This is Wells Fargo's shareowner services dept for unclaimed shares, dividends, etc.  The shares and funds are for companies that Wells Fargo provides services to.  This number is legit, as I just got an official notice from the California State Controller asking me to call this number to claim my property.

However, this company did not call me.  I do not know if someone else can spoof their number when calling you.  To be sure that the call is legit, you can call the number yourself to double-check.
