I received a text message from this number this morning. It was Career Network, the job board I had used to apply for a couple jobs. It was a pre-screening for a Customer Service position I applied for a couple days ago. It's a good thing they contacted me because it seems like I mis-spelled my email address and the Verification Specialist got it corrected and sent my application on it's way to the employer. It's a pretty cool service they do for applicants at Career Network.
Thanks **Fingers Crossed for the position** ;)

The company claimed to be who called, they seemed to steer the conversation to education and asked me about why I'm not pursuing a degree. I explained without a degree, I've worked for 3 of the Fortune 5 companies at a similar salary to the deg reed individuals and they quickly got off the phone. Are they selling an On-line Degree? Anyone who got further in the conversation, please fill me in.

I got a text from these guys as well. They did ask about my education but any interview I've ever been on asks about that. Everyone is so Skeptical now a days. After they asked me about my education I told them that I had been thinking about it and we moved on to a few more questions about when to reach me and how much I wanted to make.

No one pushed me into anything. Some people should keep an open mind.

I also received a text message, saying that they need me to call them for a job that I applied. I am not quite sure about calling back, I did apply for a job, my mistake because after I submitted the information, I googled the webpage and nothing-nada. Now they are sending me spam emails with different positions that aparentely pay better than the gov.

I replied to the text with "STOP" and immediately received this: "CellTrust: This message confirms that you have discontinued this service. Questions contact 1-480-515-5200 or support@celltrust.com"

I'm not messing with any of it. Sounds like a scam and I don't trust it. Call me a skeptic, but I'd rather work for a company that doesn't seem so shifty.

I've received the text messages and calls as well. My call entailed the same thing, but the guy didn't sound real after a while. He kept talking as if pre scripted not to even listen to my answers after I stated I already had a degree. They have a few numbers: 1-888-955-5571, 1-408-515-5200, and the bogus phone call comes sometimes from (312) 878-5578. They present themselves as or being with: Career network,Career Institute,Cell Trust,& MyEdu411.com----- Unfotunately as stated by most of you, Yes this is a scam operation.Look up any of the info I've given especially the (312) number and you'll find others who've been annoyed by these people.

So, this morning I received a text message from "careernetwork," as most of you, to call their 1(877) number for this position that I actually applied to. I did call them and I just got off the phone with them. I answered their questions (mainly verification that my information is correct and education) and when she was done I asked about who this employer would be that my information was being sent to. She said "this is a very good question, but because there are many people applying for this job the employer chose to be kept anonymous, but if they do consider you for the job any further contact will be directly from them." Good answer, aye? All I could say was, "okay." We'll see what happens. My expectations are not very high since I've been reading so much on how it could be some scam, perhaps it is, maybe it's not, I don't know.

I got a text about the position I applied for a week ago to call back. When I did, the phone systems were down and they asked that I call back again. Once I called back they said it would take anywhere from 10-45mins for the pre-screening. I was suppose to call today but after reading this, I won't.

I got this same text and called today. they said it could take anywhere from 10-45 minutes. Asked me about some stuff and then asked about my highest education level. I said twice and am still in college. It had not even been 5 minutes and they said thank you, your information will be forwarded to a hiring manager for the airline passenger service position you applied for and they will no longer be contacting me. I am a little worried. All the information they have is my name phone number and address but it does not take much to get a hold of someones personal information these days. Should I be concerned??? Someone tell me some good news here please....

Hey everyone...I applied online for a human resources position and I received a text just like everyone else.  I had a feeling that this was fishy because when I applied for the position I ended up filling out the my information twice.  That seemed really odd.  After reading your comments, it seems that this is a scam and I am worried about the information that I sent out.  Thanks for your comments b/c I am not going to call the 866 number. I already sent STOP to the text message.  Please report if anything happens with your personal information.  Pretty sad that someone out there is taking advantage of the economic situation.  A--holes.  Thanks all.

Dan I think you should check this site out: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-646-360-1693

there's a person on there that got a text from the same group. The company is a joke. It's all a scam to get your information.

Sorry to rain on your parade. These people are do***ebags feeding off of all the unemployed people out there struggling and looking for jobs.
