This company is a scam.  They did the same things to me and they did not own the debt they were trying to collect on, I did the research and found this out.

This company is NOT Allstate Insurance and is NOT a scam company.  I know that they are the company that Applied Bank sends their charged off accounts to. I verfied this with Applied Bank.  If they call, do not ignore them.  Simply call them and find out what debt they are calling about, then confirm the info with the original creditor. It's very easy to do.

You're right.... looks suspicious, and nothing on Google!  And.... phone number is a cell phone.  I would stay away from this one.

I received a call from this number talking about a claim, so I called it and it was a legitimate debt I owe, BUT when I was setting up a payment plan the guy wouldn't let me use a debit card or mail a check, he said the only way they do business is check by phone. So that made me suspicious, then I told him about all these posts on here I've read about people getting money took out of their accounts unauthorized and he said "Yea well the guy that was doing that we got rid of"..WTF come on man I don't know how they got my number and debt information, but this is a TOTAL FRAUD!!!

its NOT a scamm,everyone writing bad comments is MAD because theyre broke and cant pay theyre bills & are being called to do so, your credit card was NOT a gift card! you oviously knew one day you had to pay it back..

I don't know; for some reason this guy above me looks suspicious. Could it be someone from allstate trying to trick you into calling them so you will reset the timeline of your debt? Google his name, I couldn't find any info on him. I would be carefull about contacting him.

A man called me by the name of Rob Black and left a message that I needed to call when I call I spoke with someone named Greg and he hung up on me 3 times when I asked what were they suing me for. I called back and got a supervisor that said that I just needed to make a payment arrangement but he would not give me an information on who they were he said something about Allstate these people are rude and will not give you enough information to track them.

I HAD MADE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS W/ THESE PEOPLE AND HAVE DETAILED DOCUMENTATION ON WHAT THOSE WERE, HOWEVER THEY JUST TAKE MONEY OUT WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT AND FOR HOWEVER MUCH THEY WANT.  I CALLED BEN MOORE THIS MORNING AND HE WAS NOT ABLE TO EXPLAIN AND WAS NOT WILLING TO HELP ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. They called me and left a message telling me that there was an ongoing investigation in Texas about fraud. This is the first that I have heard of this and on top of that it did not sound very professional.

This place is a scam.  A person named Mr. Green called and left a message on my cell phone saying he was calling from Allstate car insurance and that I should call back regarding a claim for an accident I put in for.  He gave me a claim number and all. When I called back, the person who answered the phone would not give me any information.

this call came in today 9/11/08 and ( karen redman from allatate complaince department)needed to talk to him before the end of the day. that a case file was put on her desk this morning with a case # and to call 866- 508-187 when i call back they answered the phone (Allstate) I asked if they were allstate Ins, the woman asked if i had a ex.# 1161 that she could direct me either way. Nothing like thinking that's there a problem with your car Ins, when their protraying themselfs as allstate!!!!!  The person on the ex.#  was Ken Redman.( Ken--- Karen Redman) whats that all about??? Well they will have to get in line. Out of work and my  husband had a work injury  and then a  heart cath with 2 stents put in, things are not getting any better right now.   I called my allstate agent  he said he never heard of any complaints about this kind of call.  So i'll call the main office so they can here the message.

well i thought they were a bunch of bs and i didnt pay much attention to them. well i guess im the one that learns the hard way. They do have a legal department and i how have a lein on my home for not paying my debt. Dont get me wrong, i think they are a little to rough when calling people, but there definatly is some bite to their bark

A Sandra King from All State Financial Corp. called stating that I needed to immediately respond to her voice mail about a case going to lawsuit, and that she is the assistant to legal operations in the legal division.
I would personally assume that if there was SERIOUS legal action being taken, their sole source for infroming me wouldn't be left to being a voicemail on a cell phone.

Don't get suckered into what they tell you. They are not a law firm. Also, be careful of people on these forums that say to call them, or to do as they say as these folks are just trolls from Allstate. Know you're rights and the FCRA. Nearly everything these pricks do is illegal. Record their calls to you. In most states it is perfectly legal to do so, if a one party state. All of this can be found in the internet. Send them nothing and know the statute of limitations for debt (written and oral) and how your state tends to handle these. If the SOL has run, send them a C&D and never ignore the dunning they are required to send you within 5 days of verbal contact. Reply to the dunning letter with a debt validation immediately and send via certified return receipt requested.

Know your rights and don't get bullied by these POS.

DO NOT LET THEM DRAW A DRAFT CHECK FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS THEY WILL CONTINUE AFTER YOUR DEBT HAS BEEN PAID.  I AM STILL FIGHTING TO GET MY MONEY BACK. AND CLOSING MY BANK ACCOUNTS TO BLOCK THEM..A DRAFT CHECK CAN BE PROCESSED AT ANYTIME.... IF THEY WANT MONEY THAT YOU MAY HONESTLY OWE, THEY WILL ACCEPT A MAILED CHECK WRITTEN BY YOU.

from what i know they are a legal firm and deal with fraud charges and file non payment suites, a friend tells me they sued him

A man named Mike Reed called and left a message for my husband saying he was with the Corporate Offices of Allstate.  We don't do business with Allstate so I am not sure what this was about.
