Got the first call today. Woman talked really fast and made it seem she was calling from Network Solutions and wanted to renew our account.  Since I had pulled all my accounts from NetSol ages ago, I told her I didn't know what she was talking about. As she spouted more nonsense about calling to confirm our address 3 months ago, I told her she couldn't have because we had moved from that address over a year ago!  She went on about it was going to cost $498 to cancel our listing, so I yelled at her that I didn't agree to any listing and I wasn't going to cancel it either.  She said she could have someone call us back this afternoon, and I told her to have her lawyer call us back. We'll see what happens.

Same thing happened to me. The first time they called and said that we bought their services for $495 and I told them that I don't remember ordering it. Then they said that my husband did. They played a recording of what sounded like Brad ordering the services. I thought it was very suspicious. They told me that they would also need verbal confirmation to exit out of our contract. So I agreed (I don't know why). It was me saying my name and information so I could cancel it. They called a couple of days ago and said that I ordered the services and when I asked to listen to the recording it was my voice, but it was me when I was canceling it and they made it sound like I was ordering their services. I went online to see what it was they offered and I couldn't find them on google. Even when I used their name and phone number/address. So then I looked on the invoice they sent me and found their website. Their website is just a picture of a globe and a couple of bullet points with just a paragraph of services. Which I guess is a directory. I found the directory and you have to put your name in exactly or the phone number. I found myself and all it contained was my business name and phone number. The lady on the phone from the company said that she was going to send me to collections and if I contacted the BBB. The BBB would give me a fine for putting in a false claim.

I also got a call from the 9455 number this morning  claiming they needed my billing address to mail the "final bill" for an online directory my company   allegedly ordered for $498.  Saying that I cancelled the 2 year contract a few months ago and I owed them for the last year of services.

Well, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY ADDRESS EITHER!!!  Finally got a call for him to play the recording after I told him a week ago it did not exist. He played it and it was NOT me ordering the service, but me confirming my office address FROM THE LAST CALL WHEN THEY ASKED IF I WAS FROM MY COMPANY AND THEY WERE TELLING ME I OWED THEM THE MONEY! They nicely edited out the parts where I told them I did not order it because I don't order those services.

You can imagine the screaming match that went on after that! I told him that was not proof of me ordering anything and he could record me saying I was calling a lawyer.

Received the same call today from the 5720 number.  A woman demanded payment for the past years of service.  I refused saying that absolutely no such agreement existed and she simply hung up on me.

This company is now using a new number 877-855-5720.

Same company. Net Listing Solutions. Same story as above. The called. said that I had ordered their services. I don't use these kinds of services. I told him I don't remember ordering it. he says it must have been set up error on their side or maybe I thought it was something else.

He wants to bill me $498.00 the last year of service I supposedly used. Sending me a bill is mail fraud and a federal offense.

I was just called with exact same info, they gave me the same website and that no one uses the yellow pages any more.  That everyone uses their phone. The best part.is the website doesn't come up on my android.
Even if it was true it would be worthless SEO.

Just got a phone call from "Jim" saying that my owner subscribed to their service last February and that we indicated a couple of months ago that we would not be renewing. "Jim" was calling from the "billing" department. He asked for me by name saying that my owner had told their company to direct all communications to me. They want to bill me nearly $500 for services rendered. Their company's name is "Net Listing Solutions" which sounds very much like "Network Solutions" , the company that hosts our website. Anyway, after I confirmed that there was no relationship between the two companies, I became suspicious, as I have never heard of them before. "Jim" claimed that they have a recording confirming our authorization of the subscription. I questioned why they were invoicing me at the end of the subscription. I was told that it was to give my company the ability to make changes to our listing free of charge while we were a subscriber. That didn't make any sense to me. I once again told "Jim" that we had never authorized this "subscription" and that without any signed agreement/contract that we would not be paying them. He became defensive and said he would kick this back to the advertising department. I asked for his phone number. He would not give it to me but directed me to their website. I looked at it briefly, and it looks very amateurish. I then found this bulletin board which confirms my suspicions that this is a scam. I am still waiting to hear from the advertising department. I called the phone number associated with the above postings - you are answered by a recording that says the number is used only for outgoing calls and to please call a different department using a phone number that had been provided.

