They keep calling and leave a message saying this is Chris, call me back, I'm offering insurance.  Yeah, right, keep dreaming moron, thank goodness I have call BLOCK!

This is a verified scam. They refuse to answer any information about their company. They were calling about Mortgage Refinance and government money available. When asked what banks they refinance with they refused to answer and finally when pressed hard I was told " I have to go now " and she hung up.
Moral of the story. If they won't give you info, don't give them any either. Do not give them your credit card number, don't verify your information with them at all.

Answered a call from this number to hear a recorded message advising that I should not be concerned about my credit cards but I should contact their representative to determine whether I could lower my interest rates or not. Grrr.

I got a call from this number just now, except that it was offering a low-rate home refi program... I pressed the button to talk to someone and when she came on the line, I asked that my number be removed from the list - she hung up on me.

Ugh, I'd love to track those bastards down.

They have called and when I said hello a voice came saying that I could recieve health insurance benefit for as little as $3.00 a month and some people may recieve free dental and eye care insurance for free. They asked if I would like to continue press 1 and if I would like my number to be removed from their database to press 2. When I pressed 2, they just hang up.

I received a call from this number this morning on my cell.  I missed the call but part of the recorded message was left on my voice mail.  Supposedly some guy named Robin was hustling health insurance for just $3/day.  *Rolls Eyes*  Call back number given was 877.284.5054.

Called this morning while I was sleeping. Checked the number (the number for the student loans I use is an 866, thought I'd missed them), realized it was the same number I keep getting about auto warranty. My car is 3 weeks old and from a small enough company that they know me by name. Getting a wee bit tired of these guys.

They called my cell phone with a prerecorded message about some credit card thing. I got the usual "Press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to be removed from the list". I am on the Do Not Call registry and this type of thing is really starting to annoy me. At least the Auto Warranty calls stopped, but this type of telemarketing fills me with Hulk-like rage.

I received a call on my cell phone from 866-469-3328.  Whoever it was left no message and when I tried to return the call, I got that I have dialed a number that cannot be reached from my calling area.

First spoke to Alex gave him crap info: car's make and model, phony miles, zip code. He thought I was serious and transferred me to Shawn Johnson. Gave him phony address, phony name. He said Alex just sets up the policy but he handles the transaction. He said the policy would cost $2610.00 and they'd give me a $500 gas card. $1000.00 dollars down and $89.00 per month for 18 months. Gave him fake credit card number. He said they'd mail me my warranty info and that a sales manager would be calling back in 5-10 minutes to confirm everything. Gave me their "direct" sales number 954-449-2663 and said he'd be my rep for the next five years. Ben from the vehicle verification department called and asked for vin and mileage. Told him the car was out. He verified the fake info I'd given him (I wrote it down as I went) and said I'd also get a free bottle of engine coolant (wow...). $0 deductible on a Track Guard Plus plan. The number he called from was Nationwide Home 954-449-2900.

After I hung up, Renee called and said the card was coming up invalid. (No s**t, Sherlock). Still played along, said I just renewed it and the credit card company changed the number. Told her I'd call her back. The ID came up as Berkshire Asset, 954-449-2665. I asked her if she had a number I could call her back at and she said 954-449-2663.

No toll free number can make outbound calls. Toll free is virtual. Any time an 800 number appears on caller id, it has been reprogrammed to hide real outbound number. Whoever legitimately has number will not be using it for telemarketing as they can be put out of business for this nonsense. 800 888 877 866 numbers are used by thieves as caller id because they cannot be traced and people let their guard down. It is awful that our local carriers and cell phone providers allow this. I learned this from calls to my cell phone and lots of research. Google spoof -ed -ing ani.
