They called once, but did not leave a message.

They called again in a few seconds and identified themselves as representing a company named "Virtual Causeway". I asked them why they could not be bothered to leave a voicemail. They did not answer this, so I told them to never call me again.

These people have called several times a day all week.  I answer and a few seconds later they hang up. I am on the DNC list, yet they still call. I'm beginning to think these scumbags are taking their numbers off the DNC list as it doesn't seem to slow them down one bit from calling me.

This number calls me everyday around the same time. I answer the call and it disconnets and when you call back, it not a working number.

Recieved two calls this morning from this number as reported on caller id.  One blank message left

calls constanly, hardly speaks any english, she said she was with century link to update my info, told her NO updating needed and hung up ,, I had read in previous posts that if you say yes to anything you could be scammed , I wish something could be done about these annoying calls

I recieved a call telling me that they where with the centry link and wanted to update my service for free. i told her to mail me paperwork and i would send it back, she then hung up on me. I then called back a couple times and was hung up on.

Received several calls from this number; but when I return the call, it rings and then disconnects.

I answered and the lady sounded like she was from India. She told me she was from "Holy Listings". we are a church and she said she wanted to confirm our info to list it online. I used to work fo a book store and scammers would call and have a special system set up to where if you said the word "yes" then they will send you a bill for acitvating an account with them.

Getting calls from this number at my business line. Asking for the IT Manager. Definitely not a person here by the name they ask for. Completely bogus.

I have been receiving many calls from these guys and some others with toll free caller ID numbers over the past few days. I was told they were calling me to update my "free" yellow book phone listing information. But I know from past experience what they are really tring to do is to "sell" you phone book ad listings or other paid promotional services. These are telemarketers calling everyone they can and have no regard for people who are listed on the national do not call list. I have been on this list from when it was first created. Shame on these people. Get a real legal job and quite harrasing us.

I am supposedly on the Federal DNC- DO NOT CALL List and still get spam calls and hang-ups like this dumb company...beyond irritating.

A person calling from this number left a  5 second "blank message" I could hear muffled noise in the background.  I did not return the call.

My officemates and I have gotten these calls 3-4 times a day for the past week or so.  When we pick up, it sounds like there is a connection, but then after a second or two, we get dead air.
This is a State agency -- there's no way they could be trying to sell us something, huh?  What a nuisance, though.

My answering machine takes care of them/caller ID. Plus if the NSA
can track regular people they should not have any problem finding
the callers. Please save all answer machine recording for FCC too.

I found out who is making these calls.  I have sent three of my goons to their addresses.  when they find the principals, and if they are out of the USA, I will then order their offices destroyed.  problem will be solved.  If within the USA, will initiate legal proceedings of various fronts: tipping off the IRS, getting their licensing and permits revoked, tailing them for evidence... etc.

FINALLY got someone to answer ... they said they were with the "Local Yellow Pages" and wanted to update my information but their English was so bad, there was no way in HECK they were from my local yellow pages.... what they don't tell you is that if you say YES to any of their questions, they will use this to CHARGE you on your local phone bill up to $500 for something you will never get.  I told them stop calling AGAIN (for the 10th time), we'll see if threating to report them to the FCC and local government worked. Probably not. These guys are annoying as HECK !!

I mentioned this in another complaint log like this one. I get this call almost every day at around 3:15PM SO I tried some fun back at this person. I answered "Hello US Attorneys Office southern district how may I help you. They paused and said they had the wrong number and I asked who it was calling.
They sounded nervous and said they were calling a friend - clearly a lie by how it was said.  I told them they were in violation of federal statutes for making interstate harrasssing calls and calling numbers on the federal register for DoNotCall listings and the fine for that is 25,000 and possible imprisonment. If it persists we will take action. Now if this is a school kid on a free toll free line somewhere - they may be scared BUT if they read this and know its a hoax they will do it again.

I answered this number when it rang and they asked for my husband I told the person who called that I could not understand her and she said thank you and hung up. I called the number back and it rang twice and then dead air but I could tell the number was still connected. I have my home number on the Do Not call List and they still call

Called and said they were from localareayellowpages.com.  Said they were updating my free listing.  Went to site and saw that its not free.

Number called me 15 times in 2 hrs on my work number, called it back, it rang 3 times, then dead air.  Please someone identify who these scumbags are !!! They are taking my time away from my customers.

Received a call to my cell phone, rang three times then hung up. no message.

They called, asked for someone who doesnt work here - then wanted to get a general name of someone to talk to. Wouldn't verify who they were or where they were from and said they'd keep calling back. I told them to take this number off their list, I'm sure they will call again.

Called and hung up when I answered. Did the *69 got the number and called back. A lady answered and I asked who she was, she asked me who I called, when I told her that someone had called from that number she told me that I had the wrong number. Getting really irritated at these hang up calls!

Called but hung up when I answered. I called back within a few seconds and got a number disconnected recording. Someone please identify this caller and help shut them down - they are probably some telemarketing scum sending out an invalid caller ID. This should be illegal.
