They were able to lower my APR at US Bank from 20.24% to 16.99% for 6 months (i called the bank to confirm) and they didnt charge me because the savings were not significant (thats what they told me). Its been a month now and everything looks good. If i have any problems with any of my CCs in the future i will call them and use the services.

They contacted me a few days ago and promised me a 6.99% APR or lower. Instead the got me a 0% (!!!!!) for the next 16 months on 2 cards(BoA and Cap1). They enrolled me to a payment programme (Hardship Programme) at 0.99% for 5 years at my Chase card!!!!!!!. Finally they negotiated my intrest rate at my Sears card from 25.24% to 17.24%!!! These guys know what they are doing... They literally saved me!!!! They charged me only 798$ and saved me thousands. God bless them, i am very greatfull...

I did some work with them day before yesterday... Thing is, they DID lower my rates. I'm in a very dark place financially speaking. i've lost most of my income - had two jobs, now i only have one that is part-time... my daughter is sick and i am looking at my grandson and her coming to live with me, she can't take care of him OR work... i wouldn't mention any of this here, but they used it all with Bank of America and they got my two cards in hardship programs. fixed payment and rate (1.75%) when they were charging me 16.99% on both cards. i'm supposed to go past due for a few days on my citi so that they can put me in a hardship program with them as well. before i started to write this, having read everything you guys write, i called bank of america to confirm that they ever even called them. they said they just approved the program and were going to let me know later today. seems like they have done real work and the fee they are charging is $740 (i've already paid that, by the way). it's a lot of money to give to any company, but i calculated what i will be saving from those two accounts and it is almost $6500 in five years. if they honor the promise to work on my citi as well, it will be more. could it be that the service is only good for those who are really desperate? i'm not worried about identity theft, or them charging my cards or savings account - the cards are pretty much maxed out, my savings account is empty and my credit score sucks, they can't do anything to me...

Bill works for them. Bill Baker. American-sounding name, but I'm pretty sure from speaking with him that English isn't his first language (his numerous spelling mistakes seem to support that). Definitely a scam. Don't give them any information. They will be very pushy and try to scare you. Just hang up at the beginning and don't try to converse with them because they are good at it. They don't call it being a scam "artist" for nothing.

Whatever....you have no clue. Text messages this company sends disappear from your cell phone. A charge of $900.00 is not discussed or authorized for a fee. The telephone #s this company (carenet or care solutions) given are not active working #s. If thats not a scam I dont know what is.  I was told they would take $10000 out of my discovercard to consolidate ccs. They never even called discover card. Scam scam scam.

This same thing happened to me 11/08/13. Company name used carenet & care solutions. Same telephone #s same speal. Used diff. Names. Got me for $990. Disputing it with card company. Cancelled all my cards. What a friggin mess.  Let me know if retired fbi afent is getting anywhere with these people who are stealing from good honest hardworking americans.

JUST HAPPENED TO MY FRIEND, SHE CALLED CRYING, KNEW SHE MADE A MISTAKE.  THEY TOO GOT ON THE PHONE WITH HER CARD CO, THAN HER CREDIT CARD CO ASKED ALL THE SECURITY QUESTIONS, MOTHERS MAIDEN NAME, PASSWORDS, THINGS ONE WOULD NEED TO ACCESS CREDIT INFO.  CO -CARENET- HEARD ALL THE SECURITY QUESTION ANSWERS, THE GUY SAID SHE HAD 2 DO A CASH TRANSFER 2 HER CHECKING, MADE SENCE AS ALL HER CARDS WERE WITH THE SAME BANK, AND YOU CANT PAY A CARD OFF/DOWN WITH ANOTHER CARD FROM THE SAME BANK, ANYWAY THIS LEAD 2 THEM HEARING HER SECURITY INFO ON CHECKING ACCOUNT INFO AS WELL.  THE CREDIT CARD CO NEEDED THIS 2 TRANSFER THE MONEY 2 HER CHECKING.  THEY GUARANTEED A 0% INTEREST RATE, IF THEY COULDN'T GET CREDIT CARD CO. 2 GO TO 0% THEY WOULD GET U APPROVED FOR ANOTHER CARD AT 0% INTEREST RATE. THINK BOUT IT? HOW LONG IS THIS GUARANTEED 0% RTE GOING TO BE FORE? 6 MONTHS, 1 YR? IF YOU CURRENT CARD HAD A PROMOTION OF 0% INTEREST -THERE U GO- U GOT 0%.  THEY DIDNT DO ANYTHING FOR THE FEE. Everyone said they got calls but no one mentiones results of their calls or anything that happened after.  So this is not totally helpful in finding out if they do anything after initial call.  They unfortunately charge you for something that you can do yourself.  Lowering debt by transferring balances and getting creditors to lower the interest rate. They called me june 6, 2013 his name was Michael.   I spoke to my discover rep and he seemed to feel my credit cards should be safe from problems and that since I paid for that service I should get my moneys worth and make them continue lowering and reducing my accounts.  Still leary about it but not sure what to do.  Has anyone got more info on their experience?

This happened to me. Got a call saying they could lower my interest rate on my credit card, asked if I had any others, had my info on file. Knew how much I owed, and where I owed it, he knew how what account I had made my last credit card payment from. Asked for account number, i didn't give it to them, asked for number on credit card and bank account. Like an idiot I gave it to them. I was told that my credit would then be changed. Then I got a call from his 'supervisor,' He told me about this fee, I felt uncomfortable and stated that I wanted to cancel, He claimed that I had already approved this and that It couldn't be cancelled so I felt obligated to stay on the phone considering I thought I was charged anyway. He then called my bank, chase, and claimed he was arguing my interest rates, he got a chase rep on the phone. the rep asked if I authorized my consent like an idiot I stated 'okay' even though red flags were starting to go off. He then started asking all sorts of questions about my account, (last purchase, last payment, any late payments, excreta) then after call ended with chase, (with in a minute or two) he asked me for more information, my social security number, at that point I hung up. I then called chase and froze all of my accounts and cancelled all of my debit and credit cards and informed my bank of all of this.

