it's a scam do NOT give them any personal info,  ecah time they call me they give me a different company name.  I have gone off on them numerous times they stop calling for a few weesk and then start all over agin.

Warning!! I keep reading all these posts and I am glad I am not alone. I feel for everyone! I have told once collection agency 10 times that I am not who they are trying to reach. I have mentioned taking legal action, yet they keep on calling.

I know we're not stupid but i just wanted to give a warning....

About 9 years ago I didn't pay off a payday loan..that was my fault...I made some agreements several years later with the company and was making small payments. Well, a while after that I get a phone call from someone saying they are a lawyer's office representing the company I was paying and they were willing to make a one time deal to cut my bill by like 75%...they just wanted the debt resolved and closed. They knew everything! My name, DOB, SS, address, where I worked..you name it and they knew it. They even mentioned a name I recalled talking to with the actual company...It sounded 100% real. I fell for it hook line sinker. They had me on the spot since they had called me at work so I was tired of it all and I guess I felt paying it off right then was best. I had owed like $400..They were willing to take $150..that day only. I thought it was a good deal...guess for them it was!  They got $150 out of me. I was promised a receipt in writing and that within 30 days the debt would be off my credit. 3 years later it is still there. I was taken for a ride. Im a single mom with two kids..paying off a bill is one thing but throwing hard earned money out to a scam is another. I feel really violated and I guess there isnt anything I can do about it. I was dumb to give them my bank account # because a couple of months later they tried to take out money again. Luckily my bank didnt draft it and notified me. I had to close my account just to be safe. So dont deal!!!!  Even if it sounds real don't buy it. If you are wanting to settle a debt, I would call the company myself first. I would make sure I am dealing with the actual place I owe and not some jerk pretending to be just to get my money.

I have never contact Children's Bond, I did not even knew these people and they been sending bills, 10 days ago a received a "final notice" from them saying I owe $100.69 this is ridiculous,  I am just so mad.....
DOES SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT TO DO IN THIS CASE???  THEY WROTE IN THIS LETTER THAT IT'S GOING TO COLLECTION IF I DON'T PAY THEM SOON...  THESE CONS HAVE TO STOP..HOW TO FIGHT THEM DOES SOMEONE KNOW? ????

These people have been calling for months.  They say "we require and immediate response.  You need to call 866-441-5558 or go online to www. pakargroup."  They are rude and persistent as  they call several times a day.  Most of the messages are automated.  A couple of times I was able to talk to someone live.  They were looking for some lady who I never heard of,  who never lived here,  who I did not know. And yet, they persist on calling with automated messages.
This is irresponsible harassment and these people should be fined, jailed and tortured with unsolicited and harassing phone calls until they get the message.

Make them stop calling!  I will call the Attorney General if it keeps happening when you try to call back you dont get through!      SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have gotten the same number the only thing that come up is that the call is coming from out of the country..

This company has called me a few times.  But they never really identified themselves as a collection agency in one message they left.  They called today.  The last time they called me was back in September when they called me twice in one week.  I didn't answer the call and they only left one message.  It's coming to the end of the year and I'm sure old accounts have already dropped off.  What do they expect to get out of me?

Here is something to marinate on, too.  If you have accounts that have reached or are about to reach the statutes of limitations (check for your state), collectors come out of the wood works trying to get you pay on theses accounts.  The sad thing is that some of these accounts may have already been resolved months/years prior or if you have fallen on hard times and just have not been able to pay them that's a different story, and it's happened to the best of us.  What we have to remember is once you talk to these people and start talking about payment arrangements, you start the collection process over again, and the nightmare begins.  If they cannot give you evidence of the debt in writing, they are violating the law in according with the collection practices.  If they continue to contact you after you have sent them a certified letter asking them to stop, they are breaking the law.  In truth I have paid off most of my accounts in the past five years.  Those I couldn't pay off due to financial circumstances, the statutes of limitations has long since been reached.  And I don't talk to anyone who cannot send me something in writing, and I don't respond to correspondence that has bogus information on it (i.e. creditor I have never had an account with, wrong social security number, ridiculous amount, an account that's been paid for over five years, etc.)  They are crafty and will try to get you pay on an account you've already paid, too.  So be careful, be educated, be protected and know your rights as a debtor.

This telephone number calls my house early in the mornings and wake us up.  Please block this telephone number from calling my  home.

I keep getting calls from this number at least five times a day, they dont leave a message.

They call about 4 times a week.  They want some unknown person and I've told them that. It's always the same guy.  I don't answer anymore and just let him leave his message.  He always uses a nasty, mean tone.  I don't know how to make them stop.  They have the wrong number but they either don't beleive me or just don't get it.  Or just don't care I suppose.

Got a msg from this number indicating that I should call back or action will be taken. For what? I have no idea. They are calling my cell phone. Said to go to www.pakhargroup.com, still doesnt help me. I dont think this is wells fargo as another post indicated.

If you do not have an account or do not jnow who they are calling about still send them this letter.  It should stop their crap.

