Incomming phone calls can be from anyone. This appears to be a phishing call.

We also received an automated call that claimed to be from Bank of America. It instructed us to call 866-459-5275 and enter a six digit personal code.

The end of the message said "If you are not a customer of Bank of America, and believe you've received this message in error, please call 877-430-3412"

I went to my online account, and it was all in order. No messages. My mortgage and credit cards were just fine.

It's unfortunate that some people return these calls. This phisher, will no doubt ask the return caller to verify their personal information - and the lamb will walk right into the slaughtethouse.

I received a message from Bank of America that my husband needed to call Bank of America and enter a Code in order to receive a recent status change to our mortgage account.  When we called the number it said the number we had called was invalid.
