrest me.  Basically this is a bullsh*t scam used to scare you into paying them money.  Stated that he "had a docket number" for my case and everything--even though the county he mentioned the docket number is not where I live, LOL!  Anyway, before I caught on that this was a scam I did confirm the last 4 digits of my social security number with him.  I do already have credit monitoring in place so I am not too worried about identity theft but man, these guys give an Oscar worthy performance, I gotta tell you.  Well, I'm on to them now, so I truly hope they call back  :)