Same thing happened to me as Ali above. Only I went to their website and all it was is an account they created with a dollar value on it, and no description of what it was for, or who it was from. They told me over the phone that it was Columbia House. I told them I DO recall ordering from Columbia House a long time ago, but I believed I resolved that account then.

I told them I was willing to pay anything I owe, but I need my memory jogged with more details about what I purchased, than just the Company name and a dollar value. I told them to send me a bill that describes the date and times of my purchase, what I purchased, and any obligatory membership details involved. I told them that if I could in fact recall owing this, I would pay it. They said, "we cannot do that."

I have plenty of money to pay this bill. However, I told them that for all I know, you are just someone that got their hands on information about me somehow, maybe my trash or something, and that I had an account with Columbia House, and you made up a fictitious site, and are trying to scam me out of money. They continue to call, and I continue to hang up. I will figure out further action later.

Received a call from this number - a James Rodrigues with the Takhar Group.  He had an indian accent and called about a dvd I supposedly purchased seven years ago.  He called asking for me by my maiden name and asked me if I wanted to settle the debt over the phone before it went to collection.  I told him I was not comfortable giving account information over the phone but that he could send me a bill.  He said that they had already sent me three (I asked to what address and he gave me my address from seven years ago) and could not send any more.  He said that I could go to their website and make a payment online with an account number and zip code that he gave me, but then I should call him and give him the payment confirmation number over the phone.  

I would have for something to go to collection - I'm not the type to not pay on something I owe.  But in truth, this seems like a scam and I'm nervous to even look at the website for fear that it will download something malicious on my computer to steal my personal identification information.

The Thakar (sp) Group keeps calling my cell phone.  Posts on the internet suggest this is a ?bogus bill collection agency.  I have no outstanding debt, so why are they calling except to scam me?

Answered call because they keep calling and I have told them before I don't know the person they are calling for.  They will not identify themselves and when I ask any questions of them they hang up.

I have received 7 phone calls from this company, called "Takhar". They say I owe $77.37 to Literary Guild. I can't get a phone # for Literary Guild. I did have an acc't with them awhile ago, and thought I had paid it.  
One guy said they were a Collection Company. The next guy said they are not a Collection Co., but a Credit Reporting Agency. I have also had a woman talk to me.  They all speak with an accent from India. They are not respectful and do not sound professional. They claim they sent me 3 letters. I did not receive anything.  
They want me to give them bank info.#'s, or a card#'s one day PRIOR to the day they will supposedly call me back to take the $ over the phone. They are agreeable to partial payments. What is to prevent them for taking whatever amount they want with my #'s??? Of course I gave them NO info.  
They won't accept a check or money order by mail.  They won't send me anything in writing because I "ignored their 3 letters".  They said it will be on my credit report for 7 yrs.
The woman said she would send me an e-mail from her company to make me believe her. It never came. How do I get them to stop calling? Anyone have any dealings with these Takhar people?

Receive multiple calls from them every week on my cell. Always at random times. Whenever I answer, no one speaks on the other line. Anyone know how to get this number blocked?

This number calls me SERVERAL times a week asking for the SAME girl which is someone I don't even know.  I have told these people SEVERAL TIMES that they have the wrong number.  I received a call from this number again this morning so I called it back to see who it was.  I listened to the automessage to see if it would tell me who it was... which it didn't so I hung up.  MINUTES later I get a call from the number again asking for the same girl saying that our number just called.  We explained to the person I called back to see who they were we told them that the girl they were requesting we didn't who know it was and that it was the wrong number they RUFUSED to believe this.  Asking for our mailing address to verify that is wasn't the same person.

People are very rude, and can't get it through there thick skulls that when you say wrong number "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSE TO CALL BACK"

I work overnights, but while trying to sleep between shifts, I get calls from these pieces of s**t numerous times a day. (2-3 on avg.) due to losing sleep I've had a couple small injuries on my job, which has been extremely luck so far. I work under and direct a crane hauling 8-12 ton loads of steel bars on and off of trucks all night long.

I can't just turn my ringer off as I also have children who are out and about during the day, and I will not risk missing anything important from them.

I've requested that these people stop calling me, and let them know that if I do get injured on my job due to their harassment causing me to lose so much sleep, there will be serious problems. Automatic weapon in one hand, and a steel bar in the other for whoever is in charge.

Not one of these worthless f***s even speaks fluent English either. It's infuriating to try and explain basic concepts to them, like "wrong number" and "that person had this number before, and now I do".

Over the years I have had numerous debt collectors call regarding s woman named Mary Flannigan (totally unknown to anyone at my address).  Some how these debt collectors seem to have our phone number.  Normally when we tell them there is no one at this address by that name they supposedly remove our number and are gone.  This time around the clowns are down right rude and refuse to act in a responsible manner.

I hope they catch this woman and put her in jail for a long stretch.

I got calls from this number several times and the one time they called and left a message and said they demand that i call them back saying that i owed like 80 dollars on books from over 7 years ago why would they be trying to get it from me now if i did owe it but i told them when i called back i sent the books back and they said they were nonreturnable
