Telemarketer
We recieved a call from this number less than an hour ago. The salesman new my brother's name and said that he had requested these classes at the school he is attending. He was very rude to my mother and insisted on our credit card information. She's very cautious about these things so she asked for more information and he became very aggressive. She told him my father was the one that makes these decisions to get him off of her back. He instantly told her he had nothing else to say to her, that he would call back in an hour to speak to my father, and hung up. This is ridiculous. Please beware!!!!! SCAM! I'm guessing they got ahold of these names from the security breach. Stay away from these people! Oh and my caller ID said: Toll Free Call 1-888-260-4306

Well spoken caller asked for XXXXX's parent.  He stated my child had checked interest in SAT/ACT prep at a college fair, which is possible.  Described deep discount on program and free 30 day trial. He advised they don't take call backs on the product discount line so there is no way for me to reach him. When I objected to giving my credit card number to unknown caller, he said I could check with my bank to verify AFTER the call.  I checked out website then googled and found this comment page.  I returned to "Dominic" on the phone, said I wanted to discuss with my husband and would like him to call back.  He stated that is what the 30 day trial is for and he had given me plenty of time to decide.  When I thanked him for the call and said I would not be purchasing today the call was ended.

Additional comments:  Several attempts to call back the 866 # resulted in "all agents are busy."  He had provided a tax ID# of 392066831 and said purchase would be tax deductible.

They called  my parents saying that I had requested their program, when I hadn't.  They charged my parents $150 and labeled it as a "Donation" on the receipt.  They said we have 30 days to return it but we just got it yesterday and we're calling American Express to try to get our money back.

I received a call last week from a very aggressive salesman, who seemed very eager to have me put this wonderful study guide program on my credit card, guaranteed my daughter a particular score on her SAT or they would refund my money --and hung up on me when I asked for more information.  I wonder how he got our phone number which is unlisted, and my daughter's name.

I was actually stupid enough to buy these materials.  They called while my daughter was out of town (spring break) and said she requested them.  They lied and said there was a 30 day free trial for online assessment, but I wouldn't be charged unless she signed on.  She NEVER signed on and they have billed me 3 months in a row.  No one would respond to the phone calls messages I left, the emails I sent or my written correspondance.  I filed a dispute with my CC company and they are taking care of it.  After I filed my complaint with the CC company, someone from AES left a message that they were cancelling future charges and we would receive 3 months for free...as if I would want that.  DO NOT BUY ANYTHNG FROM THESE PEOPLE..THEY ARE A FRAUDULENT COMPANY.

I was told the information was on a trial basis for 2 months. Within 7 days there was a debit for $199.95 and a NSF for $75.00 I expect a full refund of both. This don't appear to be a "At No Cost Trial Period" to me.

They called and asked for my daughter's parents. I said who's calling?  They said "it's about the ACT".  I asked if they were trying to sell me something.  She said "you know never mind, it doesn't matter" and hung up on me.  Geez!  Next time, I'm going to say "Yes, this is her Mom" and then when they begin going through their spill, I'm going to lay the phone down and walk away.

I think this program is great! I order the program and my son did score 2000 on the SAT just like they said....Then on his final SAT he score a 2200. I really enjoy the scholarship guide as well. My son was able to qualify for 4 different scholarship and now I do not have to pay any cost. I think a lot of people complain because they are skeptical that any program out there can help their child. It is a new era. Long classes and boring books are the thing of the past. My child loves computers and did really well. I would recommend this program to any one.

I didn't get a call but a charge to my checking account for the amount of 29.86. The charge came by a check that's not mine and doesn't have my signature. Whatever they are selling don't buy I would guess it's a scam.  I haven't had a call and haven't ordered anything so I'm not sure how they got my account info.  BEWARE!!!!

I fell for this scam about an hour ago... A fast talking man called and said that my son Nick had requested this information for the computer to help him get a better SAT score.  I was dumb enough to fall for his story and told him my credit card info.  They charged me $199.99 instantly on my card even though they said we had a month to review the information and either send it back or keep it for $180.  I hit *69 and got this number back to them  888-260-4306.  I get a recording every time I call that says "You've reached our call center and all reps are busy.  Please leave your name and number and we'll get back to you."  I am sick about this!

I have gotten two phone calls from these people. The first call they asked if my parents were home using my first name and when I said no but this is her they hung up. The second call came today and my mom answered the phone. She asked why they called and they said it was in regards to the SAT, but then she asked for more info they hung up. Next time they call we are telling them that we will be contacting the  police and that they better stop calling us.

THIS IS A SCAM HANG UP WHEN THEY CALL!!!!!

Refused to answer since I could tell it was a telemarketer. Since I am on the Do Not Call list I should not be getting these type of annoying calls. These callers ned to be prosecuted.

What are you sick about? You bought a product to enhance your son's education, don't have to keep it if you don't want to.  Have it reversed and send it so you have all that free dowloading and other uses from staff  who work hard to deal with people who hate telemarketers.

I work hard to put my hard earned and believe me as much as you hate your displaced feelings go onto us who are sitting in a room being screamed at by distrusting people who assume they might be brighter or better because this recession kept them in a lovely job and they did not have to go out and be willing to even be treated bad by ignorant people who do not even know the least thing about credit card laws, how trial offers work and the provisions telemarketers must deal with.

I am polite and even kind to the loud mouthed uneducated name callers who do not know where their anger lies.  You pay for a product get to use it keep it or send it back all for a reversed transaction if you do not like it.

Call the police and ask them if you get a call from someone who explains a product to you and guarantees the product, delivers the product with percentages and proof of success with a guarantee to take it back at no charge even if we don't like the product.  We do not have to keep the product and of course all credit card companies will protect us if this were a scam and we were improperly charged.

Anyway tell the police that the product arrived on time and it was exactly what was promised.  Then we found out because we don't want to look silly that the when we  find out these people held up to their word and were not showing the type of character we were being taught.

Truth is the best character.  Learn your laws, quit calling telemarketers liars and thieves because I wake up and get on the phone at 5am just to be hung up on and bad mouthed by people who had zero desire to find truth before harassing hard working people who may seem rough around the edges.  Boy if I were to repeat the mean spirited venom that comes from the mouths of teachers, mothers, professional pretenders who yell and act as non professional as any telemarketers I have met.

I have names kept in the journal because my journal is clean and well kept.  Yours are clearly inept and mistook.

Have called numerous times. Obviously a telemarketer of some kind because when you say, "Hello" softly no one answers. Today I spoke loudly, someone came on. I said, "Who is this?" They hung up.

They call me repeatedly, and when somebody was actually on the phone when I picked up they asked for my parents. I told them it was a cell phone and the person on the other end became irritated and snapped at me saying something like, "what does that have to do with anything?" and I told them that it meant that my parents wouldn't be with me. So, they hung up. Very rude.

The above comments explain why we get these calls multiple times a day. We never answer, but we have two kids in high school--obviously, they want to solicate a test prep program of some kind. My advice? Go to Barnes & Noble or Amazon--they have more test prep kits than you can shake a stick at.
