Just got a missed call from this number. Funny thing is, I work in a call center, and the group of cubicles across from me are working on doing these same calls...for McCain. It's bad enough I have to hear them making calls for McSame all day, now I'm getting harassed on the phone from some more McSame campaigners?

If this isn't a scam, it may be an Obama ploy to repel McCain supporters by leaving silent calls that will be traced to his name, or offensive messages that will repel voters.

You need to call your legislators and complain, complain, complain.  If they are political or charity, they are excluded from the DO NOT CALL LIST.  This needs to be stopped and ONLY YOUR VOICE TO YOUR LEGISLATORS WILL DO IT!  I have complained in my state to the Attorney General.  I got a call soliciting funds for Breast Cancer and I asked them to stop calling me.  The woman chewed me out!  I must not understand the importance of this, I was a woman it was in my best interest yadda, yadda, yadda.  It was awful and they call me constantly.  We need to get this stopped through our legislators.

I bet this is a scam.  The McCain campaign is being scammed by a telemarketing outfit who have a contract to make calls on his behalf, and are paid according to the number of calls logged.  The contract says nothing about whether they actually speak, so they simply set up an autodialler to silent-call all the numbers in the book, then send John a fat bill for the "work".

Give it a rest, it'll be over i a few days....

This number called me today, and as with everyone else, left no message, just an open line.  I called McCain @ 703-418-2008 and talked to a young lady who said that I was the second call she had received, and that she would check into it as she doesn't think it's one of their numbers.

You guys are complaining about it being the McCain campaign calling constantly...yet I get a call from the Obama Koolaid drinkers 5 times a day and 2 flyers from Nobama daily also.  So from the ol' democrats I am harassed by phone AND mail.

Got a call from this number and it was an absolutely vile message from John McCain's campaign of hate and lies. Wow. Really vile stuff.

Just got the call from 866-520-5769.  Am on the Do Not Call list *and* have an anti-solicitation feature on my line from Qwest.  Automated message, the anti-solicitation cut off most of the message (thank you, Qwest), but I was able to hear the last bit about "ooh, Obama is scary, let's all pretend the GOP hasn't mucked up the country enough and give them another chance."

I always thought the GOP was fairly good at campaigning; this latest effort is a joke, though.

I have been receiving calls from this number too.  It's a recorded message paid for by John McCain talking smack about Barack Obama.  This does not impress me as an undecided voter!  It's like John McCain is prank calling America.  This must have been Sarah Palin's idea!  Very desperate attempt to get votes.  What gives him the right to think he can call my house with this nonsense?  I'm on the no call list!!!

My 80 year old mother is a registered Democrat in NC and she received a call from this number telling her they were calling for John McCain and that she needed to vote for him, not Obama, because Obama was a terrorist.  My mother immediately hung-up on them.  I called this number back and it went straight to voice mail.  I left them a message, but I doubt I will hear back from them.  It was a waste of their time if they targeted her because she is a white senior citizen in NC, because she is NOT voting for McCain.  She will cast her early vote on Moday for the Obama/Biden ticket.

It's the Republican National Committee, and they've done this to me as well.  Unfortunately for them my cell phone number is on the national Do Not Call registry and they've now been reported to the feds for violating that (I've been on the registry for well over 31days).  If you want to manually remove yourself from their "spam" calls, dial their membership services line at 202-863-8743 and give them your number.

25 more days of spam phone calls. I'm registered with no party affiliation (DEMs and REPUBs are both full of sh*t) in Charlotte, NC so I've been getting several calls a day from different groups leaving messages.

Funny thing is, its all Republican groups and candidates leaving messages. Hmmmm......

Same as the rest of you.  No one on the phone when they call, and calling the number yields a recording which tells me to log on to McCain/Palin 08.  It is 8:00 on a Friday night.  They need to understand that this is going to cause me to think about their competition in a GOOD way.

they call 3 times a day... i kept answering it... no one talking. sometimes i didn't pick it up to see IF anyone will leave the message, but, no one talked. but, my answer will keep 'beep' all day long....  so, now, whenever i see this number, then, I just pick it up and hang up. treat them like they treat me. sounds not nice, but, they are TOO MUCH, kept calling and saying no words.
