Please be careful with any calls recieved from NCO or these parisites named Janina or Miranda. They are both horrible liars and will do whatever it takes to get whatever it is they need.
Get to the source when you can and always record names, dates and times when places and people like this call you.

You sound Like a rogers lacky my Guess would be you are employed by NCO as well! in fact its prolably Miranda or Janina herself well Rogers tends to push everything off on antoher dept the primary number that is called can NOT be changed at all and this is not told to the customer.
I cant count how manny calls I had where I have to tell them you have to call customer care (who realy does not care) 90% of all rogers business is outsourced and is not in fact rogers at all but companys who act on behalf of rogers. so You get pushed off to the cxc line who push's you off to tech support who might push you off to retention!
I have had 10's of thousands of accounts in my 4 years at NCO (on behalf of rogers/fido) where the customer has in fact made arrangments already but because its a dialer system it does not take them out of the system untill a day later. Or where the coustomer has been with Rogers for 4 years or more and has NEVER missed or been late on a single payment then as soon as they are late on one payment we start calling to find out when they will be paying it!
Then they was the system is set the customer will get another call the day before they are supose to make the pymnt as a "reminder call"  It is harassment if you have made arrangments already and still recieve another call and I encourage everyone this happens to to contact Rogers office of the president your local MP and if you can take the time to file a lawsuit chances are you will win! Also send a personal call/email to Bob Disante whos contact info is listed above oh or you could send it to miranda.deveau@ncogroup.com im sure she will get it there! :)
Another thing Rogers is terriable for is your first bill. say on jan 1st you started the contract there first bill would go out on the 3rd but they never send there first bills on time because its not a full billing cycle. However you would still get the calls as soon as your bill is 2 days late and of course they would blame canada post because then again it push's the blame off their shoulders!
so in closing I would just say DONT go with rogers there are so manny other more reputable cell phone companys out there now that they are slowly going down. And next time you get a call from a rogers employee have them remove your home number from file and see if you can find out exactly what company they are actualy calling from.

If you don't pay your bill, you will be called to arrange payments.
If you do not know who they are calling about and you answered on a landline, tell them to please remove the number, it will be removed.
If you do not give a firm arrangement they will call back up to 5 times in a day (Canadian law allows this, per line)
All you need to do to have the calls stop is confirm it is you, tell them the amount, the date and the method of payment and the calls will stop completely, unless you miss your arrangement.

You have to be over 18 to sign a contract with any company, so being an adult, act like an adult, take 45 seconds out of your day to deal with business you are responsible for and get it dealt with.

I agree, it's annoying as hell, but it's life, deal with the issue and it will easily go away.
The only reason the calls go out is because you're behind on your bill, and it hasn't shown in their system.

It's a simple solution, you are just making it a bigger deal than it needs to be.

If they are calling the wrong cell phone, speak to them and have them change the primary contact number.
If you're not getting your bill, confirm your address, if that doesn't work, bother Canada Post.
Just deal with the issue, that's the way to make these things go away.

In regards to your statement about receiving calls when your not a customer, what happens is a customer is required to provide an alternative contact # when they sign up for service. Weather you know that person or its a wrong # on rogers records isn't known until the situation is discussed then the # can be removed from the record if the home owner request it. Easy as that

get this.....after ignoring these calls for some time they pulled a fast one me. Rogers can call you and make it seem like somebody from your address book is calling. I picked up the phone thinking it was one of my buddies and it was Rogers....."please hold for the next rep" Total Bu***hit!

Hi I just called back this number and it brought me to Rogers Credit and Account department.  She asked me if I needed help with something and I said 'no, you called me, and i'm just calling back'  and she said 'well it looks like your account is current so we were probably calling you as a courtesy call to confirm if your address is correct'.  I have no idea why they needed to confirm my address, but I did and she said she'd make sure I don't get anymore calls from their automated service.  So maybe you can call it back and request to have the automated calls stop.  I hope this helps!

Will call incessantly. Sometimes back to back, I've even had 4 calls in a row and 12 in one day. Finally answered after being harassed for a week.

Got a call from 866-417-9498, claiming they were Rogers wireless but I verified with Rogers that this number comes from outside Canada.

They were claiming that I had an outstanding bill and wanted my credit card information.

Rogers (scum) tried calling 5 times yesterday alone... 4 times so far today!! I like so many really hate Rogers... Canada CRTC is to blame as we have only 2 monopolies to pick from - Rogers or Bell. (all others have to run using either system)... We also pay more for cell phones and internet then almost every other country in the world.

As others have surmised - it is indeed Rogers. The cycle is interesting - first a call to one's mobile and then to one's land line (if there is one on file). utomated dialing of course and it begins Approx. 17 days before the next billing cycle. This is , imho, an invasion of privacy and an abuse of the business relationship. I have been invoiced, I know  I have a bill to pay, I have ALWAYS paid my bill (for over 14 years). It is comparable to the power company flashing your lights to remind you to pay your bill.

1(866) 417-9498 has been calling me numerous times. I am dealing with an insurance company, thinking it was them, I picked up the phone when this call came in. It was ROGERS and the guy asked to speak with a person named Paul Donnelly or something and since I picked up that call they have been calling at least 4 times a day, twice in a row. I will pick up the first time and tell them they have the wrong number and the second time I tell the SAME person they STILL have the wrong number. It's so completely aggravating and it's unimpressive that they can not record that they have the WRONG number.

This is not Rogers - total scam. Had this number dial my telus phone, to ask for my roommate, who is a roger's client. He asked them to call back on his phone but they didn't even know the number. Funny, his service provider not aware of his number...SCAM!

hey taxi, my son gets these calls on his phone all the time.  the funny thing is, his phone is part of my wife's package and my wife doesn't get any calls.  Also, we do pay our bills on time and still our son gets these calls.  Can you explain this?

I've never been a Roger's customer in my life and STILL get these calls. One  from 866 417 9498 at 9 p.m. last night, one from 416 645 2105 at 8 a.m. this morning! It sounds like picking up the phone doesn't do any good. Who's had luck with stopping the calls and how?? Funny how there wasn't a comment on this site for over a year and now half a dozen in the past few weeks, maybe they've just started doing this again.

I get these calls too, and I AM a Rogers wireless customer. I pay my bill by pre authorized credit card payment every month so there is absolutely no reason for them to be calling me. They also never call my mobile number, so it can't be that important.
