This company tries to steal your identity and they go by different names.  They have credit card numbers address's etc. and they are always african americans.  They say they are Buyer's Edge, Target, starcrest etc. I want to know who these people are because I feel my identity etc have been stolen.  The problem is this number is only a call center where many companies work.

Got a call from this number telling me that with my bank card I purchased a subscription for something and two Girls Gone Wild dvds. The caller said "All I need is a few okays from you to confirm the cancellation of this subscription or they will charge you for a full membership. I just need to go through three simple steps with you to cancel this subscription." Needless to say I had checked my bank statement not even 12 hours prior and hung up without saying "Okay" to anything.

I work for a company and I have been getting these calls for about 2 weeks now.  I don't answer any 800 number calls but for some reason they made a mistake and left a message on my voicemail.  Does anyone know of a number that I can forward this voicemail to?  Email me at jenni_babi18@hotmail.com

Thank you

My policy is to hang up upon hearing what I even think is a recording. As with someone else above, they screwed up one time and I actually got a human on the other end. She talked very fast (as people on the cum are prone to do). When I asked her to slow down (her rate of speech), she got flustered and started to repeat what she had said initially. I interrupted her and asked her if she was selling something. She said no, then immediately hung up.

Not that I care, but she was African-American. I don't know about anyone else, but between her rate of speech and severe ghetto pronunciation (Ebonics), it would have been hard for her to scam me as I could understand little of what she was saying. I'm not sure how this could work for the scammers, but then, I guess they just do the numbers.

I'm not all that surprised. When one lives in a country where damn nearly everything seems to revolve around money, you can't blame folks for believeing that there are no rules; that anything goes; and that we're not accountable for how we treat our fellow humans.

It is tragic to see how America has been brought low over the past 35 years; a far cry from the nation this immigrant grew up in and loved.

I took the time to punch the # into Google in after a series of calls started arrivng after New Year's. In my case, a no-longer-trusted friend (whose judgment of others turned out to be other than top-drawer), suggested I order a few of Kevin Trudeau's books, which I did, not bothering to Google him beforehand. Turns out, the man is a nonpareil con man. Since my order, I have been deluged with solicitations, robot-calls, and the like. As soon as they discover you have a brain, and use it, and are not intimidatable, they hang up. All cowards do.

I am averaging a call a day since the 9th. My advice is to check your phone's screen and simply don't answer. Robodialers are programmed seven ways to Sunday, including to stop calling if you don't answer after so many calls or so much time.

This caller would call me 4 times a day. Whenever I pick up, they would hang up.  They are not a machine since I have Telezapper, and it should have blocked them if they are machine. I believe that if they are intimidated by your voice, they will hang up. Whenever, my dad picks up, however, they would ask for a particular name. I believe they are fraud and out to steal your information. I suggest that whenever you see this number pick up and hang up before they hang up on you.