This is criminal and a big waste of my time.

They just called me and i wasn't sure what they were talking about, their website looked a little suspecious and they kept saying i was the one who had gotten a subscription with them about 6 months ago and it was time to renew, but i had sent a request to cancel one month ago. I told them i didnt even work here then, and asked everyone in the office if they knew this company.  It is a scam, they try to get your money and if you dont give to them, the hang up saying will call back with more info, and never do.

BE CAREFUL!!!

I just got a call from this company a few minutes ago, threw me for a loop as I did not recall and found no evidence in my possession of ever having been in-touch with them for any services. I am glad I found this site while trying to figure out who they really are.  Same number as you all 866-562-9455 called me, what a scam.

I received a call from someone who said the name of their company is Network Solutions.  Their website is www.netlistingsolutions.com     They said they were calling because I had called about cancelling my service for the upcoming year.  And it was time to pay $495 for my last year's service.  I told them I didn't have their service.  They insisted I did.  I got passed from person-to-person on the phone.  I told them I have no signed contract and no email confirmation of having their services.  They said it was a verbal contract over the phone which I told them I didn't think was legal.  They said it is legal if it is under $1000.  I don't believe that.  They said they don't bill until the end of the year because they "trust" their customers.  HA!  They gave me the website for me to check and then called me back.  I told them that the website didn't have any value to me.  All I did was type my company name or phone number into the search and it pulled up my company.  I asked them how that would help people find me if they didn't already know the company name or phone number.  It was information they could have gotten anywhere on the internet.  I told them I want to hear the recording.  I don't expect to hear back from them.  They can send me their bogus invoice but they are not getting paid!

Another scam, this time they are harrassing people and threatening them will law suites, bad credit reports, etc. This is a serious scam, and there should be legal action taken against these people. They were american sounding so its not an overseas scam. They insist that you pay, and threaten you, that is extortion. This is criminal activity

scam claiming I owed 500 bucks. I clearly stated that I had no idea who they were or what their company was. She walked me to the website where I searched my small business and it had only basic information which struck me odd. She then gave me a time limit as I got aggravated claiming that I had no idea who she was or what company she was with. She eventually got mad as I figured it was a scam and egged on the situation. She said I need to look at the site and inform myself of the services they have offered and hung up.

well.  I guess i was wrong.  They just called me back at my work, asked for me by name AGAIN, and attempted the same strong-arm BS to get me to give them billing information.  WHAT A SCAM!!  It was not a manager, not the same lady, or anyone else who could give me any idea about who they are.  This time it was a man, he was forceful and seemed irritated that i wouldn't just give him a credit card.  He can go home disappointed tonight, because that idiot won't be getting anything from us today!  I actually feel bad for these people...having a job that requires them to spend 8hours a day trying to lie and con people out of their money!  What horrible karma they must be building.  I bet, statistically, that these people have shorter life spans and a higher incidence of tragedy and trauma in their lives than the average person.  Then again, maybe they sleep just fine...

DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM! YOU DON'T OWE THEM A DIME, AND THEY HAVEN'T GIVEN YOU A SINGLE SERVICE!!!

Some guy from this number previously tried to run the same sort of scam on me.  Of course, I declined but I must have pissed him off as now he calls me, asks for me by name and then just hangs up on me.  What can we do to stop this?

