I recieved a call from 1-866-457-8858.  The man said i was entered in the sweepstakes then proceeded to ask for my credit card number when I refused, he asked for my Social security number.  At that point I hung up the phone.  over the next 30 miniutes I recieved 12 calls from that number as well as 1-866-437-4393 and 1-877-729-3976.

The same thing happened to me. I went along with it for a while because they said they were going to send me free stuff. Then proceeded to tell me that I owed $3.99 a week for 60 months, and I told them I wanted to cancel this "order". The supervisor said I wasn't allowed to cancel my order because I had made a "verbal contract" and that's why they record the conversations. He started yelling at me and saying I couldn't cancel. The last thing he said was "Well, I'm sorry you can't cancel. Have a nice day, bye!" So I ran to the police station and filed a police report in case the company tried to get their money somehow. I did not give the company any credit card or social security information. After filing a police report, the police said to call them if anything ever happened. About 3 weeks later, today, I got a call from the company. The "salesperson" said that I had asked them to call back to complete my order (which I did not). He was rude, again. And finally said "Well, I guess I'll have to cancel your order." Two other companies have called me saying I won some sort of sweepstakes. I told them not to call me again, and then hung up.

They called and said I was entered in a sweepstakes from Mastercard.  I didn't give them any info about my bank account. Then the supervisor got on the phone and said the same thing about the $3.99 for some magazines or something and that he had listened to the conversation (which took place at 9:00am!!!) He's named was Chevy something and he was extremely rude and then he hung up!!
