The call was from Comcast. You are denying it because you think of Comcast as a basically reliable business. This is definitely not the case one year later. My experience has been different from yours. I have left Comcast for multiple good reasons and am now trying to get my Comcast bill paid. I do not appreciate telephone harassment of that type and will report it. If your experience with them continues to be good, you are lucky.

I get multiple daily calls from this number but no one leaves a message. How can I stop these calls to my cell phone?

I keep getting calls from this number; they occasionally leave a recorded message, claiming to be Comcast. I don't have a Comcast account and never have.

I receive calls from this numbet almost every day. It is so annoying. I called them back and they wouldnt give me any information since I am not the account holder. I told them no I am not the account holder yet you are calling my phone. I requested to have them remove my number from their list. Then I called Comcast and gave them the number that keeps calling. Comcast said that the number is to a telemarketer. They put my number on their Do Not Call List.

And I should add, that they were able to give me my name right away from my phone as it is listed as the one on the account. I did call the 800-COMCAST number afterwards to find out why I was getting calls even though I had been told last week that my account was closed and had a zero balance. The lady confirmed that my account was closed and that I actually had a .17 credit. She stated that my service order for closure had been processed but for some reason had not been totally closed. The number I had been getting calls from was a legitimate number and I was called in error. She finalized the closure order and ensured me that I would not receive any other calls or bills. I will come back and post if they keep calling.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks. I finally called them back and they asked me to hold. Then someone came on and told thanked me for calling Comcast. I told them I was returning a call and she stated that they had called in regards to a past due bill. I gave them the date my service was cancelled and the name of the person I spoke with several days earlier who had confirmed I had no balance due on the account. She thanked me and hung up. She was not rude, however, she did seem to hang up the phone rather quickly when I provided details including dates, names AND times called. I guess we will see if they call again.

I don't believe their all legit calls for a second, some may be, but my phone number is in the hands of way to many "robocall" companies to believe their from comcast. Also, comcast issued a scam alert in January regarding this exact thing. I think scammers are impersonating comcast simply to get your credit card information. Never ever give your credit card to anyone that calls you, no matter what.

It's legit, its Comcast letting you know you have a past due bill. It's a courtesy call, which I appreciate.

I'M NOT LATE WITH OUR PAYMENTS! IN FACT WE ARE A MONTH AHEAD IN CREDITS, SHOULD AN UNLIKELY EVENT EVER OCCUR. YOU PROBABLY WORK FOR THEM! WHAT'S WRONG? THEY DON'T PAY YOU WELL ENOUGH EITHER? KEEP YOUR DAMN COMMENTS TO YOURSELF! IN FACT, HIDE UNDER A BIG ROCK!

that would be comcast calling to remind you to pay your bill.

Comcast collections. As soon as your bill is past due you start getting these calls. Pay my bill online and still get the calls for several hours after until your payment goes through the system and they can see it has been paid. then the calls stop until the next time you are behind. If you are getting these calls you usually have 5-7 days to pay your bill or the past due amount before they cut off your service .

outsourced jackoff paid by comcast to slam our phones anytime you fall behind not being 30 days ahead on your cable account. If you want this to stop you better relect president Obama! This is no different than sending our jobs over seas, they outsource this nonsense so they won't be liable if their sued.

Random must work for Comcrack......
Random 2012-01-07 01:07:33 Unknown
It is Comcast, you are behind on your bill. So many people in this thread are complaining about the calls, but you entered into a contract saying you would pay on time, and you didn't. You'd want to know where your money is if you were in their shoes. Own up to it, and don't whine about what is your fault.
What What 2011-12-30 19:31:05 Unknown
It is comcast and if you call them in the evening your call is directed to agents in other countries. Nice to know people are struggling to find jobs and one of the biggest cable companies can't even make jobs needed for people who have their service and make them who they are.

Comcast - I pay my bill timely but they call every three days for approximately $30 of disputed late fees. If comcast is that hard up for money that they need to call every three days over $30 I think it is time to change my service. Sounds like they must be having severe cash flow issues.

I'm not that far behind with comcast, yet they are now calling like a collection company from multiple numbers. They must really want me to switch to a dish company (o;

I just received a call from this number and I called them right back. They answered with "please hold for the next available agent". I held on until an agent came on the phone and he said thank you for calling Comcast. He told me the $ amount I needed to pay in order to reactivate my service and I told him I would call the 800-CAM-CAST number to make a payment. He said that wasn't a problem. I called the 800-COM-CAST number and they told me the same $ amount to have my services turned back on, so I guess this 866-541-2905 is a real number for Comcast. I still would call the 800-COM-CAST number to make any payments just to be safe or even get the amount from the guy that calls you and go online to make your payment.

So I've been receiving a call from this number for a few days now. They leave a voicemail simply stating another number and "for your account." I called the number that came up on my caller ID on my phone to reach what appeared to be Comcast Billing, I did not provide them with any information as I did not trust them, I ask why they were calling and it would seem that they only call people when your account is in
danger or has a delinquent payment. I then hung up with them and proceeded to call 1-800-Comcast (the comcast number I knew I could trust) and it would seem that I did have a delinquent payment. As soon as I opened the account 2 months ago, I signed up with auto pay. Well apparently it takes 2 months for it to fully take effect thus the delinquency of my first payment. Fortunately, they were able to put a note on the account and waive the $5 service fee when paying over the phone because if you are signed up for auto-pay you are unable to use the "make one time payment" feature on the website. My advice if you receive a call from this number don't waste your time calling them back, simply call 1-800-Comcast and verify everything is ok. If you do call them back I still wouldn't provide any information despite them knowing of my bills delinquency.

It is Comcast. Apparently when your account is due this is the number that calls you and leaves you a message. Unfortunately thee recording does not state Comcast. It does leave you another number to return the call 1 888-636-0709. you call that an another recording that does not say comcast. Then a person picks up and says Comcast. This must be thier collection division. I pay my comcast bill late all of the time so I always get this call.

I received a call from this number. The message said they were Comcast. I called them back and they asked for my phone number. I gave it to them, but refused to give my name. (If they were really Comcast, they would recognize my account from the phone number.) They claimed I owed an amount on my account. I do, but the amount they stated was incorrect. I thanked them and hung up. I'll wait to see if they call back.

This number called and hung up/no message. I called it back, got a generic on hold message/didn't identify. I waited and the person answering gave the usual "thank you for calling Comcast" and I hung up. This must be their solicitation line.
Rae 2011-07-19 17:11:52 Unknown
In my experience Comcast doesn't outsource their calls to customers, Comcast has a recorded system that leaves a message whether or not you answer the call, I suspect this 1.866.541.2905 is a scam and I would not give them ANY information.
