calls 5 times a day.HANGSS UP!!!!

It's merely an automated feedback survey used to rate their service representatives. I switched to the AT&T u-verse package and the rep informed me that I'd get a call regarding this survey. I'm always hesitant about taking any unknown 866 calls so when I first received it, I went online to check the number out before answering. It goes without saying that this and most automated calling systems are glitchy and not entirely stable. Aside from being overly persistant in its need for my feedback, the call is not big deal and should nit be dealt with alarm if you have recently made any contact with an AT&T representative.

Thanks to others for the info on this number. I just changed my AT&T service. The 3rd time they called they left an automated message that says I can call that number if I want to participate in a customer satisfaction survey.

as in a few of the above...i made some changes to my phone service on Tuesday.... i was on a Cable phone -thru a bundling offer 9 months ago.... this 866 number showed up <Wednesday> on my callerID ....as "800 service" upon calling back i was advised that "if you wish to make a purchase and have my credit card ready - press "0ne"...and another option "TWO" about not having a credit card ready, and still wish to make a purchase'......

there was not information on the call back as to what the purchase was for or any presentation of what "costs" were envolved

sounded rather "scammy" to me....

i tried pressing "zero" several times and the >offers< were repeated (????)

Have received about 2-3 calls rom this number per day. No message is left. Very distubing!!!
Hello "NO CALL" PLEASE!!!

I keep getting calls from 866 431 0981 and when I answer, they say nothing...they call all hours

I too changed my service plan with AT&T, and since then have now gotten calls from this number atleast 4 times each day for a week now. Very annoying! Mine does register onteh caller id as AT&T, but no response onteh other end of the phone. When I called to make a complaint on this I was transferred to three different people, non of which knew what it was or why it contunued to happen

been getting these calls from Bell South at the number listed above no one is on the line so I hang up.  this has been going on  2-3x's per week and I feel this is very annoying.  what can be done?

Confirmed -- call from AT&T, after a change to your service.
Here's how to get rid of the annoying calls:
* answer the phone, wait a second, then say "Hello" loud and slow.
* after the short recording, press 1 for English
* list to another recording, wait for the words "hang up" ...then hang up.

Have been getting up to 5 calls daily for the last 2 weeks from various 800 & 888 numbers, including this one. Never an answer!!

Yes, me too. Changed service with AT&T and got a call on this number the next day - but no vmail or AT&T caller id.

I made a change to my service with AT&T yesterday afternoon and started getting calls from this number last night. I just got my 5th call tonight at 8:05pm, which I answered.  Just dead air, and finally the "if you would like to make a call" message.  I'm going to call AT&T to file a complaint tomorrow.

If this is ATT why are they hiding their identity? My Caller Id always identifies the number but shows UNKNOWN NAME. Are they ashamed of their company name, their rates, or their service?

This is an AT&T Feedback survey to question how service was during your recent contact with their company.

I've been getting 5 to 6 calls a day from this number. I terminated an AT&T telphone number to my fax two weeks ago and just discontinued AT&T long distance service on another number. How annoying.

I got a call from this same number a day after I changed services from At&T

yeah, the at&t thing is probably right. we just made changes this morning.

Number is from AT&T. They will call you the day after you make changes to your service.

Calls, hangs up and leaves no VM.