Is there more action I should take? this happened this morning. Only small purchases were made from my account, two different small ones(from Denny's and Bells) and this was within minutes because I immediately called chase and cancelled everything after the phone call ended. As an extra precaution I changed all of my passwords on all of my online accounts including email and Facebook and privatized everything. I was wondering if anyone knows of further action I should take.

If you get charged the fee, file a dispute with your credit card company. This works. Last year someone stole use of my card and charge over $3,000. I disputed it and the charges were removed.

I almost did the same thing. I wasn't thinking and let the conversation continue almost to the end. Then I googled the phone number and found your post. THANK YOU!!!!! I stopped the conversation and informed Credit Card Services that I found numerous complaints by them on the internet. They tried to tell me those complaints were for a different company, but I told Linda Greene that her name was listed as a scammer and their phone number 866-505-6695. She became quiet and ended the call. I'll pray that you have a have a happy ending to your case. These people had my credit card information on file and everything. They tried to get my security code so they could bill my card. I didn't give it out but now I'll be checking my cards and bank account carefully. Good Luck

I'm glad to hear CapOne took care of you! The same thing happened to me last night. I feel like an idiot. However, the "counselor" did actually get my rate lowered on my Citi account. It took maybe 2 hours (!) but he did do it--I just called Citibank  now and they confirmed that. In fact, when I was offered 14.99% he wouldn't accept it and, eventually, I ended up with 10.99%. HOWEVER! The whole thing began with the "promise" that they could help me with my CapOne card. They charged that card $800 and, I ended up giving them my Citibank card info which they began to work on. We were supposed to continue the call and work on CapOne today, but, not surprisingly, I can't reach the guy. Cap One did me a legit tel number, though, so I left a couple of messages.
My issue is that they did not come through on the original "promise", BUT they did provide the service of lowering the par on my other card. How did you get this resolved and dispute the fee with Capital One? I called them and they basically told me to wait until the charge posts. At that time I can file a dispute. Were you recorded when you agreed to the charge? I was (at least twice). I may be out of luck.

The company name is now Logicworks, and I got called by them this morning.  Looked up their phone 360-633-9052 just in time, right before I authorized them to charge me their fee.  James Morgan was the name of the rep who called my credit card companys with me also on the line, getting info about my accounts and seeming to be interested in getting my rates reduced.  But he did not actually get any agreements made at this time.  He said he would be working on it, and get back to me on Dec 5th.  Then he switched me to Sitomi who was going to charge me $600 for their services.  I asked for a callback number and was given 877-868-5460 and ext 851.  When I call, it is a message saying that business is closed and will open again Mon-Fri. (This was on a Saturday).  At least I disconnected before they got their fee from me.

Care Net appears to be a scam.  I fell prey to this high pressure song and dance man calling
himself Adam Garcia a credit counselor offering a zero percent Capital One card.  Do not give
them any information because they are criminals. Thankfully my legit Capital One Credit Card
was on top of things otherwise I would be out $895.

These people are high pressure, at times belegerant and very not cooperative. They (high) pressure people into something that is not in the best innterest of the consumer. Immediately charge you after the phone call so as to have very little if any recourse to change your mind. When you call to cancel it they put you on with a superisor who becomes beligerant and hangs up on you. After 38 complaints to the Better Business Bureau, they changed their name and number. Wonder why!
Their call back number is a unsubscribe prompt. Be very leary and I recomend not getting into this. They do not have a web site so searching care net will result in health care sites.

I received a phone call,originally from 310-599-9208,promoting lowering my credit card interest rate to 6.99%.Several minutes later I spoke with a Jason Arnett,followed by James Morgan,confirming my lower interest rate.
Unfortunely,I was caught off guard with his "APPEALING" sales pitch.
I,like an unsuspecting IDIOT,gave him my bank account number.
He also stated,inorder to lower my card rate,he would need $596.00,with 2 payments of $298.
He needed another 1/2 hour of my time,in order to go over "A Few Things".
I mentioned I didn't have the time this evening(approx.6PM EST),October 23 2012.He will re-contact me at his office opening time of 9:30AM,October 24,2012,which gives me time to contact my bank re-this "SITUATION"

Like a dummy I went for reducing my credit card interest rates.  I first talked to Adam Berker (360) 633-9155; he was the one to get all your credit card numbers; including ATM info.  Then he has me talking to Linda Greene (888) 311-0279: she's the one that arranges payment plans...Next you talk to James Morgan at 866-505-6695; he actually gets on the phone with you and your creditors and tries to talk down the interest rates..he sounds legit..and he did get one down.  He couldn't help any more that day and was going to send out a credit card to put my other cards on in one week.  The very next day I discovered that someone had stolen over 1500.00 out of my checking acct; using my ATM card.  Who had all the info to do that. Adam Berker.  My bank was immediately notified of all that was going on. My local police dept has all their names and I'm pressing charges.  They are doing a thorough investigation.  A retired FBI agent friend is doing is own investigation..he is mad.....I was a dummy for what I did...but I am now being proactive...I am complaining every where that will listen to me...and to the BBB.This is a learning experience.  They got me on my worst pain day and going through my Fibromyalgia Fog episode; where I don't think straight...won't answer my phone any more.  lol God Bless us All