I got a call from this number at my workplace, and they asked for me by name.  I am the Sales Manager and i  have also been helping my father (the owner) increase his web-presence through the creation of a new website and some other services through a trusted provider.  I confirmed that i was "Carsen O'Neill" and the woman began to "fast-talk", for lack of a better term,  about how she needed our payment and billing information for the services we supposedly ordered last November. I was very polite, as is always my nature when dealing with people who are just doing their job, and i asked her to explain exactly what these services were that i was being billed for because i couldn't recall ordering them.  She said that her company hosted a directory of some sort, and that for a one-time-a-year fee, they had placed our business listing at the top of the list.  I was sitting at a computer at work when she called, so i asked her to give me the domain of this directory so i could try and ascertain what it's value was. The woman told me that she was calling from "netlistingsolutions.com" .  I pulled it up on the computer and all i found was a home page featuring a spinning globe with sub-panels explaining what the company's directives were and so on--basically just a "dummy site".   I asked her where i was supposed to find our company's listing.  She said that, and i quote, " i haven't worked here very long, and i don't really know how to answer that, all i know is that we gave your company a top listing that showed up at the top of the page"...I asked her what "page" she was talking about and she started to again insist that i just give her our billing information so she could send an invoice that would explain it.   I then asked if she could tell me on what date I supposedly agreed to employ their services, and again, she told me that she doesn't have access to that information.  For a third time, she began to insist that i just give her the information she called about...I interrupted her and explained a few important things:
1) i wasn't even working here last November, so it's very unlikely that i ordered any services, especially such costly ones!
2) i don't have any recollection of ever talking to anyone, signing anything, or agreeing to anything even similar to this service...whatever it is.
3) i have no confirmation emails, letters, or otherwise to confirm purchase of this "service".

I then asked her how much the invoice was for and she told me 495.00!!!  I told her, in no uncertain terms, that i would be disputing this invoice, and that i would not be able to give her any information until she either; transferred me to a manager, or had a manager call me back who could at least attempt to direct me to an example of the "services" rendered.  She repeated, "so you want me to have a manager call you back?" in a very solemn tone, and i said, "yes please".  She hung up.  It has been almost 6 hours now, and i have not received a call-back.  I don't expect that i will ever hear from a "manager", or that this scam will ever try and contact me again at all.

I guess the main point is this:  If i am going to give out sensitive billing information, especially for a large charge (495.00) on a service I don't remember ordering,  I expect the collecting agent to be able to,at the very least, direct me to someone who can explain what i'm being charged for.  This company does not have an adequate representation on their website to explain their services, and was unable to even explain where their services can be found!  I work for a company that pays it's bills, is a long-standing member of the Better Business Bureau, and has no reason not to take responsibility for payment on any services rendered under legitimate agreement.  We have been targeted on multiple occasions by companies claiming to improve our "search rankings" for considerable fees, whom, after researching, turned out to be illegitimate, but this is the first time someone has actually falsely tried to collect while insisting that we owed them for services rendered.  I find it predatory and insulting, especially because they asked for me by name and put my reputation in jeopardy! I see that other's have been contacted by this number with similar stories to tell, and even if i receive an invoice, it will NOT be paid until i receive an itemized and verifiable list or proof of claim.  If anybody else get's this phone call, from this number, make sure you ask them to guide you to an example of the service you're being charged for, not just their subversive website's home page, and you will certainly hear the same run-around that i did.  There is no service being provided, and the "charges" they are trying to collect are simply an attempt dupe you out of 500.00 bucks.  They are using fear and the intimidating prospect that you will be sent to collections to try and get you to give them your billing information.  Before you give them ANY info, make sure you demand to see an example like i said!   On a side note, i am a fair person, if it turns out that a manager does contact me, can provide me with legitimate proof that a service was in fact provided, and can tell me on what date it was ordered, then i will retract this complaint with full apologies.  I'm not holding my breath though!

It is a scam, telling you you owe $498-599 in "Internet advertising" and try to get your billing information.  They ask "do you want to advertise with us another year?" And offered a number so I would "not be billed another year.."  I knew it was a scam bc I hadn't used that business name for a year.
The website they give you is non-existent: netlistingsolutions.com.  They claim to have a recording of you agreeing to the charge and try to get you to confirm this in your phone call.  A Canadian woman witha guy in the background coaching her.

Report them if they call you.
